The staff introduced us to Montgomery with amazing hospitality! We had a family reunion of sorts and Misty (best front desk ever) was extremely helpful. She welcomed us with her big smile, and made sure we had what we needed. We enjoyed her so much! The two bedroom had everything we needed, slept well but maybe could use some updates. Everyone working was great, and made our long weekend a wonderful memory. Thank You So Much!

We were looking for dog friendly places for large dogs, and stumbled upon Sonesta. Im so glad we did! They are full apartment-like suites, equipped with a kitchen (with appliances), and had very comfy beds! Great for family travel. Staff was super friendly. Overall, I will definitely be back. Definitely recommend.

This place is great. Comfy bed, clean, friendly staff. Booked through hotel.com. they didnt have a king with hide a bed so they gave us a two bedroom suite, at no extra charge. I think youll like it.

Called the actual hotel to book reservation. Drove 11 hrs just to find out that because my card declined the 10 times they tried (my bank declined due to fraud, which was confirmed with the bank) they canceled my reservation and DID NOT CALL ME and then allowed someone else to book that room and had no availability. I am now sleeping in my car with my dog. These people are AWFUL. BEWARE!!!

I enjoyed the large open room and the bed was comfy, however, I docked a star because one of the chairs for the kitchen counter was covered in what at first looked like blood, but upon further inspection it looked more like some kind of sauce. Regardless, it grossed us out and we put the chair outside. Other than that hiccup, the stay was perfectly fine.

I dont know how this place got good reviews. Our check-in was 3pm. We arrived after 5pm and had to wait outside the room for 10 minutes while the maid finished. There was an ashtray on the stairs 5 ft from our door, and the area--as well as the room itself--smelled like cigarette smoke. Immediately, I could tell the carpet hadnt been vacuumed and the floors hadnt been mopped. The dishwasher was running. The bloody fingerprint on the door was the final straw. Front desk said maids had already left. They gave a simple apology and a refund.

Horrible experience! They will authorize your card of $100 every 2 days as long as they have your card on file. Even if you have checked out like me right now. I went there for a traveling assignment and they were taking so much money from me even though I was paid forward. First week I was there they took $850 from my account. The $345 I had paid for the week and authorized me $497 dollars the very next day, I was sick. I asked the General manager Richard can he released the authorization because I’m in the negative, he’s response was, “sorry there’s nothing we can do about it once it’s authorized only your bank can give it to you not him the merchant that authorized my card. My bank told me that it not true they are the merchant they should be able to release it since they authorized you not charge you. Overall horrible experience and I’m still dealing with them even though I’m out of the state and back home. I checked out Sunday and have been charged of $100 2x since I’ve left. It brought me to the point where I had to dispute the charges and file for a new card to stop them from charging my card even though I’m not there. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here.

This is a nice place to stay. It looks like a renovated apartment complex. There is always a minor issue when I stay but it always gets resolved.

We stayed one night at Sonesta. Each room has a full kitchen. We had a king bed with a pull out couch. The mattress in the couch tilted/sloped into the couch. Kids didnt mind. The pillows on our bed were phenomenal. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The AGM made sure we had our breakfast box the night before so we didnt have to get up early. The breakfast box is bc of Covid. It has a yogurt, piece of fruit, sausage biscuit. 🤷‍♀️ We wish we would have realized how basic the breakfast was going to be before we paid.The property is nice and quiet. Checkout isnt until 12. The staff are friendly. We would stay here again.

This hotel was exceptional. The hotel grounds were well maintained and clean. The room was very clean, organized and looked inviting and amazing. The staff was friendly, straightforward, professional, with lots of smiles. This place is an oasis in a forgettable area of town. The price is a bit steep, but well worth the ability to escape. I will recommend this Little Oasis of a hotel to as many people as I can. If you read this and need a get away check out Sonesta ES Suites. You will love staying here.

Very clean. More than we expected with the full kitchen, king bed and sofa bed. Will stay again for sure. Breakfast is a joke and only from 6-8am. Not worth getting up for.

Disappointed to wake up in the middle of the night, turn on the lights and find tiny roaches running around on the counter!!! Beyond disgusted!!!! Definitely checking out earlier than planned. Between this and the loud noises after 4am, I was over it! I want my card refunded and I will be contacting the Department of public health first chance!!!

This is a great place to stay. The prices are reasonable and the upkeep of the property is great. The suite is very spacious. The only thing I didnt like is that they take a $250 security deposit.

At first this place was a dream, after an extended stay and staying for months the people here became a nightmare! They will charge thousands of dollars at a time for “preauthorizations” and won’t tell you! Never ever paid late and always had the money withdrawn out of account but they will still charge you crazy “pre” charges. After a formal complaint they locked me out of my room and began to harass me! Something has to be done about this company! The people are rude and give no explanation on why they continue to charge me $900 extra after I paid my rent 2 weeks upfront Friday. They began to bully me and locked my card because they tried so many time to run a “preauthorization” on my account when I didn’t owe anything. Corporate has to do better. Most people that stay here are from out of town and on travel assignments and also long term stay! They have charged a couple of people I work with in assignments the same and no explanation to why they do it. Don’t stay here for long term!

Very nice hotel. It is an independent group hotel which was started recently and having almost around 160 branches around. The hotel was decent and it gives you a home feeling with a nice kitchen and 2bhk with individual restrooms and television for each of the rooms. They had offered a complimentary breakfast too. Just a fabulous place in capital city Montgomery ❤️❤️

This place had some good reviews so we decided to try it. While it was nice to have 2 bedrooms, the overall cleanliness of this place was severely lacking. Would not go back or recommend it.

Positive: The location was great the Room and most of the staff. head maintenance supervisor was so kind and courteous at all times. Ladies @ the front desk were also professional and helpful. This was a wonderful vacay and look forward to our next visit. Negative: Tissue paper was promised to be left for us in the room. When we came back to the room there was no tissue so we called the front desk and requested some tissue and a male rudely stated well if you want some tissue you need to come get it.

Can I rate it 7 out of 5 stars?Ill start with the negative. Sometimes the spot cleaning isnt great.Now positive... There are so many! Food three nights a week, breakfast every day, and amazing front office/kitchen staff! They were incredibly personable. Ms. Susan and several other staff members brought fruit out from the back and peeled it for my daughter on several occasions without being asked. They had special treats for my daughter and treated us like family. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Enjoyed our 7 week stay! We wont hesitate to stay at Sonesta again next time were in Montgomery.

Its a good place

Very nice spacious rooms. Full kitchen with cookware and dishes was a very nice bonus. If the pool was open and the breakfast itd be 5 stars from me all day.

No toilet paper. No soap. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Maybe it had been run because the dishes were wet, just still dirty. Holes in the ceiling around the fire suppression sprinklers. The internet was terrible. Cutting out every 5-15 minutes. They offer a free premium service that upgrades the internet. But dont use it if youre going to stay longer than 10 days. Because it wont let you login again on your laptop. Better to stick with the tragically slow base internet. It still cuts out as well, but at least you can use it. There are these really cool pumps in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It would have been even more cool, if there had been any products in it. The AC worked fantastic, and the hot water never seemed to run out. The bed looked and felt clean and soft. The employees were very kind and friendly. 10/10 for the employees at the physical hotel. The call center that you must use on the other hand? Oh boy. My experience was effortless and quick since I was using a booking site (this was before I found out they offered a discount for military assisting the ADPH). My fellow soldier however had to use the phone several times and each time it was either completely impossible to understand the person on the other end or they were wildly hostile and rude for no reason. All in all I could not recommend this hotel for an extended stay. A single night or weekend perhaps(bring toilet paper).

Very clean and confortable...

The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had some questions about what food options were available locally. The place also has good breakfast options and complimentary food for dinner on certain days.My room was surprisingly large and well-equipped with everything I needed and even things I didnt need. I wasnt expecting a while kitchen, stove, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and all that!I really enjoyed my stay and would look for other Sonesta ES Suites again in the future.

These suites were awesome. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was brand new. They have recently renovated the entire hotel. I was kind of worried before because of the older reviews. Since then, it has been totally changed. So give them a shot. The only negative I have is that the gym wasn’t up to par yet. Once they get this together it will be worth the stay. The lobby was still under renovation as well.

This place was nothing short of awesome. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom sweet, it was kind of like being home. My husband and I were able to cook a meal instead of eat out. We will stay here again for sure.

Arrived at the hotel for a 2 night stay. The desk staff were friendly, professional and informative. The lady behind the desk gave advice on where to visit and have directions. My wife, daughter and I found the room In a spotless condition with all necessary kitchen equipment to cook a meal and make coffee etc. The room had a king bed, large tv and plenty of bathroom products.That evening the hotel provided chili and cornbread in the dining area, we stopped by to try it out and were really impressed. Once again the staff, Ms. Terri, were really friendly and took the time to play with our 1 year old daughter.Breakfast on both morning was great, including scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereals, bagels, pastries etc. There was also Japanese alternatives.General logistics: parking is easy, free and right outside your room. The pool and sports courts are impeccably maintained and the bbq area is very homely.All round fantastic stay, would definitely use this chain again.

It was a good hotel for the price. Only bad thing is, we stayed here for 6 weeks and were told they change the sheets every week. We would leave notes to asked for new bedding every weekend and as for the last two weeks, they did not change them.

Nice staff. Good free hot breakfast. Internet was fine. No shampoo or conditioner in the built in containers when I went. Pool music was loud and could be heard in the room until around 1045pm when I called the front desk about it. Easy parking. Spacious rooms. Seemed clean. Id stay here again.

This experience was absolutely awful for me and my family. Terrible dirty rooms; wet carpets throughout entire unit. Bathroom two we found body hair in shower, used toilet, clogged toilet. Bedroom one vomit on the wall next to closet, vomit on one night stand, vomit on the floor/wall/curtain base, bed not made have no sheets or blankets on the bed. Had to check out of the hotel on the following day and find new hotel. Food in the cabinet and dirty oven with food stuck on the racks etc....Front desk was polite but unable to meet our needs with a new room or send cleaning crew. Had to sleep in the filthy rooms and find a new hotel in the morning! Very stressful experience. Had to juggle all of this while attending multiple events with many family members. Extremely difficult situation and have received NO Contact from management or customer care. I really hope they disinfected this room and waited for things to dry before renting it again. Shockingly bad experience that ruined our first two days.

Hurricane Michael was on his way and we needed a place to stay that was pet friendly. Found this place searching Trivago and decided to book a room. Booked a two room suite so that my 87 year old mom could have her space. Check in time was 3PM, but as soon as a room was ready they graciously let us check in. WOW...what a wonderful place! Extremely clean rooms, living room, kitchen (full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove, garbage disposal, full size fridge) and bathrooms. Plus..they serve a free breakfast! Just your standard breakfast but good none the less. We were very impressed by this place and the staff was so friendly and accommodating! If I have to come back this way again, I will come back here! Thank you Sonesta!

Didn’t know they rent the rooms out for “parties” !🤬🤬🤬 I stay here a lot and usually don’t have any issues, but there were several parties here last night, with young adults playing loud music and standing outside of their rooms. No SECURITY here, just the maintenance man who was not able to handle the issues! I’m not returning! I will be contacting Corporate! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I have found where to stay every time I stay in Montgomery AL!! Between University of Alabama football games and Talladega races, I stay 6-7 times a year in Montgomery. This time I decided to spend a little bit more for a room. I sure made the right decision with Sonesta ES Suites! From the moment we walked in the door, a smiling face was there to make us feel welcomed. What a fun and personable attitude! When we opened the door to our room, we were so impressed. Clean, inviting, and spacious. I cant keep going on and on. Let me just say 5 stars, 5 stars, 5 stars.

Most staff were great except for a couple; the kitchen lady who didnt want us to get too much food because she was running low and one man at the front desk with orange hair who just didnt seem to like his job nor was very friendly like the others. They had an afternoon with water issues for the rooms and we werent informed prior that our suite didnt have a working dish washer. Carpeting is stained. Body hair left behind too.

I enjoy staying here at the Resident Inn it feels like my home. This is the best hotel Ive live in since I been in Alabama. I work in Selma and had a bad experience at a hotel there. So, I am driving 1 hour every day back and forward because of My room and friendly staff. It is worth the drive!!!

I was a little unsure when first arriving on the property as it was obviously an older complex. Once I walked in for check-in my assumptions were wrong. Very nice lobby with great staff. The rooms were very nice and in great repair. The cleaning staff was very friendly and did a great job. This was an unexpected gem especially for the price.

Sonesta Suites is definitely a great place to stay rather its for a short visit or a long term stay. The environment was calm, the place was gorgeous and the food was pretty good. The best part was the shower! I love that it had a fireplace and was set up like an apartment. Great job!

I had a wonderful experience with my family. Every staff member we encountered was very nice and professional. We were able to enjoy complimentary drinks and chicken soft tacos. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our only down side was how early the pool closed. We were visiting relatives from out of town and could not get together until 8:30pm. Pool closed 30 minutes later. Aside from that, excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Spent 2 months there. Nice kitchens in units, with common grill. Grill tools available at front desk. Good size breakfast.. always scrambled eggs, and a variety of meats to include turkey and chicken sausage. Korean breakfast as an option. Fresh cut fruit rotated daily (pineapple, honeydew, etc.)

Hands down best hotel experience in this area. The rooms are excellent, felt very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning, and the evening socials were nice!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called the 1800 number for reservations and received a very rude, condescending young lady on the other end of the phone. She had an attitude in her voice and acted as of my call was the worst inconvenience of her life. I asked 2 simple questions, one concerning the price and one about having rooms next to one another. Her answers were awful. Yah that happens was her response to my inquiry about about $25 per night rate increase in less that 24 hrs ( I was just asking If the rates are higher on certain days like airline tickets) and her response to my question concerning the rooms being next to each other was along the lines of Well since you called me at reservations all I can do it but a note. You need to call the hotel directly. I left a review to the general manager detailing this and suggesting customer service training to which I received no response. I have no faith this company cares about customer service at all, I did not book with them and will never book with this company. Please get some training to your staff.

Place is clean . I like the kitchen that fits the rooms . Pool and tennis court is nice as well. Just had a small birthday party with some friends there . So it was enjoyable.

Loved the split suites and having 2 private bathrooms! The staff at breakfast were very nice and breakfast was hot and fresh. Too bad we only needed to stay 1 night.

The house keepers are thieves. Do not leave your personal belongs in the room. Lock it in your car. They stole my grandma wedding ban and my Birthday heart ring. I called one lady said she would go check, she hung up on me. I called back she said she didnt see anything and no one turned in rings. Lets be real do honestly think they would turn in jewelry. I was praying that they would at least of the decency to turn in my grandma wedding ban. The hotel was great other than people cleaning your room looking for new things to take home.

Incredibly friendly staff. Given directions to local food with a rundown of local hot spots. Super clean rooms. Great place to stay!

Brand new hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Our room was on the side that faced the i85 interstate so it was pretty loud from the trucks going by at high speeds. Make sure you ask for a room that faces theft let side of the property. They pool and the facilities are very nice.

Poorly maintained. Unless you absolutely have to stay I recommend finding a different hotel.

The front desk staff were great, but otherwise I was disappointed by this hotel. We chose it because it was one of the few places in town which has a bedroom separated by a door, which we wanted as we are travelling with our infant. The rooms cannot get dark, since there are sheer curtains on the glass doors going into the bedrooms and a bright light outside which shines into the kitchen window, which cant be darkened. The ceiling above us squeaked loudly every time the person upstairs moved. The bathrooms and space in general are tiny; there was barely space for the pack n play. We didnt get turndown service the first day, even though we hadnt requested to NOT receive service. The towels were rough and abrasive. The bed felt like sleeping on a trampoline: you sunk into the middle. The lights on the smoke detectors flashed brightly and erratically. Overall it was just an uncomfortable experience and I would not recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel. I basically have a small apartment. Very very clean. Comfortable bed and everything one may need for a stay minus food.

Unreasonably strong scent of cleaner when we entered our room. Opened windows and turned on the air to clear the air some. One of the windows has no screen, so didnt feel comfortable leaving it open. Day 2, cleaning smell is fading to be replaced by the stench of rot. Did I mention the fridge didnt work either? I believe thats where the stench is coming from. Odd things indicate room isnt as clean as it smells. Coffee grounds in kitchen disposal. Popcorn kernels in front closet. Lipstick under a bathroom sink.

Should improve as rebranding is completed.

We stayed in the two bedroom suite. It was very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds and a quiet place. We willreturn here the next time we are in Montgomery!

I just got this message from residence inn saying rate your visit well Im giving them a five star because it been good so for even had an employee ask if I wanted help carry things from my car. I would say if youre ever passing through Montgomery please stay here you want be disappointed I promise.

Would have gave a 5 star but your Renta Cop (security guy) had a nasty attitude for trying to use the back door to the lobby when I called to come get ice. And customer service is a big deal to me and his old lazy self needs to be fired.

Hard to find at night. Room clean and roomy with full kitchen. The exception of the very tiny bathroom. Average breakfast except that it included kimchee and rice.

The employees have been outstanding, but the place is going through renovations and it gets loud. It gets difficult to try and work when there is banging and construction going on in the room next to you as well as above you. Again, this is not a reflection on the customer service, just the overall experience. I would imagine that once the renovations are completed that quietness for working from the room will no longer be an issue.
