We have been out on the sightseeing boat (Catawba Queen) and the dinner cruise (Lady of the Lake), and both cruises were enjoyable. The marina is right off the road, and easy to find. Dinner on the dinner cruise was pretty good. My only complaint is that I wish theyd wash the windows prior to the cruises. They have been dirty both times Ive been on them.
I have heard about the dinner cruise on lady of the lake but I didn’t know they offered sightseeing cruises as well and we always look for these things when we go out of town but we have a gem right here at home. The boat was older you can tell but the staff was amazing Kassie our bartender was so wonderful and she made our son feel so special for his birthday. The Captain Lou Johnson let our son drive the boat. Our son said it was the most amazing trip he had. The views are out of this world looking at all the beautiful houses, the lake, everyone using jet skis and other water vehicles. I would definitely do this again. Thank you Queens landing crew for helping out son have the best birthday.
We did visit Queens Landing for the sightseeing cruise. Suprising everything that is advertised on their billboard was closed except for the booking and tours offices.I found the office staff at the reservation desk for the Catawba Queen and the Lady of the Lake to be short and and less than informative. They didnt want to answer questions and they walked away from guest. The ships are old and would benefit from a good cleaning.
Went on the brunch. Food was cold. Some items too spicy. Drinks were good. Bathrooms clean. Carpet on the stairs showing its age. Was a beautiful day to be out on the lake. Not worth the money
My husband and I went on the Lady of the Lake dinner cruise, and we are so impressed! The kindness of the staff first caught my attention. They all had smiles and made sure to make you feel comfortable and happy. The food was great, I had the salmon and my husband had the chicken. The music was lovely, the weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing and jovial. I just really can’t find one thing to complain about. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you to the staff and crew of Queens Landing for making my hubby’s 45th birthday super special!
Good way to spend a couple hours exploring Lake Normand and hearing local history. You get what you pay for, meaning experience is worth the $20 but dont expect a 5* yacht experience. Tables and chairs are those youd expect at family reunions. They did have a full bar ($) and walk around with free cups of water. Id technically rate the 3.5* because of one too many political, unnecessary innuendos but rounding up to 4* for benefit of the doubt.Tip- get there early to get a seat/table below the canopy since they fill up quick. Otherwise you sit exposed to the sun, or inside lower deck with limit views and freezing AC (even for a hot summer day). But neither of which would ruin the experience.
Delightful tour. Caption was knowledgeable and entertaining. The drinks we ordered were made well. We did not get the boxed lunches. Its not that long of a tour that we needed food. There are plenty of places to eat afterwards. The houses are beautiful and have interesting stories. Learning about the lake was fun and would recommend this to anyone unfamiliar with the area.
We were looking for a nice relaxing place to visit with some out-of-town guests so we thought we’d try the sightseeing tour on the Catawba Queen. It was exactly what we were looking for. The lower deck is enclosed and was air conditioned (Mid August) and the upper level was open but under a canopy. It was 92 degrees that day and there was a nice breeze coming off the lake so it was hot but comfortable. The seating is cafe-style with tables and chairs. We had some nice cold iced tea and enjoyed the scenery. The Catawba Queen is very casual, sort of like a floating front porch. If you want a laid-back, relaxing activity I recommend this cruise.
Had a great time. The food was good (I recommend the salmon dish). Dessert was even included. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The views were breathtaking. Definitely recommend booking with them ☺️
Loved the cruise at night. Awesome food and service. Friendly staff.Well worth the money.
My husband and I were married on the Catawba Queen back in June 1995 so we decided to go back and recreate some romance for our 26th wedding anniversary this past weekend. It was a beautiful summer evening and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the sunset was stunning and we even got out Captain to play some romantic songs..and many couples took advantage and turned our cruise into the Love Boat. Thanks for the wonderful trip down memory lane!!!
Had a blast! Very affordable. The food was great. Plenty of drinks at the bar. Great vibes! We took both our young children out on the boat. A great date for a couple or a whole family outing! We will definitely turn this into an annual thing!
We took the 90 minute day cruise. It was very relaxing and informative. It’s a great way to see the lake and learn a little history. You can buy drinks and snacks on board. Be sure to get there a little early if you want to sit on upper level of the boat and together with your group. Tables on top fill up fast.
Boat was dirty and not updated. Beef tenderloins over cooked and smelled like fish. I could have had a fantastic dinner somewhere else for what I paid. Certainly not a luxury tour.
Enjoyed a really great Sunday afternoon excursion on Lake Norman. The Captain of the Catawba Queen was informative and entertaining as he safely navigated all over the lake. The catered lunch was surprisingly good, and the crew was courteous and friendly. A really fun trip at a very fair price. Thanks Queens Landing staff and sailors!.
When I bought these tickets, I was told this would be a luau party cruise. 7 of us came expecting a themed party atmosphere. There was no hint anywhere on this boat of anything luau related, and absolutely nothing that could be considered a party. This was the lamest party atmosphere of any event that I’ve ever booked. If you’re looking to just have dinner while you cruise around the lake then this might be for you, but if you’re looking for some fun and excitement this is definitely not the place. The service was lacking. Everyone else had been served their salads, were already finished eating them, and their plates were being cleared for the coming entree; yet, we never received our salads. I had to stop our server to request our salads. He wasn’t even aware or had paid any attention to the fact that we never received ours. Also, be aware that even though you pay $80 for your ticket, water is the only beverage included. You pay extra for soda and tea which I felt was absurd given the cost.
I had family visiting with me from out of state. I purchased these tickets well in advance and was very much looking forward to take my company out on Lake Norman. However, this turned out to be not only very disappointing but embarrassing to say the least. For what I paid for these tickets I thought I was going to get food that was somewhat eatable. 3 of us ordered the beef medallions, which none of us could eat. They were so tough and full of gristle and the other 2 dishes were chicken which were somewhat eatable but very dry. None of us ordered “fish” but somehow when the plates came to the table there was such a strong smell of FISH!!! We were all put off by it. The boat itself was not very tidy. There were cobwebs and lots of areas of the boat that could use some good old fashion elbow grease type of cleaning. I have been on other dinner cruises, lunch cruise and alike while visiting family and friends in other states and I am sad to say that this was the worst I have been on and most embarrassed to say this was where I live. If I could give less than one star I would. There was nothing luxury about this cruise.
My family was in town and I was looking for something different to do. I stumbled across Queens Landings Lady of the Lake Murder Mystery Cruise. What a fun event. My family all had a great time. Food was good. We were at a table with a couple of other people and by the end of the night we were all laughing and having a good time.
I enjoyed this. My guy took me on my very first cruise. Queens landing was very peaceful. Great place for couples or a nice girls trip. Food was filling. We will be going back in the fall
My family and friends have never been on the lake tours and so it was our first time and the crew really were great and took care of everyone while on the tour. They ensured we understood the safety rules and knew where the life jackets were. They ensured that we ate good and had a good time. It was a blast and I would recommend this experience for sure!!!
Very nice cruise. Servers were very attentive! Boat could definitely use a remodel! They also need to get there facts straight regarding history and trivia information! ! Dirty Dancing was filmed at Lake Kure! Not Lake Norman!
Went out for my birthday and had a great time.
My fiancé and I were visiting from ky....and was looking for fun ....We actually enjoyed the sight seeing tour ! The captain was very knowledgeable.... and the staff was very friendly! I had a great time.... all tho the food and drinks are a lil pricey.... we wasn’t hungry but definitely worth the ticket price .....some scenes from the movie dirty dance was filmed on lake Norman .... and I thought that was pretty cool also❤️
We were on the older boat both times. Sister got married on it about 7 years ago. And my birthday this year. Captain is always great. Relaxed, older feel environment nd decor compared to the other boat but enjoy it all the same. Meals are iffy but still good.
It was nice. The tour was awesome and informational. Alot of people didnt know lake norman nc was made by flooding farm land, the houses along the tour are just jaw dropping. The boat captain was very friendly! The crew worked very hard and were just as friendly. Just a FYI there was VERY little to NO mask wearing. The ladies at the bar did wear mask. Most patrons did not. Also Inside gets pretty hot, so get there early to get a seat uptop!
Wonderful boat ride and meal. Its unfortunate that there was no room for us to dine on the open top deck. The lower decks AC temp was too cold for my elder companions. We did get to visit outside, which was glorious.
Beautiful day on the lake but the captain announced details of about thirty homes over the loud speaker every other minute and so loud you couldnt even talk to your guests. We were so annoyed we would never go back.
Very nice. Reasonable priced tour, with reasonable priced bottled beer. Very nice time. Capt. Was a good guy. Great time...
The staff was wonderful in assisting me with my birthday celebration. The food was great. The only criticism is that we had to wait at the dock for another party to arrive for almost 30 minutes, but our trip was not extended by 30 minutes.
Awesome service & music. A truly beautiful evening. The food was very well presented & delicious.
Had a great dinner on last Friday. Cameron helped us in anyway he could as well as others. We enjoyed dinner and the music. It was smooth sailed and we had a nice time. Will definitely be back!
Our requested accommodations where not available because they didn’t read the detailsBoat was full of spidersWaitress was inattentive to us.My Wife order was not correctThe head waitress was awesome. She worked very hard to cover for our waitress lack of coverage. I think the cost of the cruise was a little overpriced because condition of the ship. The food was delicious though. One more thing off the bucket list
Great being out on the water but the food was just decent and the Catawba Queen was super old and infested with spiders.
Captain was hella funny but very knowledgeable about Lake Norman and its history. Kids loved the tour!
We have been members for years. We absolutely love this club! BEAUTIFUL boats and fantastic employees! If you want to be treated like royalty this is the place!!
Great value for an hour + a half boat ride. Staff is kind + very accommodating. Well definitely be back for another cruise.
First time visit and it was a nice experience. However, the service was lacking. Went to the bar ordered and paid for drinks and was told by the bartender that she would run the drinks back to us. Well 15/20 minutes later when another waiter comes to the table to take drink orders, we let him know that we had ordered and paid for drinks and had not yet received. He seemed to not believe what we said which led us to go back to the bar to see the bartender. She confirmed that she had not yet made the drinks and had misplaced the tickets. Our original server was very apologetic about the mix-up and wait when she brought the drinks to the table. That may have earned them another star but I ended up having to wait for my dessert which I told the guy what our table of six wanted when he came to the table with only 5 desserts. We had to seek them out to remind them we were still waiting. Hopefully they will get more help and my next experience will be an awesome one!!
Manager was very rude at check-in. Dinner cruise boat is in disrepair as well as the paddle boat, spider webs and water stains all over the place. For the cost management should spend some time knocking down spider webs and cleaning. Only enjoyable part of the trip was the workers, they are top notch and should consider applying somewhere where they’ll be appreciated. Won’t be back, what a disappointment
Cruise was great and history lesson was interesting. Waitresses and waiters were friendly and helpful.Good experience!
Very friendly staff and excellent boat Trip
My boyfriend and I went with my cousin and girlfriend. We had the most amazing time. The tour was great, the staff was super nice, food was great, and the ride was great. It was well worth the money and we will be doing this again.
Had a great time cruising around lake Norman. The tour guide was excellent and the crew was polite and courteous!
The boat ride is fun and educational but the gasoline/diesel smell was over powering on the lower level. Not sure I will be doing that again if I cannot get a seat up top.
I was recently on the Lady of the Lake for a dinner cruise. We had a good time and enjoyed both the cruise and the food. Our server did an excellent job... has to be a workout going up and down those steps on a moving boat 😁.Given that the food had to be loaded onto the ship vs. cooked during the cruise... I thought it was a good temperature as well as good quality. Definitely a pleasant surprise as I was a bit skeptical. There was one point during the night that was not so pleasant. Without getting into details, we were close enough to overhear an accusation against our server that was factually inaccurate. This young lady still handled it like a champ and continued serving them with a polite and professional demeanor... far better than I would have expected given the circumstances.I share this because when youre out in the middle of the lake, you cant just get up and leave. Something to consider when booking a trip like this. So I was glad she chose the high ground and saved the evening. She had every reason to be upset and allow it to impact her level of service to everyone... but didnt. A sign of a well trained staff.Short of the unfortunate & uncontrollable issue above, it was a perfect night. Good food, good staff, good scenery... Will most definitely return.
Customer service was bland. Not bad but she definitely didnt put any energy into caring to help. I booked elsewhere.
Staff worked hard and made the best of the situation. Boat was in poor repair, first floor smelt like diesel and the AC was loud and vent was growing things. To bad they had all last year to bring the boat up to shape and they did nothing.
This was an awesome ride! Such a great experience to see all the sights of Lake Norman. Definitely recommend booking in advance and getting there early for a good seat on the top deck! The tour guide was super informational and engaging with the crowd. Well worth it!
I took my husband here for our anniversary and it was simply beautiful 😍. From the time we were boarding. All staff were pleasant and welcoming. The food was delicious. And the captain was great. Would have love to have had some dancing and a little karaoke. But still a great time
Overall good experience. Menu items could use a bit of work.
My daughter and I took my husband/Dad for an early Fathers Day present, when we got on board our table was taken by someone else. They were asked to move but they just ignored the request, we ended up sitting outside with no table and no air conditioning, and we couldnt hear the music. We were told we would get extra special treatment but were pretty much ignored. Took over an hour for my husband to get a drink and everyone on the boat ate dinner and ours was served 40 minutes later in front of a crowd of people that out to hang out. Mix ups could happen but we should have been offered some money back or a another cruise on the house. This was our first time on a boat on Lake Norman since we are new to the area but I would not spend the money to go again, very disappointing.
The tour cruise was okay. Found myself asking “which house is he talking about?” a few times. Did not appreciate the political tone, including being told not to vote for Roy Cooper for Governor. I didn’t pay for a political rally - just a relaxing cruise. There’s a time and place for politics. The Queen’s Landing is not that place. If you believe it is, say so BEFORE the tickets are purchased!!!!
Outstanding customer service! Very knowledgeable friendly staff. Very nice tour of lake Norman.
Definitely a memorable night! The drinks, food, atmosphere, and staff was amazing! It was my Birthday so the captain allowed me to drive the boat lol! The sunset was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Took the Lady of Lake Fathers Day brunch tour and it was awesome and the captain was amazing.Rode the mechanic bull afterwards. They have a lot to offer. I would highly recommend.
My best friend and I went on the Lady of the Lake dinner cruise and found it to be disappointing. We were expecting a nice dinner on the lake, but we got a party boat instead. There was a corporate party right next to us, and they were extremely loud and rude throughout the entire experience. (Yelling, incessant swearing at top volume, vaping, etc...and the staff did nothing about it.) The music was so loud that having conversation was difficult (especially given the loud, drunken people we were surrounded by). The food was mediocre. The staff was friendly, and riding on the lake was nice. If youre looking for something elegant with great food, this is not where to spend your $200.
Very enjoyable time. Recommend taking the Lake Norman Boat Tour
My family and I went on a site seeing cruise and the boat was disgusting. Full of dirt, spiders, webs, dust, mildew and mold! Everything was so filthy I couldn’t even sit down. Even the fan was broken and old. Water was leaking from everywhere. The service from the employees was the only thing that was good. I had family from out of town and I was very embarrassed. Will not go again unless there are big changes. Very disappointed!
The food was very good 👍😋!! I had a wonderful time with my friends 😊❤
Loved the experience, but the boat seemed a little old. I saw Lady of the Lake & I would like to get on board with that boat next.
Public boat access. Totally great place. Kayaking friendly. Good parking.
Had a great experience. Staff was cheerful as well as helpful. Barbie was awesome!
The appearance on the inside of the boat sketchy the windows to look out were disgusting. The entire setup couldve been better for $50.( Plastic cup for a child for water glasses on the table)The staff was very friendly
We had a great time . Celebrating my husbands birthday . Thanks for the great evening.
Great place to visit. Grandkids enjoyed feeding the fish from the dock. We didnt ride the River Queen this time.
The captain and crew were all very kind. The food was delicious. We went during the COVID-19 pandemic, seating was spacious and guests wore masks when not actively eating. The boat was a little dated, but I loved it because it added to our experience. I look forward to returning soon!
A good time of dinner with salad entree and choice of 2 desserts, with a seating arrangement that includes walk around the bow or the stern, with clean marine facility. A good captain and first mate and support staff at dock and afloat, with wet bar and bartender, and mealservers, with live DJ music. Clean air conditioned accommodations. 👍⚓
Great places to sight see the captain is very knowledgeable of the Area and Funny too 🤣😂😂
Wonderful! Very clean and a great experience will definitely visit again!
We took the lady of the lake cruise. It was nice. Captain provided lots of details about Lake Norman and about the famous houses/owners around the area. There was a bar that served beer, wine and drinks.
I celebrated my birthday with my friends yesterday. We had a great time. The staff and crew were very friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed the live singing. Next, I plan on booking the sightseeing tour.
The fourth of July fireworks were beautiful! (On the third) thanks for allowing families to enjoy!
Took A ride on the Catawba Queen 6-17-2021 first time out on the big lake nice boat great crew happy to get you a drink sit back and enjoy the views of the big homes on the lake.Ride on the right side you see more of the homes.
Staff was very friendly and patient, its a good thing to do with friends
Great place for boat tours, boat and jet ski rental.
Loved the queen landing the food was good and I never ate on a boat before but I loved it if you ever get the chance to do it you wont regret it the crew is so nice and the view is amazing
