The employees at this Hastings are friendly and helpful, and their rental credit system is definitely a plus. Its a good place to buy gifts that you might not be able to find elsewhere. The atmosphere in the store is strange, and it is definitely in need of a remodel or something.

Great credits to your account when you return movies early. Been going since they opened, and Im just grateful to find a place where you can still rent a DVD, because Netflix isnt possible where we live yet.

The staff seemed friendly enough, but ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS about movies and TV. I mean SERIOUSLY, what American has never heard of Knightrider or Raiders of the Lost Ark !?!??! Something told me this kid could probably name 20 varieties of marijuana, but he had no clue who Indiana Jones is. Oh well, at least he was friendly and trying to be helpful.

Hastings buy back program is a joke! You could take in an autographed first edition Ernest Hemingway and they would reject it because it doesnt have a bar code. Then if you left it at the store for over a week they would throw it in the garbage (there is a thrift store near by that would be happy to have it, and knows more about the value than Hastings does)!

The movie renting program is a bargain if you dont have netflix or want a new movie. Good selection on everything as well.

Good spot for last minute gift .. OK clearance and sales though!
