This is the worst place to try and deal with. First of all, the woman who always seems to answer the phone (swearing there is never anyone else to speak to) is beyond rude. She is huffy and puffy like a child any time you ask a question, she is snotty, and refuses to help with even the most basic information. These are the people who are handling peoples child support? This absolutely horrendously run department, is who puts through payments!? People wonder why checks are late, and couples cant get things done easily... look to the handlers of the money, and youll find the problem.

Alabama need to FIRE everyone and start over ! Rude, don’t care, unprofessional and just sad! People are stealing money from the State!

Offered no assistance for a father with child and DEADBEAT mother

Very unhelpful. I contacted the office and spoke to Janis Davis. I informed her that I was looking for general information regarding how to start the application process when the father of the child is a US citizen and lives in AL and the child is living in a different country. Father is the biological father (established).The state web site said to call the office to get the list of countries that the state had agreements with. I was trying to help a friend by obtaining general information.Janis Davis refused to help and used the excuse that she cannot discuss any cases with 3rd parties. The information I was seeking is not linked to any case, no names or personal information is requested. The information is general public information, yet she refused to provide any assistance.These government employees should be held accountable and should be required to perform their jobs in manner that is acceptable, including answering general questions that are not related to any specific case.Time to call the commissioner!

I was hung up on 4 times because I wanted the name of who I was speaking to after questioning, how can you charge interest on a person? Name of hooked on ebonics with, I totally answer the phone allday so you havent been calling for 3 months. Was none other than I quote you, claire cough cough smith, thats the same as John or Jane cough cough doe!!!!!

They intercepted a payment, but the representative told me she couldnt discuss a time frame. My kids cant even start camp because of a time frame, and they never help you with collection. I had to do everything on my own. The system sucks eggs!

Unprofessional Workers.... I have left so many messages for call back and help concerning my case. Still nothing.... Quick to take your money... But you have to go to court for them to return it, even if its error on there part.
