Fantastic studio space for rent! This is my new go to rental space for my shoots. They have extensive audio and lighting gear available for use too. Dan the owner is very informative and willing to help with any questions you have about the equipment or shoots. I believe they offer podcasting space as well, but I have yet to use that. I cant say enough about Strix!! They handled the camera, lighting, and sound for our Zoom broadcast for our daughters Bat Mitzvah. They very professional leading up to the event, during, and afterwards. They were constantly working during the event to ensure everything went well and made adjustments as needed. We barely even realized they were there! And to top it all off... they were incredibly nice and very easy to work with. I needed a headshot so googled “headshots”. Called a couple of places but ultimately chose StrixMedia as they seemed like relaxed, fun, not stuffy. I had been having a pretty terrible day and just wanted a nice positive experience. I got what i wanted. They took 70+ headshots, and worked with me for almost an hour to make sure lighting, body positioning, hair, face tilt, background, etc all looked amazing and then helped me chose just the perfect photo. I cannot recommend Strix Media highly enough. We engaged them to help produce the Zoom service of a very significant milestone family event, our childs Bar Mitzvah. Dan and his team were extremely professional and easy to work with. They put in a lot of time learning the ins and outs of the space where the service would take place, including its in-house audio and video capabilities, and on the day of the big event, their production of the service was fantastic. Having clear, crisp, well-lit video shots of our child and our family at our milestone event was priceless. There is certainly nothing wrong with doing a Zoom service using an iPad or laptop camera, but for us the additional expense of a professionally shot service was well worth it. Strix gets our highest recommendation.

I was asked to make a video for a local council election and I could have rented a camera myself and screwed it all up, or hire people I trust to do it right. StrixMedia was the way to go. Given the challenges with covid, they were very professional with safety measures and accommodating with scheduling. I am the cantor at at synagogue in Basking Ridge, NJ and we just completed a livestream of our high holy day services with Strix Media producing the livestream for us in our sanctuary. The thing I think people need to know to appreciate this review are that our annual high holiday services are far and away the most important event for our congregation and, for many of our members, coming to these services is their main connection with the synagogue and our staff and clergy. We put ourselves into Strixs hands and I am very happy that we did because they did a tremendous job.Dan gave us great guidance, great service and his firm, organized and professional manner made us focus on what we needed to get done to be ready for the services. Im not competent to judge the quality of their equipment and technical capabilities, but we got excellent feedback from the congregants who watched the stream, and my take on it is that only a very few people had any problems watching the stream, those problems were all short-lived. (Of course, those problems happened at the user-end, but we had never streamed anything before, so the decision to stream our high holy day services and to pay for production services was not easy for us.)At my end (i.e., the sanctuary from where the service was being broadcast) the set-up was very good - very smooth. The Rabbi and I were able to do our thing, the way we like to, with what struck me as very little need to work within limits of the video and sound equipment. They used two cameras, which gave us, basically, four shots - two angles and a close-up version for each angle. We probably could have paid for more cameras and more shots, but they helped us make the decision and I think it was just right. We had a monitor, which was very useful (even though I could only see it as a blur through my reading glasses). As I recall, they were able to accommodate all of our requests in setting up the shots and using lighting (we only used and needed very little, but it probably made a significant difference in the quality of the image).Ive saved mentioning the person who ran the stream for us - i.e., directed us through the services, controlled all the video and audio levels and did whatever is done while the service is actually going on, and also set up the cameras, microphones, lights, etc. in the sanctuary. This was Josh Liberio, who was a tremendous pleasure to work with and made it possible for us to do what we do, the best we could do it - free from any anxiety about the stream and technical stuff. I think we were very lucky to have Josh as our director.In the 10 or so hours of streamed services, there was one point where the internet connection stopped working. This sort of thing was our main fear about live streaming. Josh took care of it, without scaring us, and, with the 20 second delay, Im pretty sure the people watching had no idea anything had happened.I highly recommend Strix Media because of their ability, service and professionalism and because they did an excellent job for us, helped us to do the best service we could and because we got consistency fantastic feedback from the people who watched our most important services through live stream.
