Dr. Hatton and her Assistant Reneé are absolutely awesome to work with. Especially if you are like me and have issues at the dentist. Definitely recommend

If you need a good thorough cleaning, the hygienist there is great! DO NOT go there for any other dental work. You will get plenty of scheduled appointments and bills because they do not mind charging you! However, you will still be waiting for the work to get done.

My other half had to go in and pay for the same x-rays that they already had done previously. It is the exact same tooth that they already knew that had to be pulled. So they charge him yet again and they were to busy laughing and talking to do there job. Then dentist came in says that she doesnt pull teeth. Well like my other half said same thing then why are you a dentist. This was so Wrong because there was no reason to not pull it at all. I also dont understand why they have changed dentist so many times. One thing that I do know is that we will never go back there for any reason. I am still trying to find out how to get his money back because the 2nd x-ray was exactly like the first one that they already had and documented it so the only right thing they can do is refund his money because they already had exact same x-ray

Horrible service! I wish I could give NO stars! Terrible customer service! I scheduled an appointment over a week ago for an emergency appointment for my daughter. They sent me multiple confirmation emails and appointment reminders. Upon arrival today for the appointment. I was told “you are at the wrong place”, “you need to check the address you aren’t at the right office” and “you don’t know what you are talking about”. Once I showed the appointment reminder emails they said “well we don’t have it on our schedule” and “oh well too bad”. There was no I’m sorry or any apology, empathy or sympathy at all. The manager was sitting at the front desk as well and literally said “oh well too bad it wasn’t on our schedule”. I took off work to come to this appointment and took my daughter out of school so she could be there. So not only did my daughter not get to be seen as scheduled they were rude, unprofessional and did not care at all about the error their company made! I will never be bringing my children back. Beware!

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service!The receptionist kept putting me on hold (for VERY LONG waits) & asking what can I help you with? or what do you want?. She literally asked me 5 times (FIVE!) is this a New Patient? After I had already told her wed been a patient prior AND given her the details of that visit! I had to give my childs D.O.B. Twice & spell her name 4 times (Yes, FOUR Times!!!) when its really NOT that complicated! (We have a 4 Letter Last Name & her 1st name is 5 Letters). She honestly, needs more training in working with & accommodating patients (if she wasnt on something) well, maybe even still..Our Previous visit: I took off work early & we went ALL the way up to office only to discover that my childs appointment had been cancelled! I received NO Phone Call letting me know this, which is the real issue!!! They said they were unable to verify our insurance, or it wasnt showing we had insurance. Whatever that means. They ended up seeing us, but just looked at my daughters teeth, gave her a toothbrush & charged us $98!!! FYI: we WERE & ARE Still FULLY insured & havent had any problems with this elsewhere.Glad this receptionists UNPROFESSIONAL behavior brought me to read the reviews & see that the dentists here have broken, & ruined, 2 different patients teeth in their office. SMH! As well, there was NO Accountability for their negligence & 1 patient was CHARGED for them to fix THEIR Mistake!!! : ○

Worst dentist I have ever come across. Wish I could give ZERO STARS. Gave referrals for surgeons that do not take new patients. I’ve been in pain for days and Union Family Dental claimed there was and is nothing they can do. I’ve been in several times prior. They are unprofessional and unacceptable. They make their money off lies and deceit towards their patients.Begged for a review after the service here it is!

Dr Hatten was amazing and the rest of the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommended if your needing any dental work. Jennifer cleaned my teeth better than anyone ever has.

That one star is for how union family dental use to be, with different people there, I loved coming there, was going there for years but recently the staff changed, receptionist is rude and not knowledgeable, suppose have got called for partials and they suppose have sent it off to my insurance, it was excuses after excuses, I canceled me and my kids appointment there and going elsewhere.

Very helpful and accommodating, would definitely recommend their establishment.

No social distancing in lobby very small lobby chairs still very close together. Receptionist had no mask on she put on when I walked in and saw her take it down again while I was in room and her window was wide open. Appointments back to back so 3 people in lobby and appointment 11.30am wasnt seen until 12:05. I explained I needed a back tooth pulled on phone I am in pain. I come in they look ooh we cant do it here is a referal the place refered is not seeing people until October total waste of time and still in pain. Doctor didnt give me the news it was the assistant dont go here unless you want to waste your time.

Such a wonderful place to take your kids! They do such a wonderful job with children of all ages and its always fast! I love how engaging they are with my kids through every step of what they are doing and how supportive and patient they are.

I spoke to several people in this office months in advance to ensure I would be able to get my 6 month cleaning. I was told yes and could send my old xrays and bring a note from my OB. I did everything asked and they refused to see me. They saw my child and gave her an OPEN toothbrush that was put back in its package wet! WORST dentist ever!!!!

Denise was very helpful with all my paperwork and questions and made me feel welcomed. The staff took great care of me like I’ve been going there for years, even though it was my first visit. Best atmosphere I’ve even had at a dentist office. Very funny and caring people who work there.

I feel like the entire staff really puts the child first and sincerely cares about what theyre doing. The place is very clean and you dont have to spend much time in the waiting room. Everyone Ive met has been very professional, honest, patience, and kind. Its the first dental office that hasnt left my son hysterical and hasnt tried to push unnecessary expenses on me. I dont plan on taking him anywhere else.

You know, the last time I went here was a year ago. My experience here was so bad I still think about it often, and finally decided that I had to post about it.Let me start by saying I have *extreme* anxiety and fear of dentists. Like extreme, and the fact is, it shows in my teeth. Before coming here last year myself and my whole family went here prior to the change in dentists. Even though it wasn’t the most up to date office, they were kind, good to my kids, and seemed to care about helping me. So when I had some dental trouble last year and wanted to get it fixed before a big trip, I came here.The dentist had changed, but the reviews were still good so I was feeling positive about the experience. Instead of being taken care of, I was berated by the dentist. He didn’t seem to care *at all*. He got upset, lectured me, and sent me on my way. I booked my appointment to have the tooth fixed. I thought maybe I deserved being berated like that. I could definitely have done better on my oral hygiene.And then I came back for the filling. When I say that the doctor didn’t care, I’m not joking. He went as fast as he could, and didn’t put a bite block in. I can’t hold my jaw open very well for long periods of time because of TMJ (which I was diagnosed with a loooooong time ago). He fixed the tooth he was supposed to, but at one point *I* noticed that the top of the drill made contact with the tooth above, and I do believe it caused damage to that tooth. Not only that but once he was done he ran out without a word.I have been to a lot of dentists in my life. I grew up as a child in the army, and have met a lot. I even had braces. So I have met my share of dental professionals. NEVER in my life have I been treated as I was at this office. I’ve had other cavities that I needed filled that I haven’t had done because I felt like the most horrible person and I refused to come back to even have my teeth cleaned at a place where they feel okay making people who are clearly anxious in a dentists office feel worse.At the end of the day, I know what I need is sedation dentistry. However, this was what I could afford at the time. If you’re in the same boat I am, just don’t go here. I don’t know if they’ve changed the dentist in the last year, but I doubt it, and I wouldn’t even chance it. I still think of this place and my horrible experience here a year later, and even though I don’t live in Monroe anymore, I felt I had to speak up. I know a lot of people can’t go to the dentist regularly because of insurance issues etc. I also know that when you finally go you want to be taken care of by someone who genuinely wants to help. This used to be that place, but it’s not that place anymore. They should get no stars, but I gave two because the office staff was pretty good, and helpful.

Everyone is so nice. I was in extreme pain and they were booked, but told me to come in anyway. Then, squeezed me in a few days later. During my root canal I had to force myself to stay awake, from not sleeping with pain, because I didnt feel a thing. Dr. Hatten is so kind and an amazing dentist, and everyone there is amazing! I have had terrible history with dentists for different reasons, so I am so glad to have found this office.

I usually love this dentist, they are on top of things and can get a cleaning and fillings done in one day and you dont have to worry about coming back 500 times especially if you have multiple kids, however not sure what has got into them this 2019 year but they are slacking for sure

This doctor office is amazing. They are very patient and make you feel comfortable. My tolerance for pain is very low and I do not like needles but Dr. Hatten was amazing and her assistant was so reassuring and attentive. I didnt feel a single thing or even shed a tear while getting my work done lol. I love this office. They send you reminders about appointments and explain everything so that you understand. I even bring my child here as well and he loves it. What kid likes the dentist? Id give them more stars if possible. The staff at the front desk are amazing as well. I may give it another try but im still debating it! I will update again if i choose to go back! Thank you Dan for following up!Let me start off by saying my appointment was at 11am 1st time there! Got there at 10:45 finished all paperwork by 10:55 did not get called baxk til 11:10 or 11:15... All they did was xrays and had the doctor come in and do a regular check! No cleaning or anything stating i needed to be cleared by my obgyn (because i am pregant) did not get out of the office til 12:45pm! The office manager is very rude and when i called back and ask to speak with the office mananger she said this is she, i went on to ask who was over her and she refused to answer at 1st until i kept at asking the question over and over, after that she gave me an email and spit out some 1st name and that was that! Save yourself the time and hassle, GO ELSE WHERE

I was bullied and ambushed by the Union county office staff. I had called in to make an appointment and the staff member immediately said I owed money. I had just made a payment prior to this and they said to make final payment when I came in next. But I couldnt get this staff member to make my appointment. So one person told me one thing the other told me another. Then she blamed me for getting mad. I think this staff is not self accountable for their actions. She just said you owe money. The bill had just been finalized from insurance. It was not an old outstanding bill. Then the manager began an email war with me. I felt like I was bullied and ambushed by the office staff.

They were great up until they put money 1st over there patient. I was a patient for over 2 yrs well went to get a cap glued back on and they wanted the cash upfront. I told her i could get the cash and bring it back so she wanted to reschedule the appointment mind you im already in the chair ready to have it done but now have to come back because i didnt have 100$ right then. So for you to put $ over your patients health and well being especially when i wasnt just a walk off the street patient. I tried to keep a cool head but that really hurt knowing that money meant more than a smile. And my insurance paid for the visit the xray etc jus not the glue so they got paid over half and couldnt work with me on 70$? People should always come 1st money will come with smiles.

As far as taking a child to this office I havent had a problem. My 2 year old has done good so far. But as a adult I will never return to this office. During my cleaning the person was very heavy handed and broke 2 of my teeth. Then when they had to fix the teeth she broke I was charged for it. And when I refused to pay the bill I was harassed for three weeks until I blocked the number from calling my phone.

When I made my daughters appt I was never told I couldnt bring anyone else besides the patient in the room. Due to no childcare I brought my 7mo old baby strapped on to me, my 1yr, and my 4yr old who was the patient. I get there and the lady who called us back says you can only have 1 person in the room, do you mind waiting out here since you have the other kids. The front desk saw me with all 3 kids did not mention anything at all before they called us back. I told her I wanted to be in the room so she took me into the room and got the manager. I get it, safety is first for the person in the chair but what got me upset was that I was never told all that from the very beginning. They said I could stay but if my 1yr was not still or making too much noise I would have to leave the room. I told them I would much rather change doctors, Ive never had that problem with any specialist Doctors except here. I work for a doctors office and I did not like the service I got from the very beginning except for when I made the appt over the phone.

Fast and friendly staff.

I went in for a appointment, walked in. No one was up front. We kept saying hello, no answer. We waited over 10 minutes no one came to the front. My mother had to go to the back to find someone. Then a lady came up to the front, still eating a candy bar. She was acting very rude and unprofessional. It took forever for my daughter to get called back, and then we had to wait forever again for the person to come into the room. Then we had to make another appointment to get one thing done which wouldnt have took long at all. My daughter missed 4 days in March due to tooth pain. I gave her Tylenol to help with the pain, but the pain was too intense that it didnt help her. I called the dentist several times to make a appointment for her to be seen. This was back in the middle of March. They told me the next available appointment is in May. My daughter was out of school for 4 days through out March and they said my daughter could not get a doctors note for school because she was not seen. Stay away from here!

It was a good experience with the doctors, the assistant Daniela was able to translate all my treatment for me. When I had questions they answered them and I understood everything! The service of this dental office is one of the best of all my experiences! And apart from that they were able to start treatment the same day!
