I really would like to give a more positive review, but unfortunately I can’t—I never leave google reviews, but I feel compelled to leave one here in hopes that it might change things.I never had a problem with my doctor—thanks to her, my quality of life has improved so much and for that I am so grateful! However, the office staff is offensively bad.Not once was I ever contacted after an appointment to schedule a follow-up (which is required for refills) like I was told I would be, so it fell entirely on me to make sure I was going to get my prescription each time. And believe me, that was no easy task.At least three times I had to go without my prescription for multiple days at a time (which is dangerous!) because of how inattentive and uncaring the staff is.Calling the office was dreadful, because each time I was spoken to so rudely that it felt like a slap in the face.Tl;dr the doctors are fine, but the hoops you have to jump through with the office admin makes the whole experience troublesome and not worth it at all. Honestly best to choose elsewhere if you can.

I would like to give a higher review but I cant. Jacob Scott is great. He helped me a great deal with somethings that really needed attention. However, the office staff and their attention to detail is lacking. I received a certified letter from them last week that I had basically been fired as a patient because I was a no show for two appointments and I was not. All my appointments were by telephone/video because of covid. The first no show, I had called in, signed in and waited in the waiting room for 40 minutes and no one came on. The second, I might be able to better understand. I had an appointment on a Monday morning. On Sunday, I had an emergency come up and I knew that I was not going to be able to make it. I called into the office on Sunday and the recording said the best way to let someone know I could not come was on their website. I logged into the website and left a message that I would not be able to make it. The message is still there. I dont know if it was ever read because the next contact I had was me being fired. I hardly ever was able to reach the office for any reason. I left a message online once before and when I talked to the office about it, I was told they hardly ever check that. Again, Jacob was great. Im just really disappointed in how this ended. Its not like they were styling my hair. You go to them for mental health issues. I just think they are careless with their patients.

I went to see Dr. Bodiford for help with my ADHD and instead I was told Im too smart to have ADHD via an IQ test, and I must only have dyscalculia instead. After going to another psychiatrist for a second opinion, I was told I absolutely have ADHD and that IQ tests are not at all a way to determine if a patient has ADHD. I went three years before seeking this second opinion, and in those three years I have struggled with my ADHD more than ever. I am so thankful for the ADHD Clinic in Hoover because Alabama Psychiatry failed me.

Jacob Scott was very kind to me at a time when I needed help. Covid caused a change in how they delivered care, but it was seemless. Leigh Ann has been so helpful. It is a humbling experience to need help...but they never look down on you and truly care about their patients.

I have used this practice for awhile and absolutely love my doctor, she is fantastic! The staff has had some turn overs and sometimes it is a pain to get refills but the quality of patient care is what is important and I am completely satisfied.

This place is wonderful. They are very professional and friendly. I had addiction issues. Dr.Ram was very nice and non judgmental. He was very understanding about my addiction and worked with me. I can proudly say that I am sober for 3 years and I am a totally different person. Me and my family will always be very thankful to Dr.Ram and River Region Psychiatry.Thank you Dr.Ram......

They came highly recommended by a good friend, but I can’t speak to their services or staff because they quite literally never answer their phones or return your messages. Don’t waste your time here.

I used to *love* this office. Dont get me wrong, I still love the staff - however - they arent as easy to communicate with as they once were. Im happy for them - the business is growing (I can personally say I have recommended them on several occasions - this is my sons doctors office).BUT - with that growth comes the demand for more space and more staff needed. Parking is difficult. Sometimes you wait past your scheduled appointment time (it isnt a bother to me, but some people arent patient, either). My suggestions for improvement are:1. Hire more good hands: You have a great staff, but I am convinced you need at least one or two more clerical staff members.2. Find a larger location to accomodate parking, and give waiting patients more elbow room. These are two things that do not help panic and anxiety disorder! :)3. Ditch the automated phone system. No one likes those things.4. If you are constantly running short on time, why not open your practice for longer hours (ex. Fridays - full time). These are my only complaints - which are really trivial, but with the growth of the practice, this has changed my rating of excellent to very good. The doctors as well as the therapists are WONDERFUL when it comes to listening to issues and brainstorming with you to come up with the best solution possible. I absolutely love these guys.

My experience there was not good. The woman upfront has an attitude, if you need a medication refill the nurse will tell you the doctor is out of the office for a week, they will bill you for a charge your not responsible for, and once you see the doctor he doesnt communicate. He was actually yawning while I was talking and showed no interest in what I had to say. He would give me more medication than needed so I wouldnt have to come back so I just stopped going. Although I had insurance and didnt do anything to anyone I guess I wasnt interesting enough to receive treatment.

I had to edit my review because after dealing with them for a few years, this is what my experience is.(This review is for the main office on Sydney Curve.) They dont let you know when your doctor/therapist leaves your insurance network causing you to rack up a large bill. Theyve forgotten me more than once, letting others go back to see the doctor before I do. Back before the old office manager left, I asked them for over a year whats going on with my daughters copays. I couldnt get a straight answer. Their billing department has been a hot mess. Saying one thing, doing another. They let a large bill rack up and now she cant see the doctor for her meds. The doctors/therapists are great but billing and the receptionists (except Quintella) are a disgrace to anyone in customer service. Ill be so glad when theyre paid off. I dont recommend them to anyone. Youve been warned...

This place never answers their phones, doesnt call when they cancel or reschedule your appointments, doesnt fill prescriptions on time and over bills all their clients. To say that their office manager is incompetent is to say the least. And lol at all the employees leaving positive reviews on google. Its a shame when your staff has to boost your review levels

The front desk is strangely unwelcoming. We attempted to receive care from our therapist when they relocated to this office. The atmosphere is toxic and our sessions were unproductive. I’ve never experienced anything like it in a therapy setting.
