This is the second time we have needed the services of Menold Restoration. They were extremely responsive, professional and efficient. This time we had a wet carpet in our basement from all the rain and there was no question in my mind who we would call. Obviously Menolds. They didn’t disappoint at all. As an Elderly slightly disabled couple the day after my Husbands 90th Birthday. Having a water pipe burst in Basement and flood it wasn’t part of the plan! Menold was suggested by Our plumber ! I called right away very upset! They said they would be here as soon as possible. This was a Friday afternoon! A lady called back within a few minutes with an assuring voice they would be here shortly. Angie S. arrived with a crew lead by Cody that went right to work like in a TV commercial! I was upset but Angie quickly calmed my nerves!! She informed us of every single phase that would happen! I don’t recall who called but Our Insurance claims adjuster was here not long after! Menold/Angie took video also of everything, making process easier! It’s a long process and involved . We’re Blessed it wasn’t worse or a Nature disaster, but if you are lucky enough to get Menold & Angie, it couldn’t go any Better.!!

He was friendly and open about what needed to be done and created a high level of confidence that everything would be done right. They were great to communicate with through the whole project. Due to high demand, they couldn’t make it out for several days but called us daily to tell us what steps we could take to start the cleanup project and prevent further damage. Everything went so smooth through the entire process. We hope to never need to use them again, but we will definitely call them first if any other issues arise!

I had a tree fall on my house during a storm, damaging my deck, siding, roof, and chimney. I was stressed and confused when I called Menold in Morton. My project manager, Jeff C. arrived within a couple of hours to check out the damage. Jeff had several contacts for tree removal to get things started, and quickly had a plan of attack for the repairs. I felt much better about things once Jeff was on the case. The chimney replacement created building code issues for my wood-burning fireplace, but we worked through the options. Jeff was always very responsive to my inquiries and quick to resolve issues while the work was being performed. He was also fantastic at helping me navigate the insurance challenges. I’m glad I chose Menold, and was fortunate to get to work with Jeff and Denny, my job site supervisor. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Menold again.

Everything from fire restoration, water/flooding restoration, masonry repairs to pathogen control. Menold is our 1st call for any restoration need.

COMPLETE SCUM OF THE EARTH. They promised that if we did restoration that it would save us from replacing the carpet in our basement. IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL!! After getting a huge bill for failed service I called and asked that they write down/off some of their exorbitant charges for machine rentals (dehumidifiers, etc), not the service charges that the guys performed. They not only refused but threatened to file a lien on our home if we didnt pay asap. He said, well your carpet must have been old. Nope, less than 5 years. Oh, well the water must have set a long time. Nope, problem occurred at 8pm and we had them come out the next day. Every scenario he presented as to why the service didnt work, as they emphatically promised from the beginning, was 100% incorrect. But, he still was a complete ***hole about the whole thing and refused to be reasonable. We had to pay them out of pocket because they billed more than our insurance paid us for the damage and they knew it. GREEDY SCUMBAGS.

Menold exceeded our expectations. We had 7 of water in our finished basement. They saved our carpet and many other irreplaceable valuables. We will gladly call on them again and recommend to our family and friends. Special thanks to Seth!

I work for a company that utilizes Menold on a regular basis for the last couple of years. I cannot say enough about how easy they are to work with. They also do everything the right way and dont try to take short cuts. The staff and management exemplify integrity and customer service in their work. Menold always makes my company look great when they are taking care of our customers. This is extremely important when starting with a problem like water damage. A+ all the way!

I need to preface this review with the fact that the bathroom does look nice and the employees of Menold were very polite and courteous. However, the project took much longer than expected, there were too many issues along the way in my opinion and a few irreparable gaffs that left me upset regarding the project as a whole.We were told that the project (remodeling the one bathroom in the house) would take 2 weeks, but to not hold them to that. Thats a reasonable statement. I hoped that it would be done in 2, planned for 3 and would have accepted 4 weeks. Unfortunately it stretched to 6 weeks (43 days from start to finish). Of that 9 work days there was zero work done. For all but ~4 days we were without a toilet and/or shower.During the project there were a few mistakes that had to be fixed:- The wall between the bathroom and adjoining closet was cut through when it shouldnt have been. There were clothes in the closet, but were thankfully unharmed.- A small 1 diameter circle part of a shared wall was damaged during demo that was later filled and repainted.- After the new drywall was hung, the old light fixture was installed. This had to be removed, the holes filled and painted over before the correct light fixture was installed.- The main sewer drain was not sealed properly and leaked until someone came back to close it properly.- The shower drain that was installed was not installed properly, nor tested. It leaked a ton of water until someone came back to glue a joint together.- The sink drain had a faulty part that leaked. I caught the leak after it was installed. A person came out and fixed it.There are a few minor things that are still existing and likely bother me because of the other issues in the project:- A scratch on the bathtub when they temporarily moved the toilet into it.- The shower head being slightly off-center.- The door to the vanity being at an angle (closes fine though)- The light switch case is not level.The communication during the project was also frustrating. Seeing as this was my first experience with a construction/remodeling contracting company I likely made some bad assumptions and mistakes regarding communication during the project. From my perspective this is what occurred: The salesperson had me explain the needs of the project and asked for me to pick out certain fixtures that would be installed in the house. The superintendent on the project required me to reiterate almost all of the information of the project to them. The demo crew that showed up also needed parts of the project reiterated before they began. Once the demo and basic remodel was done, it became clear there wasnt much communication within Menold regarding this particular project. The light fixture had to be sent to them multiple times. The expectation of sending the link and SKU to the salesperson was that that particular items would be installed. Instead we found out that they didnt communicate that within the company and we had to resend it to other people. We were told that a similar mirror and wall cabinet would be installed, but this wasnt tracked or communicated. While not a major problem, it was disconcerting and was simply another pain point in the project.We were asked to pick out the flooring 2 weeks before the project began so that it could be ordered and ready to go when it was needed. The flooring wasnt installed until 4th week of the project. After talking with the flooring salesperson it seemed like the product wasnt ordered or coordinated until the project began rather than before. I still dont know what exactly the problem was here, but something didnt go according to plan.

They understand the traumatic situations that can occur and are prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure the job gets done. The technicians are well trained and use the best equipment and technology available. If you have water in your basement, fire damage, or even a moldy bathroom, Menold can restore it! Please call them, day or night, for any situation that can happen to your home or business!

I had small fire and needed the flooring replaced and some cleaning done, not big job less than 5000 in repairs. It took them 3 months to get the job done when I did all the hard work myself. I.e. removal of carpet and flooring, cleaning etc. The communication between the contractor and myself was nonexistent. I had to call every week to get an update in which he wouldnt respond to and I would have to call back a week later. The contractor didnt order the right amount of stuff on 3 different occasions which prolonged the work even longer. Was not happy, they only care about big money and they do not care about you as a customer.

T’s bad enough having been subjected to the unscrupulous business practices of Hartford Insurance Company but the company hired to do the repairs, Menold Fire and Reconstruction is charging me for work they did not do. I have photographic/video documentation of proof that the work charged for has not been completed. A signed contract stating they would do the work, as well as copies of their fraudulent charges totaling $1,898.00 which they have deducted from the $14,000 I sent to them to get the process started. They are refusing to complete the job because I won’t pay for unnecessary odor elimination processes that I cannot afford. They have already cost me 2 months rental income at $850 per month while waiting on them to get started with this process. The hold up has been that the insurance company has refused to pay for Nathan Costner, project manager’s redundant charges and he insists on passing those charges on to me. They obviously saw a little old woman to take advantage of and have tried to do just that.
