Cumberland Glass installed mirrors in my bathroom 25 years ago. My husband and I recently had our bathroom remodeled and needed mirrors reinstalled. I reached out to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I was told that appointments could not be made; however, someone would call me when someone was in my area. I explained that my husband and myself worked outside of the home and asked we be called the day before so we could make arrangements to be there. I was told that is not how they did estimates. The lady added me to the list and told me they would call me. I was contacted twice to come to my home for an estimate 60 mins prior to their planned arrival; however, my husband and I were working and could not let the workers in. I reached back out to the company today to see if I had been dropped from the call list. I was told yes, potential customers’ names are removed after two attempts as they had to move on to other potential customers. I asked again if I could make an appointment and was told no. I asked if I needed to contact someone else to get the mirrors reinstalled. I was told yes, I needed to call a handyman. I asked if Cumberland Glass did not want my business. I was told that the company was booking jobs 6 weeks out and that they had plenty of business now. Previously, I’ve had great experiences with this company; however, I’ve learned that they have changed ownership since my last interaction—and it seems their customer-focused philosophy has changed. Based upon my interaction recently, I would not recommend them.

My wife was told that ordering glass for my window would fix a leak and when it arrived she was told by the same employee that it wouldn’t fix the leak and the wrong size window was ordered for my window replacement. When they tried to install the glass that wouldn’t fix our window leak, my wife tried to ask if it would fix the problem the employee treated her like she was stupid for thinking that, even though he was the one that said it would fix it. When my wife called to try and get a refund for the now useless windows the owner refused and hung up on her. Never use this company!
