Amazing teachers and staff. Friendly and fun environment. My kids have learned self-defense, respect for others, and grown in confidence at FMA for almost 10 years!
I used to come here when I was younger, if my family hadn’t moved I would’ve never left. Amazing staff, amazing instructors, I honestly had so many amazing memories here and at the old location. I would recommend to anybody considering studying a martial art.
Great with kids! What a great place! Attentive, great values, and a place for the whole family. Our son has made some tremendous strides in the programs offered. Master Kim and crew have earned our greatest respect. From day one we knew this was going to be our ‘go to’ place. Their values are clearly stated.
My son loved it so much that I joined, too! All staff are friendly, helpful, and we never feel like anyone looks down on us if we have a question. All are willing to help with anything at anytime. Master Kim certainly loves his students!
FMA is great! My son has been taking lessons for almost 2 years and he loves it. Master Kim does a great job encouraging the children and making it fun for them. All the Masters are great! I have enjoyed watching my son grow in strength, his abilities, and his positivity towards learning new things. Hes always amazed when he learns new moves and accomplishes them. Its fun to watch all the kids grow and accomplish things in the class. Great job!!
My two kids love it here, and the staff members are great with the kids. My kids learn and have fun at the same time, thanks to the staff. Highly recommended!
The teachers and environment at family marital arts are nothing short of amazing! We signed my daughter up to help with her confidence and it was one of our greatest decisions. If youre looking into martial arts for yourself or your kids I would definitely recommend family martial arts!
I just joined today and had my first class and absolutely loved it. The other people in the class are fantastic, and help you out when needed. Master Kim and Krista and the other staff are wonderful people and make you feel very comfortable. They have day classes as well as night classes to fit your schedule. This place is not just for children, there are plenty of adults, you will definitely get in shape as well as learn Taekwondo from great people.
Both of my sons train here. The instruction theyre receiving is great! Master Kim is awesome at keeping the kids focused, entertained, and motivated to learn.
Fantastic place, run by an awesome group of dedicated instructors.
We love FMA. My oldest takes Taekwondo lessons. She loves it, I have seen her confidence grow. This place is very child friendly. Master Kim does an amazing job with all the children.
Our 5 year old daughter recently started FMA but we are extremely happy so far! Very friendly staff and a nice facility. The instructors are all really good with the kids and our daughter really enjoys going.
We are so thankful to have signed ours boys up for the Black Belt Program at Family Martial Arts. All the Masters and Instructors are so kind, caring, helpful, and patient; and they do a wonderful job teaching all. The facility is a positive, clean, and fun environment. They host awesome birthday parties as well. They celebrate special days, like Mother’s / Father’s Day, summer picnics, and a holiday/ New Years gathering. They even sing to the student (s) on their birthday at the end of class! We enjoy seeing our boys learn Tae Kwon Do, make friends, and grow in confidence.
I have been going to the adult morning classes for 3 years and I LOVE IT. Master Kim is an awesome instructor!!!! The combination of workout and martial arts in the class has really helped me get in shape and its NEVER boring. The people in the class are great and I feel really comfortable. Master Kims teaching has inspired and motivated me to stick with this class.
Fantastic instructors who truely love what they teach. My daughter has gross motor issues and Taekwondo has helped her find balance and strength. Other then the physical workout the instructors have also taught her many life skills and emotional control. Family Martial Arts has become more then what we expected and we couldnt be happier.
We had my grandsons birthday there today and it was BY FAR, the best party. The instructors are amazingly fun and kind with the kids. Everyone had a great time. I am sooo happy we have found this place and made it a part of our life.
After my 6 year old was in Taekwondo for almost three years, we felt she was outgrowing the dojang that we were at previously. We switched to this place a few months ago and couldn’t be happier! It’s a lot more professionally run with a staff that actually cares about what they’re doing. Not to mention that the owner of the place is not only present almost every day, he is passionate, kind, and patient. Our only regret is not switching sooner! One of my main reasons for wanting to switch dojangs were the opportunities that this place offers in the community... parades, tournaments, etc. They also offer fun classes on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and they do Parents Night Out every so often on Fridays! It’s not just about the classes, it’s also about the community and getting the kids involved! Look no further than this place!!!
I am a 72 year old senior and joined FMA 10 months ago. I progressed from a white belt to green so far in route to eventually my black belt. I attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and occasionally a night class. My instructor Krista and Master Kim make me feel right at home. My balance and cardio has improved immensely since starting.I recommend to all seniors to give TKD a try. You wont be sorry and will feel much better physically and mentally.
My daughter has attended for three years and I have have attended for a year and a half. Master Kim is excellent with the children as well a personable. The children love him. If you want to learn Tae Kwon Do, Family Martial Arts is the school for you. I absolutely love the art, the instructors, Master Kim and the challenge of the classes! Highly recommend!
Family martial arts is a wonderful place for both kids and adults interested in martial arts. My son is now a black belt and it has helped to gain self confidence and met many friends. My wife joined Tae Kwon Do and I joined Hapkido after a family event they had for Mother’s/Father’s day.The instructors are very knowledgeable and encouraging.
My son has been attending since February of 2014 and is enrolled in the Black Belt Club. This is the best place! Master Kim and ALL the instructors are patient, kind and successful in educating children in discipline and Tae Kwon Do. We are very impressed in activities available for the entire family throughout the year. Family Picnics, Fathers Day child/parent class, Movie Nights, etc. Awesome place!
Great teachers and staff that go the extra mile to make a good experience for your family all around. Warm, calm, composed, and welcoming.
Family Marital Arts is a great place to learn and train in a friendly and helpful atmosphere. They offer both Taekwondo and Hapkido. My two boys and wife have been training at FMA for the past 4+ years. After years of watching my family develop their skills in Taekwondo I finally signed up and started training in Hapkido a little over a year ago.Prior to my family starting at FMA we looked at a few schools in the area and watch a few classes at all the schools. We were impressed with all the FMA instructors and how they worked with the students and their level of skill. We also noticed, unlike the other schools we visited, the number of students who had reach 1st degree black belt and have continued on in the program to higher levels.Adult classes are offered during morning and evening hours, which work well for my busy schedule. The owner Master Sungho Kim studied and trained in Martial Arts at Yong In University in Seoul South Korea prior to immigrating to the United States. Running Family Martial Arts is Master Kims full time job and his passion and love for the art shows through in his instruction. You only need to sit through and watch or participate in one class to feel his passion.
