They did fix my transmission case which was great but forgot to tighten back up my axel bearing and it caused so many more issues. I had to go somewhere else for them to finish and fix the job they were supposed to do. They were in a rush and didn’t do the whole job. I did go back a couple days after they finished because it was making a noise and they did not look at it he told me it was my transmission and wouldn’t even take a look at it. I paid $2600 and theydoing finish the job. I will not be going back.EDITED:I will not delete it because it’s under my relatives name, but it’s my car. I know 100% I came to you.
This place is remarkable.Had an emergency last Friday with my starter and due to a family reunion and memorial service for my family member. Phil worked me in without any hesitation. Great professional and his mechanic is top notch for sure.Quality assurance at its best!!Thanks Phil!!
The owner is very nice and friendly, he made me very comfortable leaveing my vehicle with him. Upfront and honest. I will definitely be returning for any future repairs.
Phil worked with me to pay off my repairs so I could get my vehicle on the road. Great crew he has there. Would recommend this place to anybody and everybody
The Communication between the shop and the customer are few and far between. Jim the owner is a nice guy. When I first brought my truck in, It was clear there was an issue with the transmission system. The plan was to fix the cooler lines that busted, then see if the transmission worked properly. Jim originally quoted me $740 to fix the cooler lines. I agreed to this price taking to consideration it was still higher than most shops. I had to call the shop every day to see what was going on my vehicle. Every time I called, he told me he would give me a call shortly with an update. I never received any call backs. I called once again, as I did every day prior, and was told of the truck was ready to be picked up. When I got to the shop and received the invoice, I was in SHOCK. The final cost was $1180... $440 more than I was originally told. The invoice had an transmission service that I was unaware of it until I came to pay. I was also never notified about the additional charges or work that needed to be done. The labor charge was $120 an hour (Higher than most places). I just picked up the truck today it seems like they did a good job fixing the cooler lines. Communication and fair pricing are the roots of a good business. Unfortunately Jims transmission/auto center fell short.
We had the pleasure working with Phil. He was very helpful, honest, knowledgeable and kind. I would highly recommend this shop.
Transmission went out right around the corner from these guys. So I backed on in told em to fix it...then I looked at the reviews for this place and got scared. But let me tell you, they got me goin again and my truck is running like new, better than its run in a long time. Transmissions are not cheap and when I called around to check others prices, the best anybody else could do was to offer me a better warranty. I recommend these guys.
Phil is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet and they provide good service at a good price I’ve never had any complaints with any of the vehicles that I’ve taking to this place I’ve always received great service and phil is good about following up on things that he says he will.
I took my Mercedes in for an engine mount replacement and replacement of a small adapter on the radiator. He suggested doing a cooling system flush and I agreed since the radiator had to be at least partially drained to replace that fitting. When I picked the car up after the flush I drove to a doctors appointment and the engine was running cool. Later it was running hot. It runs as if the thermostat is busted, but I cannot be sure.My cooling system uses 16.4 quarts but he only used 11 quarts of the 19 quarts I supplied him. The adapter still leaks and when I called him he told me to please not call again.I also gave him detailed instructions from Mercedes Benz on the proper procedure to replace the motor mounts. We went over the instructions in great detail and I marked important areas on the copy I gave him. He DID NOT give the instructions to the mechanic, just put them in a folder. As a result, the mount replacement was not done as specified by Mercedes.I tried to discuss this with him in a very relaxed and orderly way but he ordered me off his property and told me that if I didnt leave he would call the police and have me arrested. When I got home I called to ask a minor question of the mechanic and Jim, the owner, said Please do not call this business again. So what I have is a $450 bill and no precise knowledge of what was done and why the car thermostat system no longer works.I really cannot recommend this company to anyone for any reason. Jim represents himself as a very good person before the work is done but is not good after the bill is paid.I would recommend that anyone considering any work on their car find another place to have the work done.
A friend recommended these guys to me and my Nissan Maxima had quit moving. I had it towed in to their place looking at $5000 to repair. I was very nervous but did not want to buy a new car. 2 hours later the manager called me and said good news, the throttle body assembly was bad and needed to be replaced. I did not know they did auto repair there also. The cost was $1,000 and the car drove like new today when I picked it up. The manager Brian, was fantastic. The shop was clean and no grease on the car when I picked it up(hate that). Recommend them highly.
DECEPTIVE, SLOW & OVERPRICED...The owner indicated that he would fit me in the next morning to evaluate my A/C problem... He kept my car for 2 days then told me it would cost over $1400 to fix... obviously if it took 2 days to figure out the problem, he was NOT the right person for the job!! As a final jab, he charged me $177 just to evaluate... MY ADVICE - STAY AWAY!!!
Took my car for him to look at and the owner quoted me a price and I agreed to let him fix it. I asked the owner to call if it needed more then just a seal replaced which is what he quoted me to fix. When the owner called and said it was done the price was more then 4x times greater then the quoted price because he completely rebuilt my transmission without checking with me first. When trying to resolve the situation he was very rude and condescending. I wouldnt recommend having your vehicle fixed here.
Went in for an air conditioner repair, or mostly replace. Still works great great. I will be back for regular vehicle services too now. No longer the dealership.
These folks have done a good deal of work for us on several different cars in recent months. They did a good job, were on-time with the work, especially when we needed the cars back as soon as possible, and were friendly and kept us informed along the way.
Got my car tuned up and oil change in record time and good price. Will go back.
I took my car in to find out it had a blown head gasket. The owner quoted me a price to replace BOTH HEAD GASKETS because in his words, It would be stupid not to do both of them while Im in there. He only replaced one, and told me afterwards that there was no reason to replace the other, it looked fine... even though that was included in the price I paid, and he said it would be stupid not to do... Ok, so I payed for a service I did not get, and now I have one new and one old head gasket. (95% of the cost is tearing down the engine to get to the head gaskets, so now when the other one blows I will be out another $1000+ to replace it). The work also took two weeks longer than quoted. Now that I have my vehicle back it smells of gasoline so bad that I am getting headaches, and upon taking it back he said thats what happens when the car is in a shop for 4 weeks with the windows down. So basically, if you want half the work done at full price, taking twice as long as expected, and scenting your car with gasoline, then this is your place! I personally will never go back.
I wrote a bad review based on hearsay. Phil, my apologies. It was great to meet and talk with you.
Horrible, dont go there ! I went in to have some work done and when I went in to pick my car up the bill more than doubled. That is after the job was not done right and took a day and a half to do a two-hour job. They tried to stiff me with a bill that included $57.00 labor to replace a tail light bulb that would take 2 minutes to replace. I took my car and told them I would not pay their crazy ass amount so they called the police to try and have me arrested lol. They had the nerve to call me a thief when they were the ones trying to rob a customer. I finally settled and probably should not have since the work was not done right. The owner is a crook .I wish I had read the reviews before I went there . Absolute crooks . They dont care that the work was subpar at best just pay me the money and get out. Surprised they are still in business the way they treat people. Jim the owner was all cool and calm when quoting the job, and I guess thats because he knew he would just try and rape me later. Who pays $57.00 labor to replace a tail light bulb really JIM really .
They put a transmission in my car 8 months ago they told me I needed a bunch of work done that totaled $3200. They told me they could save me about $1000 If I put a used 60,000 mile transmission in it that had a 1 year warrantee. It went out 2 months ago. I had it towed back they said they fixed it. I drove it for 2 days and it the Trans stopped working. I had it towed back in they kept it for a week and a half. They called me and said it was fixed. I drove it for 2 days and it stopped working again. I had it towed back. They said it needed to have the new transmission fluid that was only 6 months old flushed and charged me $200. I drove it for3 days and it broke down again. They told me the Trans problem was a figment of my imagination and said I needed to change the plugs and have the fuel injection system flushed. I put the car in gear and it won’t move forward or reverse. I’m not a mechanic but that’s not a spark plug issue. I told them just fix the transmission so I can take it home. They have had the car for a total of 2 months. Everyday it’s a new excuse, they keep telling me tomorrow. At this point I’m not sure what to do other than let everybody know what they are doing to me. The latest excuse is that the people they buy transmissions from have sent the 3 bad transmissions. If the last 4 transmissions they bought to put in my car have been bad what in the world makes me think the next one they put in will be good. Stay away from this business!!!10-17-16Update I called Friday and told Phil I was going to send a wrecker to pick up my car at noon. if it wasnt fixed just put the parts in the trunk. One of his guys called me at 11:00 and said the car would be ready at noon. He said the only this they had left was to fix the speedometer (which was working when I took it to them 2 1/2 months ago) and put an O2 sensor in It. I told them I would be there at noon to pick it up.When I got there at 11:55 his guy said Phil went to lunch come back in an hour. I told him to just give me my car and I would leave. He called Phil and told me Phil still had to do the paper work. Phil knew I was coming at Noon and he left anyway.I had to wait 30 minutes for Phil to get back. When he came back he made me wait another 30 while he filled out his paper work. he put on the paper work that the speedometer wasnt working when I brought it in. he said the tag was out of date. The tag went out of date during the 2 1/2 months he had it.When I got in my car the speedometer did not work. The check engine light was on and the alternator was not charging. I had to take it to another shop to have all that fixed. I am disgusted with Jims Transmission to have all that fixed. I will update when I get the bill for all that. RUN AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!!I WOULD DO A LITTLE BACK GROUND CHECK ON ALL THESE 5 STAR CUSTOMERS. I WOULDNT BE SUPRISED AT ANYTHING THIS GUY DOES.I was a regular customer of the real Jim of Jims Transmission not this #$@%
Very friendly guys, and very diligent mechanics.
