Finn is a true artist. He makes quality custom items. Always a must stop when visiting Morro Bay. He added leather to save the handles on my straw bag. Looks like it came with them. Beautiful and comfortable to hold.

Finn does incredible work. He hand made some bags for my motorcycle (photo attached).

From a picky leather craftsmans point of view, this place was amazing. Yeah, stock is limited but for the most part you can can get your general supplies. You also have an impressive selection of in house made goods. As well as the ability to custom request things, be it a jacket, belt, wallet, anything you would like. Staff is incredibly friendly and will answer even the most basic of questions within making you feel stupid. I am definitely going to spread the word about the Leather Shop to my buddies and anyone I know into Leatherwork.

Fins always has good stuff hes very reasonable and can fix virtually anything he is a little backed up though so make sure you dont need something right away

This was a simple repair request on a nice leather dog leash. I asked to have the stitch match the already existing pattern (see pictures) but instead got the crappy, sloppy, “I don’t care what you want because I’m too busy for you” finish. To add insult, I was charged $10 for less than 30 seconds of work. I expected better based on previous reviews.

Was their about a week ago didnt find anything this stores been here forever. They got tools, hats, wallets some with chains, belts some punk studded wristbands. Small kinda quaint but nostalgic and unique to morro bay maybe overlooked but always been here little off shop to check out near the circle and gas stations.

I went in for a belt stitching repair and ended up chatting with the owner for a bit. The repair only took a few minutes, the owner is a really nice knowledgeable guy. Ill definitely be back when I need a new belt or wallet.

This guy made it happen I could take my surfboard back to germany, because I painted my self made board almost fully at the top and completely on the bottom, some glasers werent really ready or able to glas it and I had not much time left at that point to get it done, before I had to go back to Germany, which was another reason why the previous glasers couldnt make it, he could!!, and appreciate it a lot.Good quality despite all the paint on the foam and fast done, he even prioritized my board to get it done in time .Thanks Corry you made it happen!!

Its the real deal in leather work! Finn is the owner, and has 2 talented ladies to help with the constant flow of longtime fans. Thus, you always walk in to a happy vibe, and tons of help. BTW, they have beautiful hand made credit card, billfolds, and leather bound notebooks for the perfect stocking stuffers!

Im so impressed with Finns work. I was asked to design a leather bracelet with an inherited and very meaningful gold coin as the center piece and gold custom made horse heads on the side.The hardest part for me was finding a leather collaborator.I tried with a collaborator across the country that made beautiful pieces, but we werent communicating correctly and the prototypes werent what I really wanted.Then my client went to Finns shop and realized hes the guy. And indeed Finn is the guy. The bracelet in leather he created was exactly right for my client.Ive not met him, but worked long distance with him. Id work with him again in a second.
