All done with this place. Ill deal with the mediocre cuts but the attitude? No. My family and I have been buying products and getting our haircut here for years. Sometimes you get lucky and someone knows what theyre doing, other times, not so much. Meh, its Fantastic Sams, so we roll with it. The attitude though... forget it. Im not paying you to be rude and mouthy, Im paying you to cut our hair. Now Ill pay someone else to cut it. Instead of giving the place a face lift, the owner should of spent the money on manners training and customer service.

Wasted an hour of my time waiting for a simple eyebrow wax. They told me it would be a 30-45 min wait. I walked out after an hour. I have a life to live. I could have gone home and got stuff done and gone back if I had known it would have been an hour+. Even the stylist said they had 2 hour waits all day. This place has gone down hill. Id go to great clips instead if they did waxing.

Taylor was great! I had a fantastic time, she was so friendly and fun! Taylor’s colleague jumped in to help as well (don’t recall her name). I had a balayage and cut done on my hair. The experience made me feel like I was hanging out with some of my best friends! 100% will come back here.

Came in for a clean up, but got most my hair cut very short.

I called a week ago to find out how long their liter sale for the shampoo and conditioner was going. I was told it was July 15-September 15. I went in today to get my kids hair cuts and pick up some shampoo and conditioner. When I asked about the liter sale I was told it ended on August 15th. I told them I called and was told September 15 and their website says the sale is through September 15th. They wouldn’t honor the sale. My kids hair cuts were great and the staff was wonderful but I am very disappointed that I called and their website says they are having a sale and they won’t honor it. I called another location and they told me they would honor it since I was given the incorrect information from the Monticello location.

They only do walk ins, got there 8 mins after opening and told an hour wait for cut and color. Went for coffee and went to back to wait. People came in after us without appt and got in before us who had an appt. Waited over hour and still didnt get in. Left in huff after making a scene about waiting over an hour. Lost over a $100 sale which they didnt seem to care. Realize they are busy, but have been a long time customers. Will not go there again. Wish there was an option to give it zero star rating. Customer service was horrible. Not going that FS again.

Longtime customer ever since they came to Monticello. Had great experiences when my usual gal (Kim) was available to cut my hair. Went in last week for the first time in almost a year, since covid-19. My usual gal was not there, but I needed a professional cut cause my wife has been attempting to do my cuts since covid. First, the girl that cut my hair only used one hand most the time. Not sure if it was out of laziness or due to her very large stature. The cut was very choppy and uneven and oddly curved around my ears. She also did not clean up around my lower neck. She also did not give me the option for a wash afterward. Not sure why but she charged me $22.xx for a 10 minute horrible cut, when the board at the counter showed it should have been $16 or $17.99 for a mens haircut and wash.I did not realize the price until my wife and I went over our bank statements. I paid $26.xx for the cut because I gave 15% tip. I was in a rush at the time and just pushed the 15% tip option button and I wasnt paying attention, otherwise I would have brought this to the attention of a supervisor.

The wait time was no longer than 15 mins.My 5 yr old daughter was so happy with her haircut, and the stylist made her feel comfortable being friendly and chatty. But I can not say the same thing with me, I ask for a special haircut, even show the stylist pictures, (was a different stylist) and she said she can do it, and that she made some like that before... first time trying something different and now Im ashamed of my hair, is horrible and short.

KAS is the best for mens cuts!

Both my sons got cuts this day. All the workers were very nice and did a great job. Was not happy with my youngest sons cut, I told him to get what he wanted and the stylist came to ask if this is what I wanted before I said anything lol. She fixed it. Great experience all around. Will be back. A little over priced but worth it. My oldest son was impressed,1st time he had his hair washed with a cut

Very patient and very thorough with what they do

I’ve been going to Fantastic Sam’s for about four years now. They take great care of my hair and I’m always happy with my cut. They do not take appointments, only walk-ins, so I usually call ahead of time to see if there is a wait. I don’t think I have ever waited more than fifteen minutes for a stylist to become available. They are a family- friendly shop and will take care of kids to grandparents and everyone in between. Their shop is clean and inviting, the chatter is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

I came in for a hair cut and eyebrow wax, my stylist Rachel, did an amazing job, she really worked with me and explained what would be best for my hair type and how I style it! She was spot on! I absolutely Love it! She took the time to talk to me and explain how I should be using certain products. It has made such a difference! She was very friendly. And I also got the best eyebrow wax Ive ever had! Best experience I have had at a chain salon!

I will no longer go to higher end salons. I have been paying far too much for styles that end up so-so. Both times I have been here for coloring, I have had wonderful experiences. The stylists here have been kind, upbeat, and above all- genuinely care! They have positive attitudes and are knowledgeable about the services they provide. I have been so impressed with the service here!

Bummer, i walked in and spelled my name about 8 times for the person at the counter as she was having trouble spelling Robert. What I thought would be smart to go in the middle of the day hoping it would be quick, not at all actually didnt even get a cut it appears that I was not a priority as I sat for 15 minutes with zero ackologment, oh well Ill go elsewhere I guess

Took my boy for a haircut here, they ask you how do you want it done, what tools to use, how many inches etc etc.. I say I want a traditional boy’s haircut, nothing out of this world, no rocket science. And then she proceeds to shave my son’s entire head without mercy, giving me an almost bald boy back. He looks at himself in the mirror and say, hey! that doesn’t look like me, he is only 6 years old but he can tell by the looks that it does NOT look well.. so, of course I went to her and say .. that is waaaaaay too short.. and she responds, well that is what you said I should do, if it was for me I would have use some scissors for a better finished haircut..oh really?.. NOW you tell me what you would have done? ..I decided to not create a big stir since the damage was done and there is no way I can glue back his hair.. but If I was the hairdresser I would have made the professional suggestions BEFORE I chop all the hair off.. it is always better to cut some more than put back the hair that is already on the floor.So next time you go for a haircut at this place and they give you a long questionnaire about what and how, then make sure you bring a manual for cutting the hair or maybe a video tutorial and you let them know what exactly you want to be done, cause sometimes they really don’t have a clue.

I’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed for about 15 years now. I’ve tried many different places & many different people & no one could ever get them exactly how I wanted them .. until Hannah at this Monticello location! If you’re looking for someone who can not only wax but knows how to shape your brows as well, ask for Hannah! She is by far the best & will be the only person I will ever see from here on out!! Called to make sure they could take my braids out was told “yes just come on in”!I drove 20 mins there and when I got there the stylist I talked to on the phone went and got someone else to tell me they wouldn’t take them out. All I got was a “yeah sorry”. Didn’t even have the decency to put down the shampoo bottles to talk to me.

Once again Daz did a fantastic color and hairstyle. Hands down she is the best. Thank you!!!

Didn’t wash my hair before cutting, hair was completely dry. Cut is so choppy & disproportionate.. my bangs are destroyed & my hair is 2 inches on longer on the left side than the right side .... I am so distraught, this is a nightmare, I hate it. My husband never noticed anything & he noticed right away 😭😭😢🤬🤯

I had went in for a haircut that changed me. I donated my hair and went to a pixie cut. We didnt want to go to short and the lady (Kas) said I have 7 days and I can come in if it doesnt feel right and they would trim it. I we t in a few days later and got it trimmed. I had an amazing experience at both appointments and even got my eyebrows done the second time. Definitely a great place!

I have been to other locations and I had great experiences. Going to this one was a waste of time. I walked in and got a nasty look from the employee at the counter, no greeting, just rudely wanted to know what I wanted. I politely asked for a haircut prompting her to look at the people waiting, then her screen and said itd be about 45min then glanced at the clock to remind me theyd be closing around then. I left and went to Great Clips in Big Lake and had a much better experience!

I always get my hair cut here, they never mess it up, and if they were to, they would make your hair look great! The stylists have their licence stuck to their mirror so you know they are good! I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Very busy and often booked. Make sure that you have an appointment with a stylist or it can be difficult to get in, and impossible to get more than just a basic haircuts. There must be a reason that they are booked and busy, which indicates that there is a likelihood that they do good job.

My daughter paid $109 for purple/pink hair. Her hair 9. DAYS later was lite purple, missing spots on her hair..When we went in on the 9th day. DEZ and VIKI were rude and unprofessional. Passing a note about us.**KATHLYN WAS VERY NICE
