My car was there for 3 days and it cost me $368.42 to get it out. It was towed from a 711 that was literally 2.6 miles away. It was there 3 days because they told me I would have to pay an after hours fee for having a worker come up here on the weekend.... the people where easy to deal with and nice but who wouldnt be making that type of money. Should be against the law man. Those fees are ridiculous

Let me start by saying if you ever need a tow this is the service to go with!There was an abandoned vehicle buy my business and I had called four different services and was turned down by all of them. They all had excuses as to why they could not perform the duties asked. However, American Tow and Recovery came without question. They were prompt and on time. the tow truck driver was super courteous And very professional. She was in and out within 15 minutes. He did such a good job I felt it was my duty to write the best review that I could. Im not embellishing anything and I am not exaggerating. This company is top-notch and I feel as if people should know that so I am using my power as a five-star Google reviewer for good!

Tried to run my neice off the road while screaming profanities out the window at us.

We had a flat tire on an RV and our emergency roadside service sent American to us. We waited an hour and a half only to find they didnt bring the right equipment to change the tire. The mechanic said he didnt know he would be working on an RV although the service said it was clearly stated on the service ticket. Another company had to be called - which meant another hour of waiting. Very disappointed with this company.

Do not under any circumstances use this company. My insurance sends them out and they lie and say your estimated time is 90 minutes to get the service call but actually you will wait 3 hours plus. Its happened twice, if your insurance company says American tow ask for someone else

Had a retail swap out, was told be at my house at 2:52pm,well called american and was told be 45 more minutes (smh) anyways well after the said time they finally showed up. Its not like I had something to do but we was needing that car. Omg the drivers(2),no words nope.

I had a flat and my car didn’t come with a spare tire. I tired using the spare from a similar Hyundai model. Inexperienced and not knowing what I was doing I called roadside assistance because I thought the spare tire didn’t fit properly.The dispatch was fast, once he got there he offered to place the spare for me. I had already decided that I didn’t want to mess with it and have it towed to my tire shop. He was a life saver!I know it may seem like an easy fix but I’m grateful for the exceptional service!

Do not ever let them pick up your vehicle you will have nothing but problems. They give you the run around for days to get stuff out of your vehicle. These guys are great, Marcus came out and moved my tool boxes for me. Loaded and moved them with as much care as I would have. Extremely professional and extremely fairly priced. I will definitely use them in the future for any moves.

I cant even give this business a single star....they were in every way possible trying to prevent me from getting my car...Im young and a bit naive at times especially given the fact Ive never had to deal with this situation....not only did they know that but they played on it in every way they could....my car was impounded for less than 4 days and towed for less than 15 miles @ $3.75 per mile...add to that the $81.something hook up fee and my total was $597.46!!!! Umm..what? Although it goes without being said ....I would never, never ever never never never....never ever ever ever ever...... recommend this place if ur lucky enough to get a choice....Im Im telling u do not...do not do not choose this place they will try to make it nearly impossible for you to get your vehicle back

I called two other places before this one, and both of them were very rude and wanted 100+ dollars just to tow it a mile.Immediately felt comfortable when I called American and I will not use another towing company. AWEFUL DO NOT USE— SCAMMERS WILL TRY TO REFUSE TO RELEASE YOUR VEHICLEI used this company to tow my vehicle after it had been in a accident, the Wrecker arrived when we informed him where we wanted the vehicle to be towed he informed us that they were not able to tell what they were they had to take it back to their facility and then our insurance would have to settle out with them for them to release it to where we are wanting to have our vehicle repaired up should’ve been our first time at this place was going to be sketchy. The next morning I called the company so I could have my vehicle released. I spoke to the owner his name is Justin, I explained that I was in a wreck and his company towed my vehicle to their yard. Justin proceeded to tell me that he was not going to release my vehicle because there is a hold on it. I proceeded to explain to him that that I was hit, there is no hold on my car and the only reason why my vehicle is there is because the guy who came out to tow refused to take my vehicle where I wanted to go in the first place. He proceeded to yell at me telling me that I didn’t tell him that in the first place and that this conversation is recorded and that he would play it for me. I told him that fine and that I was on my way to his facility to get my vehicle released, he proceeded to say he’ll be there at 0930.Once we got there he informed me that we needed a paper copy of our insurance for the vehicle to be released, I informed him that I have the electronic version he refused to take it saying he would not release my vehicle until I provided a copy of the insurance. He proceeded to yell at me saying... I didn’t play nice on the phone and I don’t need to be talking to him because my name is not on the tittle he continues to yell at me to where I told him to stop talking to me since I apparently can’t talk to you about the vehicles I don’t need you yelling at me because you have little man syndrome who’s proud to display a gun on his hit in an attempt to intimidate someone. He proceeded to talk to my spouse.He eventually released the vehicle not before saying he called the police after we told him that this whole situation had been unprofessional. Long story short this man scammed 335.50 for a tow that was 3mils from their shop during company hrs with only having the vehicle for 12hr max.

My husband had car trouble with our 1940 chevy street rod. We are from out of state & in a state of panic. Without the help & kindness & professionalism of Jerry Smith, we would not have been able to get our car fixed and make it to car show at ok city fairgrounds. He was absolutely the most polite & helpful, courteous person we couldve ever had. I would highly recommend this tow service because of him

Cannot even give this company 1 star. Horrible customer service. I have phone records, witnesses and this rude lady who was on the phone refused to listen to my story. She continuously interrupted me, spoke over me and ultimately hung up on me as I was telling my occurrence of events. Before she hung up, she couldn’t tell me where my car is. Rude, not very professional. I had to place 4 calls to have my car released to insurance company. I suspect the release was delayed so they could continue to charge storage fees. To add to the delay in releasing my vehicle to state farm, they hurried down to the court clerks office to send me a certified letter to try and claim my vehicle. Crazy.

The driver damaged the frame on our truck towing it 3 miles on a flatbed. After numerous calls and emails to the owner, Bryan, we got no response. We stopped by his office twice before he had the decency to face us. At that time, he admitted his driver damaged our vehicle, told us it was cosmetic only and took no action. We took this to our insurance company and our truck was totalled. After our insurance company dealt with them, they had to reimburse us our deductible. So glad they at least had some amount of liability. Still awful bc we have not been able to insure it with full coverage since then. Brian is not any business owner I would ever deal with again!

Let me tell yall how awesome these folk are.... Had my car impounded through Moore, ok PD. A Mr. Larry came to tow my husbands 1989 camaro and was super nice and helpful, even though it was freezing. Later that day me and the husband go to get the car out of impound at American tow and two gentlemen named Dusty & Nathan went out of their way to help us with our car (rotor issue). We just want to thank these two for all of their help and patience with us. We laughed and talked the whole 3hrs we were there (yes 3hrs on a rotor). On June 18th American Tow and Recovery was contacted through my roadside assistance program. During transport from the OKC Airport to the Rover dealership in Edmond, the driver of the truck had a blowout on his tow dolly. The driver called and informed me of the blowout incident. When I picked up my vehicle two days later from the dealer I noticed the damage to my car. I have contacted this company several times. Spoke with Bryan once out of all the numerous calls. Emailed him my estimate, pictures of the damage and yet still wont return my calls. Poor customer service. I would not recommend them to anybody.

An obviously inexperienced driver towed my vehicle from my parking space under my car port, leaving tire marks ACROSS MY FRONT YARD, as well as SKID MARKS on my driveway from the driver NOT paying attention if the parking break were on or not. $1800 worth of damage!

Additional “fees”, wait/stand by fee, fsc charge, tax, registration, mileage fee, storage fee, hook fee. Then on top of that they won’t let you get the insurance verification from the car. They know they have your car, and stalling or giving any excuse to prolong the process puts more money in their pockets. Over $220 for a 5 mile tow. Drivers very confrontational and try to intimidate owners trying to retrieve cars. I would avoid this company if at all possible; they displayed no integrity.

Shameful predatory practice of essentially barely legal carjacking at a vulnerable time. Son had an accident and both insurance company and state trooper arranged for these guys to come get the car. As soon as we realized it was leaving and the towing guy didnt even say where it was going, we called them and asked it to be sent to the nearest dealership for repair.They refused and pulled it into their wrecking yard. this was on a Friday and they are closed over the weekend so we get charged three days of storage. later they said they could have pulled it out on the weekend but there is an extra charge to get someone there. Then on Monday we have to have the car moved to a repair shop and guess what? American Tow gets to charge us yet again to tow it there! The total towing range was within a five mile radius and the whole fiasco cost us almost $400! Dont let these guys anywhere near your car.
