I don’t understand how I turn in all my paperwork in the box and they lose it every time. I turned in my 6 month report in July and they lost it and did not tell me. The only reason I found out was because my food stamps did not hit the card on the date. So I turned in an application 3 times and I still did not her from them. I was told that they did not receive anything. Then I was told that they denied my applications because they needed my 6 month report which I turned in on time so here comes September no food barely getting by they tell me my case is closed so I have to do the entire process over again. So I went down there again and they received the application and I had my interview and they sent me out the paper work to give to my previous employer. I turned it in and I am still waiting on my food stamps and I wish I could just go work there to understand why everything takes so long. This is the worst and the slowest state I have ever had to get things done in and it makes no sense especially when you have kids who are hungry as well.

Terrible customer service. The number is nothing but an automated voice recording. It doesn’t matter which option you select, the number takes you to the same hotline. The estimated wait time was over 60 minutes. I stayed on the phone for 2 hours (120 minutes) and no one ever answered. I’ve been approved for food assistance for over a month now and haven’t been able to reach anybody regarding the status of my case or food stamps card. I’m highly disappointed.

I appreciate the hard work that the ladies at the one to do to help people who are in need. I have witnessed people cursing them talkin out rated to them and sometime being very distant light even in the waiting room area. I wish that they could get the respect that they deserve and people could understand that they would know that their process would go much quicker. Thank you to the people who work there but keeping your composure even when you dealing with a lot of fools!

Always a long line and never enough workers. The workers never want to do their job effectively or professionally. Id reccomend retraining for the workers and more supervisor accountability for their employees mishaps cause it reflects bad on the state.

I wish I could give them a -5 star rating. This has to be the worst place ever. Hold time is always longer than 60 minutes. They are so slow at getting the job done. They always claim they have not received the paperwork work. They are very rude at the window. Just freakin horrible

Always packed, no drop off window. I was late for work when I went on my lunch break to just turn in paperwork. Only one person was at the window. Dare not call. You wont get an answer.

God forbid you ACTUALLY NEED help with getting food.....You will be constantly checking the mail for your card youve been approved for for going on a month, to find nothing...Dont even attempt to call. that 60+ minute wait time EASILY exceeds that by a couple hours and you still will never be put thru to anyone. Its a very shoddy process, especially for people that work FULL TIME JOBS and STILL genuinely need help putting food on the table. Praying that this office in specific makes a turn around, especially to those of us that truly NEED the help. **UPDATE**Apparently the reason why I never got my card is because they sent it to a case that was opened in 2016...a case i closed.....But SOMEHOW they managed to send the benefits to that specific card and that case. Had the audacity to ask me if i knew where the card was..........Well to be quite frank with you, its more than likely floating in an ocean somewhere BC IT WAS THROWN AWAY. So for 3 years with no open case, thats where it was sent.I wish anyone that has to go thru this process better luck than i have had with these people.

Ive been calling and calling and calling and get nothing Im pregnant.. was supposed to receive my benefits today. Allday Ive done nothing but call and email them and Im getting absolutely no replies at all Im so upset right now its unreal. And I have noride to the office

Some of the staff here are professional and courteous but most are blatantly rude, unprofessional, and show no discretion or respect. The office are constantly changing their hours, days, etc regarding their services. They make it more about themselves than making it convenient for their clients. The waiting areas look dusty, unkept, and unappealing. The office doesnt truly provide assistance or answers for you, whether it be assistance with food, child support, TANF, etc. You are given the run around. Examples of this is on Tuesdays from 8am to 11am and on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm you are only allowed to walk in for child support services. They do not have the money or man power to provide the desperately needed services to the people of Montgomery. The city, county, state officials need to do better by the people here. This is suppose to be a place of assistance and assurance and its nothing but a place of turmoil, disrespect, and disheartening actions. Not all the clients are nice and cordial but that doesnt mean that we all should be treated the same way, treat everyone accordingly.

Being 60 years old and living in Tallapoosa county, my case was transferred to Montgomery due to my age. This office is of no help at all, waiting over an hour on the phone, the guy would not give me his name or my caseworkers name. SO DISCUSTED!!

Took over an hour to get someone on the phone. When someone finally answered she had an attitude and told me their systems were down and to call back tomorrow. I didnt even get an apology. Long wait time, rude represenative, issue not resolved. Someone please do something about this.

They need to answer their phones. Very mad. And then they finally answer the phone and it sounded like it was on speaker it was quiet and a rude lady kept saying hello repeatedly and I said hey and started to talk and she hung up.
