The owner was rude and didnt seem to care about how they made people feel. She got mad because i couldnt eat all my food and im pregnant so eating messes with me. She wanted to flip out saying we were wasting and how we weren’t allowed back

Love this place! Larry (the owner) his mom, and all the many volunteers that support this fine establishment are very fine people and The Daily Bread is a wonderful service that adds to its communitys well being.

Best place on the planet !! I have had bad days and I come to eat and I just feel better and I feel hope. Best people I have ever met!!

I had a good hot meal there and it was really good. It was chili beans and it just had just arrived enough spicy hot in it

The ministry is outstanding. If you are hungry, they will feed you and feed you a LOT, at no charge if you cannot afford to pay. The people are just marvelous as well. That said, the food quality varies widely. The cooks often use salt heavily. Some dishes are wonderful, some not-so-good, alas. However, this is a MINISTRY, not a for-profit restaurant and still deserve an overall rating of five stars.

These volunteers is some of the most wonderful people. A group of loveing Christians. Hope Williams rest in peace was a very good hearted man he loved everyone. His wife Sue I love that woman she is so sweet good-hearted. I cannot say enough of how good she is. I would like to thank the Daily Bread for helping me through the hard times I had recently. God bless everyone there.

Truly wonderful and caring people. I was surprised...unfortunately... How some people were rude and acted like they HAD to be there to serve them. Sad... These folks are kind and compassionate and do give their time to help. Be kind in return folks.A Thank You is all they need to keep helping people.

Never have eaten here but heard its good. They help alot of people in need of a hot meal I have donated there in the past and staff was very appreciative and kind. So if your looking for a good cause or want to donate food or money this is a good organization to do so.

I didnt like finding out that my contributions toward the Daily Bread are being misused;Upon taking a low income, 8 1/2 month pregnant & expecting mother to eat, a managerial staff member refused her food due to wearing a paternity gown. Which according to my knowledge and by information collected, is one of the 3 outfits she has available that fits and all are gowns. I went in with her and she was dressed accordingly, jacket included, so by no means should she have been denied food that I help contribute. Then theres the several, if not more, foul things thats said to her in my presence while leaving the building. I will be deciding on future donations from hence forth

Went to eat, was tastefully dressed silk sleeveless blouse pin striped black pants, and this older wo.an stopped me and said I had to leave be ause mf blouse had no slaves.. Ive seen people in tank tops and she said nothing. .They are a bias a d pick n choose people they think deserves to be fed

Me and my wife have fallen hard on tough times with bills and all to the point where we dont have anything afterwards money wise and cant cut back on anything cause everything is needed we pay for so we are in a big rut rite now financially we went here today they were very nice and they have good food I was actually shocked cause being a community free food venue for the needy was honestly expecting not much but wow it was really good like we didnt feel ashamed or out of place or judged like we thought we would be really nice people its like you are at a regular comfortable restaurant. booths or tables. The meal was restraunt good to rib with ranch potatoes a salad. beans and a piece of toast with a carton of milk and a piece of birthday cake we were seriously impressed Ive been to other places to eat when I was homeless at 18 Im 26 now but then I went to salvation army and other places in Johnson city and they had nothing on this place this place was like comparing McDonalds to a tv dinner better food wise as far as how nice the people are all we can say is wow until we get doing better we may eat here possibly more often but as soon as we can afford to keep food in the house we will stop going cause we aint gonna take away from other people who need it as bad as we do rite now and we are gonna try to volunteer for them so that we contribute back thank you daily bread for being there your a life saver see you tomorrow sometime maybe thank God for places like this

Beware of any out the norm behavior or dress. Very strict dress code. Do not wear anyrhing provacative or revealing that might be suggestive to o the opposite sexWatch how youbspeake, in cussing . then know this all activity on the porch is recorded so Dont smoke or talk about or reveal contraband items. Those fieeing from the law will find this is where they will be found.. First anx foremost act as,a guest. Carry proper mannbe prors knowing this will be proper and keep anyone from m going to jai. Anytime ask if uh oudont

This place is just an excuse for the little Dutch owners to get a tax break. They ARE NOT there to help the poor like they claim. They are the greediest and heartless people I have ever seen. IM aging this Ive seen the old gray haired ***** jump on too many people including my mentally ill brother. NOT TO MENTION this place is extremely nasty.
