The owner was great to work with! She went above and beyond to help us find a match for our existing flooring.

We had some water damage occur in a small area on our hardwood floors. Above Board Flooring was hired to remove the damaged wood, replace it, sand, stain and seal the entire area. They even smoothed out some ripples that were in our original floors through their sanding process. The project was completely on time and without any hiccups.

We recently purchased flooring for our basement from Above Board Flooring. The process was very simple. They allowed us to take home several large samples in order to really see how it would look in our space and that made all the difference. Materials delivered on time and in perfect condition. Great communication throughout the process - GREAT customer service which is so hard to find these days. I highly recommend Above Board Flooring.

Cant even get a quote WOW hilarious sent pictures and kept getting will send the quote by lunch and then tells me was covered up OK I can take my money elsewhere. Terrible business because this just tells me how their work may be.Update Per Companys Response:An appointment was made by phone for November 27 for owner to come by my house to provide an estimate of a dent on my floor. On the 27th, owner called and advised that he did not need to come to the house based off of the pictures provided. He asked on the phone if I knew the manufacturer and I told him no I didnt know. He specifed that he would provide an estimate later that day. No estimate. I followed up with him 2 days later and he said he will provide by lunch. Lunch came and no estimate. I followed up again and he said later that day. That night came and still no estimate. I advise Id be taking my business elsewhere. Wife of owner then text advising that a quote hasnt been provided because of the manufacturer not being provided. Nowhere did husband mention that as a delay and further more why couldnt a estimate be provided for repair with a comparable flooring (as other companies Ive dealt with for the same repair). Company could have easily avoided a bad situation if they were upfront and didnt over promise and under deliver. Attached communication for reference. Tamara and her crew were great to work with. We live in ATL and have an investment property in Mooresville so the partnership was critical. Tamara coordinated the flooring selection, guidance on site prep, installation and much more (painting, tile labor, etc.). If we do another local project I will not shop. Above Board is it.

The Above Board team was excellent to work with. We had a very short window of days that we needed our floor installed and they not only delivered, but the team installing was professional, detail oriented and did an awesome job. I also appreciated the education we received to help us choose the right luxury vinyl flooring for our needs.

They did a great job sanding and staining the hardwood floors in our living room and perfectly matched the old floor beside it in the foyer. This was a five star job. The hardwood repair for the breakfast area went very well too except for a slight gap at the very end which they inspected and said is not an issue and due to the older board connected to it. Major job finished in 3 days as promised but scheduling trim took longer understandably due to the current situation. Not perfect but very satisfied with the work done.

We were not able to provide much information regarding the stain color or what turned out to be a mixture of stains with a unique process. Hubby and I had plank tile installed in our dining room from a well known entity. A few months after our install, we noticed that our floors were buckling.After months of back and forth banter with said entity, they advised me to obtain an appraisal from a National Wood and Flooring (NWFA) certified appraiser, and if the appraisers results supported negligence on their part, then they would honor our warranty.I immediately starting Googling appraisers in the area, that met the criteria and I landed on Andrew. (Thank goodness!)I called him and explained my scenario. He could have easily set the appointment and charged us for his services. INSTEAD, he coached us and equipped us with the documentation that we needed, in support of our case with said company, at NO CHARGE to us. Andrew came out to my house within a couple of days of calling to give me an estimate. He emailed the estimate later that day and was able to start a couple of days later. The work was quoted and performed with the utmost detail and professionalism. Although my job was small and unique they treated just as important. I would highly recommend Above Board for more work around my home.

They cancelled the first appointment and had to reschedule. Came and took measurements and never heard from them again. No estimate. No response to phone messages or emails.

These guys exceeded my expectations and literally saved us. They may not be the absolute cheapest. I know, we tried the cheapest in town, Andrew and Above Board Flooring fixed the horror show installation the cheapest in town did to our hardwoods. We used them again because every need we had was exceeded down to the smallest detail. Yet, we still got a great deal too!

Refinishing your hardwood floor overall is not a fun experience with having to moving everything out and then also be out of your home for a week but working with Andrew, Tamera and especially Ceaser at ABF make this difficult process less of a hassle. My floors look great and I had a few issues (no fault of ABF) after they were done the team was responsive and quick to fix. I highly recommend.

I went to Above Board Flooring on Williamson Road. I found out another Flooring store had moved in. The owner of this company told me Above Board Flooring went out of business. I found this hard to believe and Googled them to see if this was true as they actually just moved to have their warehouse and showroom at 1 location. I am so glad I found them as I purchased 3000 ft of Hardwood Flooring along with installation. They are also putting in a new French door and doing some drywall work as well. Don’t trust the Flooring company that told me this as Above Board Flooring has moved on Raceway Drive in Mooresvill

Hard to believe they stay in business with customer service like this. Tried to get away with a higher price, argued with us about a quoted price for moving furniture, fired the salesperson and the replacement nor the owner never visited our job to see what they were charging us for, installers made a dusty mess with no warning that it was going to happen ( and could have easily done their cutting on a cover patio right outside a door from where the work was going on!), complete incompetence around how to trim around a fireplace, and an expectation that they were going to charge us more once they figured out a lame answer to the problem -- 3 weeks after the rest of the job was done!

We cant say enough about Above Board Flooring !! Our whole experience from beginning to end far surpassed our expectations !! Thank you for your superb customer service and superior quality !! You have a customer for life !!

Very disappointed with my carpet was never stretch when installed now I have wrinkles all over my house. Talk to the owner Andrew and he said he would take care of it. But unfortunately he wont call be back or message me. Worst service ever. If you need carpet installed dont use this company.

Above Board Flooring is probably the most awesome flooring company in the LKN area and Charlotte.Andrew is a top notch owner who is also a certified Hardwood Flooring Inspector.He was honest and told me my floors did not need sanded and refinished, only screened with 1 coat of poly. The rest in Mooresville said differently, a bunch of crooks!!!!! Above Board Flooring saved me thousands and the floors look brand new. Horrible customer service. not reputable. they installed flooring that needed repairs, took months to get someone to come look at the issue and then they never followed up to come back to repair as they stated they would. I finally get a repair appointment. an employee called me the night prior stating everything was set up for tomorrow and then the installer didnt show up and I was told that was my fault because they tried calling. hmm I talked to an employee the night before.The employees do not communicate with each other they dont know what the other is doing and it impacts the customer in a VERY negative way. its been a year since the initial install and still no progress on repairs.Please be VERY careful if you do business with Above Board Flooring and be prepared to wait months if you have issues. there is a real lack of customer service and respect.

My floors look like new. They also had a great showroom, full of all types of samples for Carpet, Laminate, Cermanic Tile and so much more.
