I initially started using Cool Telecom for our business phone services about 5 or 6 years ago. There was not much of a learning curve with the CT system. After planning and install, it was pretty much plug/play from day one. The few times we have needed support, they handled things right away.I did leave CT after a couple of years to try another system (Cebod), due to unresolved technical issues. CT was gracious and helpful during the separation. Clearly when they say there is no contract, it is a true statement.It was not long before I discovered I was mistaken. The technical issues were never related to the phone system, and the Cebod system was seriously lacking when comparing features, and service. One phone call, and we were back on the CT system with no fuss.Currently we are on their cloud based system with 15 stations, multiple line extensions each, endless features, and our cell phones linked in. We LOVE IT! There is not a more feature-rich system that compares to what we get from Cool Telecom.
I was super skeptical of Internet Based telephone and was hesitant to try Cool Telecom. The last time I tired to use VOIP was almost 10 years ago. Although we did get off to a rocky start, the problem was with my network. I had some legacy gear attached and a rats nest of cables that I was forced to clean up. So now, not only do I have crystal clear phone calls, my network runs faster than it ever did.I have the convenience of working from home on days I need to without feeling disconnected from my office.The smart phone app is my favorite feature. I can record my calls, play my on hold advertising, conference or transfer with the tap of a couple of buttons. The flexibility to route calls to the right person is key in my office.The cloud feature recently helped us continue call continuity when we had a power outage. Since our office phones were all powered off, our systems ability to reroute calls to our cell phones meant we werent closed for the day. We could still make sales with our laptops and public wifi. I oversee the IT for a multi location eye surgery company. Cool Telecom has been our saving grace when it comes to VoIP and virtual faxes. We started working with them in 2013 and had our expectations exceeded each and every time we present them a challenge or feature we are wanting. I recommend Cool Telecom for any size business who is wanting to cut the cords from traditional, featureless telephone systems and who want a system that can be expanded and configured with relative ease.
After the one of the 2013 tornadoes devastated our office (at the time), my boss asked me to find a phone system that has features like capability to record phone calls without a separate recorder, able to transfer phone calls to employees cellphones (who were out of the field), better conference calls without additional add-ons, etc., but he did not want a VoIP system. I looked and looked and could not find what he was looking for. After some convincing that a VoIP system is what we needed we decided that Cool Telecom was the best choice for us. They were to do everything that my boss wanted and more.After a few years of using Cool Telecom, my boss decided to switch phone companies. It just seem that we were having a lot of issues with our phone system. My boss contacted a new phone system and was the only one testing out the new system all the while gutting and redesigning the future office space for us. Since he was barely in the office (that we were in at the time) my boss was not able to test the new system out so we prematurely switched companies when we moved into our new building. Needless to say, we used the new unit for less than a year and have decided to break our 3 year contract to go back to Cool Telecom.We found that it was not Cool Telecoms fault that our phone system was having issue, it was due to us not having enough bandwidth. Since we are back with Cool Telecom and have enough bandwidth now, there has not been any issues and we are happy to stay with Cool Telecom!
We chose to go with Cool Telecom when we were remodeling our office and had our land line ripped out. We liked this technology and the features it came with. We now have unlimited phone lines and have had as many as 15 simultaneous calls (we are a doctors office). Before with our landline, we only had 4, so it has definitely increased our communication with our patients. We love the feature of the failover calls. When our internet service fails us, our phones roll over to our cell phones and patients are none the wiser with no loss in communication. We now get our faxes by email so any unwanted faxes dont waste paper and toner. I have an endless supply of email addresses for my growing staff so I no longer have to use an untrusted webmail (like yahoo). The call quality is great and the speaker phone function on our Cisco phones is crystal clear. I can manage everything online from changing voicemail passwords to creating email accounts. I can use the monitoring feature and listen to a call to see what was REALLY said (which is handy). It is set up to automatically start ringing when we open and stop when we close. All of the holidays for the rest of the year are set so I dont have to worry about turning the phones over. I can even use the cell phone bridge to call a patient and it looks like its from the office, when really its from my car. Couldnt be easier and I would highly recommend it.
