When this was Clark tire, it was great. Now, my husband came in, requested they patch up our tire, charged us, and it was still losing air. Took it to buffs and told us it wasnt even patched (it didnt even need a patch) and that the stem was leaking air. They fixed it AT NO CHARGE. Dont go here people. I used to always recommend them. Now they just take your money and dont actually do anything. Go to buffs instead.

I was traveling from Greenville, SC to Blowing Rock, NC for work last week and noticed part of my undercarriage had become unscrewed and dangling. I pulled into Mr. Tire and were extremely helpful and kind. They made sure the piece was secure and had me back on the road in 15 minutes. We picked up a very large piece of metal in one our tires on a Sunday afternoon coming back from Gatlinburg, TN. Bill at the front desk & mechanic were excellent, they had us back on the road within 15 minutes. We were really surprised they were open on a Sunday afternoon.

This place seems to do the bare minimum to get by. They dont give accurate cost estimates. If you have a coupon I think they just find someone way to add something to the total that way you always wind up paying the same price in the end.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff went out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted. That also treated me with respect, which I appreciate. Will be back

I had a completely positive experience with Mr. Tire auto in Morganton. I wish they were located in my city! I was on a trip when I ran into some car trouble and was stuck on the exit ramp for the highway. A tow truck brought me to Mr. Tire, but since they pick up their phones so quickly I was able to talk to someone about the repair before arriving. Jody, Phil, and Donny were all super helpful. They completed my repair in a single day and my car runs great. Thank you!

On I 40 Thursday heading back to Florida, had a flat tire. Checked online found your shop was close, went and was happily greeted by Don. Found out tire was not repairable. I brought my car to Mr Tire for for an oil change. The guy who changed my oil did a horrible job. When I picked it back up, it starting leaking oil. Has been leaking oil ever since.

Excellent service from start to finish.I initially called Mr. Tire Auto Service Center because theyre the only AAA Approved Service Center in Morganton, but theyre all around great.The managers on staff and the customer service team were polite, professional, and informative from the moment I called from my broken down car until I walked out the shop with the keys.After the repairs were made the mechanic actually came out with the damaged part in hand, and walked me through what was wrong with it, how this effected by vehicle, and what actions he took with making the repair.Phenomenal service, will definitely be back for my next oil change too.

Thought I paid a lot at tires plus 48$ for oil change. I was wrong. These jokers at mr tire charged 81$ for an oil change and an air filter on a miny van. PS They said that was with a discount!! Slow too, even with an appointment! Better get an estimate first!

I went in to get a valve stem change in my tire when I realized my Tire kept going flat and we had to keep putting air in it. The young lady at the desk was quick and efficient and after assisting the gentlemen who changed the valve and put air in the tire. It was all of about 20 minutes.FREE OF CHARGE!!!! We didnt end up getting the tires we didnt end up getting the front end alignment they were out of power due to our hurricane but the two dirty gel oven and the in the garage it came in everyday to see if the power was on for that day and stayed all day bored out of their minds and were very very helpful people they were going to get us out of a good jam absolutely positively stop by and see the guys and a little lady that works there they even let us bring our dogs in and rearranged our tires so we were safe for our trip back the next morning when the tires came in but a hurricane happened and at night and took their power

On a trip to the mountains on a recent Saturday, my husband and I had trouble with a tire on our truck. We called Mr Tire and talked with a wonderful person named Whitney. She told us to come over and she would help us out. She got us right in, and David did an amazing job of patching our tire. Everyone was so professional and helpful.

Waited on an oil change for over two hrs. Now I checked my oil (60miles) later and its almost black? Feel ripped off.

I am done with Mr tire charged me 400 plus dollars to do the brakes and then every few months would have to take it back always charge me extra for something else set there for hours each time and still have problems

I needed a new tire on a car that had been sitting for almost 2 yrs. The manager had good advice about the replacement tire. The mechanic checked the car over. It was raining when I left, and the wiper blades were rotted. They replaced them immediately. Im happy with the service I got that day.

Didnt know why tire kept losing air. Also getting faulty sensor message checked out. They found screw in tire (another place couldnt find anything). And they replaced two sensors for me. Job well done.

These guys help me find trailer tires that they didnt have and then they put them on my trailer to help me get back on the road I cant think of enough for a great service and attitude

I got there before closing. Had a flat off 40. I know it was only 15 mins before closing, but the manager said they wouldn’t put on new tire on for me. Kinda disappointing because my family and I have bought our tires there for years. Won’t be buying from there again, unfortunately.

We take all of our vehicles here for all the repairs they need. Great prices and customer service. Whitney is fantastic!! Kept me up to date with what they were charging me and when my truck would be finished. Even offered to stay a little past closing time to make sure I could pick truck up because I was coming on my break from work and didnt know exactly when I could be there!!! Will be back again!!

My wife had accidentally driven on a flat tire, and the tire was ruined after that. I drove in on the spare tire, and in just a few minutes had a tire to match the set. They had even taken the time to install the spare back in its place. The staff there provided excellent service! I would absolutely recommend taking your car to them for any service!

Returning home from visiting TN; my vehicle broke down on I-40. I was 4 hours away from home. I had it towed to Mr. Tire in Morganton. I had never heard of the town of Morganton or Mr. Tire. The vehicle arrived after 3pm. I was first greeted with a very warm reception from Whitney at the front desk. The technicians quickly pulled it into the bay and diagnosed the problem. I needed a new alternator. The part could be ordered, but they would be unable to complete the job before closing. I had already began to make arrangements for my family (5 of us) to stay at a local hotel. Jeff the mechanic agreed to work late and finish the job, so that we could get back on the road. I am thankful for the opportunity to meet these wonderful people. They truly took care of my family in a time of crisis. If I were in Morganton, Mr. Tire would definitely be my mechanic of choice.

Brought our truck here to be inspected and the staff was really nice. Today I came back for an oil change and tire rotation and they explained everything they were doing and why. Will definitely keep coming back. Hard to find friendly service guys who break everything down for non car smart folks!

I was driving my Subaru from Durham to Asheville, NC, and was confronted with an alert that I needed to check my oil. In fact my engine was completely OUT OF OIL. This appeared on my dashboard. After trying to obtain the correct oil at one gas station, I was directed by someone local to Mr. Tire. I entered the main area at the front of the store and an incredibly nice man checked, but they did not have in stock the correct oil. But he was wonderful. He told me to pull my car around to the garage or service area, and said someone would top off my oil. Sure enough, a bright, helpful, knowledgeable young man named Caleb gave me the correct oil, checked the levels more than once and could not have been nicer. When I asked what I owed them, he returned to tell me, just write a nice review. I told him Id been an English Professor and would have no difficulty in doing so. I seldom encounter people who make me believe this is still a great country, but I did on Monday, June 3rd, 2019. I couldnt recommend this Mr. Tire more highly.

Good place. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Quick turnaround time no matter what time of day you go. It does get busy, but still manages to accomplish the task in a timely manner. Best tire prices in town. Highly recommend.

There mechanics are very respectful an very good been few times I thought things needed replace that was major an would of payed with out out question but they were truelly honest I take all my vehicles here I trust noone else and there speed is amazing

Im a little late getting this review in but I thought it was important. My valve stem on my van broke off right at 5pm on a Saturday. I called so over for help and the assistant manager at Mr Tire answered the phone she informed my they were closed but asked me what I needed. I told her the story and she told me that they were there cleaning and would try to help me. Once in the shop they found out my valve stem was one with the air pressure sensor. Luckily they had it in stock and was able to switch it out for me. Now remember this was after closing hours. As they worked on the van the young last that I talked to on the phone and I chatted. When it was over she was so nice. She told me since it was an emergency that they would not charge me the shop fees just the cost of the part. They really helped me out that day. If the assistant manager would not have answered the phone I would have been left on the side of the road just hoping I could find help. I will be taking so my business there from now on.

Tried and tried to contact for information and appointment. No one answers and then a busy signal comes on as if someone is intentionally hanging up. Maybe just a bad line.

We are not car people and he illustrated clearly why he would not recommend purchasing the vehicle in the condition that it was in. We greatly appreciate his input and candor. We got a flat tire on 40 while heading home from vacation. AAA directed us to Mr. Tire to get service. When we got there the manager was super nice and even offered our son a popsicle while we waited. It was a bit of a delay in our trip, but all worked out much better than it could have. Their prices were reasonable as well. I would recommend going there for tire service.

I had car trouble while on a camping trip with a bunch of boys. We scrambled around Morganton to find a place open that could help us. Mr. Tire was one of the few places we found open. They quickly diagnosed the problem, explained it--eve let us go into the shop with them so they could show what they found and let me make an informed decision about what to repairs to make. Repair was done within a the time promised (couple of hours) and we were safely on our way.

I was on a road trip and my brakes went out. It was a Saturday at noon and Mr. Tire was the only auto repair open. AAA towed my car there and the manager went above and beyond to fit my vehicle into the schedule and to get me back on the road. It was a 3 hour wait but they have wifi which helped. The bill was pretty high, but considering the circumstances the repair had to be done and I felt blessed to be safely back on the road!

Dont bring your car here. I am new to the area and was looking for a trustworthy and knowledgeable auto shop, Mr. Tire failed twice.Brought my car in for an oil change and to check a tire because I heard a thumping sound when driving. They did the oil change and told me tire was fine.Next week I go back because the thumping sound in the tire was still there. So they recommend a tire balance, then an alignment, saying that will fix the sound. So I say okay lets do it. I pick my car up after these services and not only was there grease all over my mat, which ruined my brand new shoes ( no paper mat was placed down), but the thumping sound was still there. So not only did they not fix the sound TWICE, they cant even put down paper mats. Very aggravating.So I take my car down the road to another shop, they pop it on the lift, and call me in right away saying there is a big lump in the tire. They even let me feel it for myself and there was a nice big lump in the left rear tire.Mr. Tire? Mr Tire missed it twice - putting my family in danger.

Waited almost 3 hours for an oil change for two cars, even with having an appointment. Only reason given was that the shop had more walk ins than expected. Seems this place doesnt care whether you have an appointment or not, they pick and chose which car theyll take next. The man that was helping us, Joseph, even forgot our second car needing to be worked on, even though he had the keys and information the entire time. Highly doubt Ill be returning.

The only reason I didn’t give it one star is because jeff( manager) was super nice and courteous. Took my car for an alignment and it was worse after they “fixed” it. Ended up having to take it to a more qualified shop and get now drives like a brand new car. 604.24 later. they failed to even put the valve stem caps back on my tires. Jeff is a super nice individual, but the “technicians” suck at their job. Plus if your there for awhile. Avoid the waiting area. It wasn’t the cleanest. Empty drink bottles and wrappers laying everywhere

They were able to squeeze me in on a Sunday. They were super helpful and very clearly not just in it for the money. As a woman I always worry about being taken advantage of at auto stores and that was definitely not the case here.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and brake light bulb replacement. They offered a free tire rotation and I accepted. It was a good thing that I did because they found a rather large section on my tire that was into the second layer of threads. They worked with me to find tires that I could afford. They were very courteousand helpful. I wont take my car anywhere else!

I was in the mountains for vacation and picked a nail up in my tire. Obviously I was bummed since I was on vacation that I had to go spend an hour at a mechanic. But they got me in and out the door in 20-30 minutes and I was back on on my way to doing fun things. And they were very accommodating to my dog that was with me. I would highly suggest.

I went back to them and they took the tire off and checked it, checked the rim and plug..couldnt find anything wrong..and they didnt charge me a thing for the service! What a wonderful group of people! Me and my husband experienced a flat tire on the side of I-40 on our way home yesterday. We pulled the car over and started to change the flat tire to our spare tire. The ground was soft and the jack fell over so my low to the ground Prius was flat on the ground. At that point, there was no way we could lift the car without another jack. I called 4 or 5 road side assistance companies and no one could come out to help us. I then started to call tire companies in the area. Most said they were unable to help but when I called Mr. Tire (who does not do roadside service) they say they would send an employee with a jack to help us. A nice gentleman named Logan came to our rescue. We followed him to Mr. TIre and Michael was very kind and helped us get our tire replaced and back on the road. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I would highly recommend their services.

Very competitive and affordable prices, we have always had a great experience going there. The staff is vary friendly and honest on what your vehicle needs. The waiting area is on the smaller side. They have free coffee and wifi also a TV in the waiting room. Highly recommend.

Return to my car to find my dash had been gone through and a piece of the dash was lying in the floor along with my glasses and case. Guy tried to tell me he wasn’t on that side of my dash. I am not stupid this stuff was not there when I handed over the keys. I will not be a repeat customer!

Very upset! Spent over $1500 in tires here last year and was told that buying tires here meant they would rotate them for free. I also recommended others to go there and they did. I Called today to see when I could get my tires rotated and was told the only way they do that is if I payed for and oil change, which I don’t need. Was told by a guy name Jody that he just started and whoever told me that wasn’t available so I told him I’d start buying tires elsewhere and he said that’s fine have a nice day. Wouldn’t recommend doing business anywhere that doesn’t hold to there word.

With an upcoming trip on the horizon my wife went in for an oil change and was recommended 2 tires which she purchased. No problem there.On the trip we noticed that part of the wheel well was sticking out at an angle. The clip on that holds the wrap around portion of the bumper was snapped.No problem there. Stuff happens, any force away from the wheel well that grabs that spot could do it...like a tire getting pulled off...but the fix is cheap.The manager immediately pushed back WITHOUT EVEN HEARING THE WHOLE STORY. I had to reassure him we were not out to get something for nothing. That was a red flag, as if these situations are so commonplace they were on edge 24/7.We sent a picture in showing the damage, no response.Next my wife stopped in to show the manager in person.My wife was told it was impossible that it was thier fault and he basically told her she did it.She thought he simply misunderstood and repeated to which inhe became blatantly agitated and left her a bit shock that she had just been painted a foolish woman who tried to lie to them.Folks, she is barely over 5 ft and likely the kindest, sweetest woman in town.I can fix the clip myself.We will never be back to Mr Tire. They do not care about their customers if a problem arises such as this and treat women in such situations like a bully would.Stay away.

5 stars is NOT enough!!!!7:30am, my Husband was stranded on the side of I 40 with a tire blow out and no spare!! Called Mr. Tire and Christina was phenomenal!! She and Trevor worked to get my husband, the tire and rim picked up, a temporary tire mounted on his rim, they took him back to his car, got the tire on his car and he went back up there and bought 4 new tires and is back on the road headed to work!!!!! DO NOT waste your time on this place. I spent over $500 to get my truck fixed. Two weeks later it is doing the exact same thing. We were told that there is a 30 day warranty and if the issue returns to bring it back for them to fix it. Took my truck up to the new manager who informed us that it was misdiagnosed from some of their former employees. Now he is trying to charge us more money to fix the original problem. This is your company, your employees. It is not the customers fault that your employees misdiagnosed the vehicle.

Took my car and truck there for oil changes they never topped fluids off. Bought new tires from them and they scratched the rims on my wife’s 2014 car. Since they switched from Clark to Mr tire I noticed the quality of work has declined.

My husband visited with Michelin Tire and they agreed to allow him to trade in our tires with only 14,000 for new run flat ones. The Michelin rep talked with Jeff and told him the entire story. When my husband called to order the tires, Jeff told him he didnt want to have anything to do with it since we did not buy the old set from him. Great way to get additional business, Jeff. My husband had planned on using Mr. Tire for his brake job but will now take it to Asheville.

Mr. Tire in Morganton, NC has the best employees ever. I bought 2108 Toyota last week and the indicator light for low pressure came on on my way to work this morning. Frantic and Worried I pulled in thinking okay Ill have to pay for the service for them to check my tires and nope that was not the case - they checked all tires and only had to put in one tire 1 lb of pressure and my light went off. Asked what do I owe you and they were nothing glad to be of help..... Thank you guys for having great customer service and helping this ole lady out.... I would recommend you all any day......

I had a flat tire near there exit 15 minutes before closing. I called them and they said come bring it in and I’ll try to help. They closed at 7pm and I didn’t get there until 7:20pm. Andrew waited until I got there and rotated my spare tire to the back of my car for my safety. He checked all my other tires and made sure I would get to my destination safely. I offered to pay him but he said just pass on the good deed to the next person. He made a horrible situation 100% better! I will be recommended Mr Tire to all of my friends!

They have changed ownership since I bought my tires here, but the same staff is mostly there. Excellent quality service, friendly. They spent a long time checking a noise in my universal joint but charged a nominal fee rather than taking advantage.

Pretty good service. Had a rattling noise coming from my car. Luckily, they were able to fit me in the same day I called to set up an appointment. Diagnosed my problem in 30 minutes and it was bad sway bar bushings. Took a little longer than expected for parts to ship to the store, but very quick installation around 15-20 minutes.
