I had a shingle roof replacement done with drip edges all the way around along with the removal of and old chimney from the center of the house. When Phil showed up for the appointment to do the evaluation on my roof to do the estimate. He had samples of all of the materials that would be used, was patient, professional, and explained all the options. He was prompt in getting multiple written quotes to me. He was quick to reply to all my emails and phone calls to address any questions or concerns I had. The work was done efficiently with a lot of attention to detail along with good cleanup process. I am well pleased with the entire experience, the the quality of work that was done, and the look of my new silver birch shingled roof.

Philco Roofing and Remodeling replace a roof for us in 2019 and his roofing team was excellent. Phil came out in a very timely manner and provide us with a quote and his team was very punctual and efficient in removing our existing roof, replacing some of the roof sheathing and installing the new roof. In August of 2018, I Met with Phillip Gilmore of Philco Roofing and had him check my roof as I had a leak. After further investigation, I determined it would be best to replace the roof. Philco did an excellent job and replaced rotten wood in several locations. The price was very fair and the clean up was more than I could have hoped for. I have had no issues since then. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roof work.

A few years back, we had some shingles blow off (right before a whole bunch of rain was expected). The Philco crew was in the area, and sent someone over at lunch time to help us ASAP. We were so impressed by the reasonable price and excellent customer service!! The owner, Phillip, was also very honest when we inquired about the possibility of needing a new roof. Just prior to Christmas, I was working in my office and heard what i thought was dripping water on the top of my gas log fireplace box. Much to my surprise, it was a leak, along with several others in the attic. We looked for referrals on a local website and called the 3 most often referenced, We spoke with them all and the only thing i can say is we made the right choice! Philcom Roofing came out(The actual owner Phillip Gilmore was present) and examined the roof from the outside as well as from the attic, provided photos of the damaged areas (many) and existing leaks, and recommended that a new roof be the best option, as the roof was 18 years old. Philco Roofing came out and within 2 days, we had a new roof that was first and foremost leak free, our property was in BETTER shape than before they started(it was clean, not a nail, not a shingle, no signs of a new roof at all!), it was like everyone knew there role, the roof was off, the team was cleaning up, the new roof was being installed, and everyone was busy doing there part, it was a work of art. Phil provided us with a inspection of the roof and property after the completion of the installation, and gutters, downspouts, etc... and everything looked as if nothing had happened. About 2 weeks later the doorbell rang and it was Phil coming back to see if anything surfaced after rains, nails, shingles, etc, it all looked great. I would recommend PHILCO Roofing for anyone that is in need of a roof. Also, failed to mention that they are Master Shingle Applicators for CertainTeed shingles. Phillip and his team did a great job. I couldn’t be more happy.I called him for an estimate to replace the roof / gutters and look at the front porch. He showed up on time and did a thorough inspection. He showed me how the porch wasn’t built correctly which was causing my issues there. I had a leak in the kitchenette area that had done sheet rock damage to the ceiling. He also quoted to repair that area. I needed a new ceiling installed in the laundry room so I ask him to add that in. I had recently redone my bathroom but still needed crown molding installed and he was kind enough to add that into the estimate as well. We settled on the price and signed the agreement. Once the Construction date was pinned down (about 10 days out). All the work took about a week and the guys doing the work was extremely professional and nice. The inside and outside came out beautiful. It looks like a different ( better ) house. I would highly recommend them for any work you have.

They did a great job on my mother’s house in Troutman. Phill met the insurance adjuster at the house and got her approved for wind damage. The work was done in a day. The crew did a great job and the yard was very clean when they finished. I would highly recommend them.

When i started looking for a roofing contractor i quickly discovered that professionalism is very non existent in roofing companies. i had gone threw at least a dozen contractors trying to find one to do the work i needed done. most would never return your calls few would even show up for the appointment time to look at the roof, they few that did show up were late and took forever to get back with me on the quote. i got to a point where i had run out of local companies to call and took a chance on and called PHILCO thinking he would tell me I was to far away from him,but he didnt,he listened to what i was needing done,set up an appointment time,called me an hour before that time to make sure i was gonna be there and he even showed up a few minutes early.He even brought 2 of his employees with him to help measure and actually inspect under the shingles to see if there was any damage under the shingles, he even went as far as getting up in my attic to inspect the wood, that is some thing no one else ever did, All the other contractors that did show just took measurements and said ill call you back.some thing else none of the other contractors mentioned was all the hail and wind damage i had from a tornado that had come threw about 10 months earlier and he suggested i call my homeowners and let them look at it. so i did. and he was correct my homeowners PAID for a new roof. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU that saved me so much money. Phil always stayed in touch with me and was very prompt about returning phone calls. we finally set up a day to the work, he came back by for a second inspection a few days before and said his crew would be on site at 7 and would work until it was done as long as the rain held off,AND THEY DID,,his hole crew including his self worked hard all day long. they didnt drag their feet or waist any time,they even laid large tarps all around the house to catch everything that came off the roof and even went over the yard with roller magnets to catch any loos nails . i could say a hole lot more about how awesome this crew is but yall should find out on your own. PHILCO is epitome of professionalism in the roofing industry

I do not normally do reviews. I did not know Philco Roofing until I called and ask for an estimate. I needed to replace an aging roof. I did my homework. I called 5 companies. Four came out. One did not.A couple others were less expensive. Talked greatly about warranties and discounts if I signed on the dotted line withing 24-48 hours. I go with family owned businesses and local. Everyone was nice. One did the pressure and Ill take care of you and gave me an estimate after looking at an aerial online picture of house. Another offered a slight reduction but wanted to charge additional for extras (Chimney, splash guard, other roof vents). I came close to going to a local and small company that two friends told me about. At the last minute, I went with Philco Roofing.Phillip the owner came out quickly. Talked in a professional manner. Yes, he served other areas and seemed busy. Yet, he treated me like I was his neighbor. We went over warranties, shingle colors, pricing, extras, inspections, and then some. Toss in some family and sports talk. You learn about someone when asking them questions and spending time with them. He answered all phone calls. And took time for me. I told the owner about other offers. He did not say anything negative. He stood by his product and more importantly his workmanship. And he clearly described how the shingle company he used would back the new roof.Phillip the owner of Philco Roofing was honest, trustworthy, and dependable. At the end, I asked him if he could come off a little bit off the price so I could meet my budget. The discount wasnt as large as others. But it helped seal the deal.The roof looks great. I found 2 or 3 small round plastic pieces in yard. (No nails). The mulch I had down was smoothed over. They cleaned the gutters too! Here is the best part. A storm hit 6 weeks later and a large tree limb bored into the house causing a round 8 inch limb to create a hole in roof. The Philco Roofing owner offered to come out and fix it. Knowing there were more than 100 homes and businesses with much more storm damage, I told him I had someone who can take care of it. Phillip the owner then offered, and at no charge, to drop off some roofing materials for the repairs.Your roof should last 15-25 years. It is an investment and major expense whether you have insurance or not. I put trust and honesty at the top of my list with any major repairs and with people. I appreciate the professional and personal approach.I would not hesitate to strongly encourage you to get an estimate and use Philco Roofing for a new roof or other services. I would easily use them again.
