Ladies, don’t let the name “barber shop” fool you… I was looking for a local hair salon I could trust to get a hair cut and color. Cecilia recently took over this shop from her relative; she used to do hair in California and is a pro! Plus, she uses high-quality color products from Germany so your hair does not get damaged. Picture attached to see my results.My husband also got his hair cut here and loved it. We were both in NYC for 10 years so we have high standards. This place is premium quality at a good price.

Small but comfortable barber shop. Not to busy in the afternoon. Nice ambiance. Can park behind and walk up alley to get to the shop.

Great small town barber shop carrying on the traditions established by RD Conner himself but with an updated, more modern look inspired by the new owner, Cecelia. Tremendous barbers are fast and accurate. The place has an awesome atmosphere and the people there make it fun to visit. Decent prices, skilled barbers and great service! I have never gotten a bad cut here and I highly recommend these wonderful folks.

I have taken my two young grandsons here for haircuts. It was a wonderful experience both times. Cecilia was very sweet and the haircuts looked great! The atmosphere is very welcoming, clean, and covid appropriate. This will definitely be our new barber shop!

Excellent barber shop. Hardest to find it.

After seeing a number of complaints about shaking hands, I felt compelled to comment. We all get older and sometimes we encounter illness along the road of life. Anthony, the previous owner, cut my hair many times over the years and his talent and speed always amazed me. Anthony died about a year or so ago. Shortly before his death, his hands became shaky and his eyesight was fading but he never complained or explained what was ailing him. All I can tell you is that the last 3 times he cut my hair, I looked like a kindergarten child cut my hair. Soon after that, Anthony died and then I understood it was an illness that caused him to do such poor work. What a shame after such a talented and lengthy career. To the end, Anthony remained kind and cheerful so it pains me to see all the uncharitable comments. However unpleasant, the comments are understandable at the same time as well. Now the shop is owned by Anthonys young niece, Cecelia. Cecelia possesses Anthonys kind spirit and sweet nature and she is also very talented at cutting hair. Under her leadership, the Monroe Barbershop remains a nice hometown shop honoring the memories of JD Conner and her uncle. The shop is owned by a great lady and staffed by wonderful and caring people who always have a kind word. They turn out great haircuts at reasonable prices. The shop is clean, updated and pleasant. Cecelia does fabulous work and deserves your business. Give the Monroe Barbershop a try, I promise you wont be disappointed.

I just went to the barbershop to try it out. There is a new owner and she remodeled the place, IT LOOKS LOVEY!!! They did a great job. My cut was one of the best i ever had. 10/10 and will start going there from now on! Request Cecilia for your haircut!!!

Well I payed for 2 haircuts today, needless to say the man that cut my hair had shaky hands and a terrible job at fading me up. I highly recommend Kutz Amazing if you want a professional and great haircut.

We went to this place today, the niece of the man who used to run the place now owns it and she did an amazing job cleaning the place up and renovating the place. Looks real nice there and the lady whom cut my sister’s hair did an amazing job!! Something that took an hour somewhere else took 20 mins and looked great! Definitely going back!!

The guy was extremely shaky and took way too much of my beard off. I was terrified he was going shave off my beard and worse cut me. I paid for the service but I wont be going back here.

Google has to start adding an option for NO stars.While walking downtown saw what I thought was an old time barber shop...nope a chop shop.The guy was shaking, eyes half closed, and couldnt even cut a straight line.After asking 3x to fix it I just got up and paid so I could leave...he stood there with his hand out looking for a tip.....NEVER ATTEMPT THIS PLACE unless you are looking to be chopped up...oh and this was just for a beard trim

Worst haircut my husband has ever had! The barber cut all around his ear. He has blood running down his face. I really hope he doesn’t contract something. Also I had to fix his hair when he got home cuz the back had missing hair in places and his fade didn’t blend at all. I don’t know how he stays in business.

Would give less if I could! My fiancees hair and beard are ruined! STAY AWAY!!
