The place wouldn’t take a paid package and there was someone there. They closed at 1 and I was in there at 1:05. I just needed someone to grab the package as it’s already paid for. She woman wouldn’t bother. Ignorant at best. I’ve had enough of problems with the post office lately as are many other people. If they do their jobs there wouldn’t be such problems. Smh
I dont use the post office much but I have to say my experience at the Mokena Post office was as good as could be. Rhonda was super efficient and very friendly. If I have to use the PO again I will definitely come back to Mokena.
Really great service got my packages sent out on time and the post master helped me throughout the whole process great guys and gals over there.
Employees helped to an extent. Then didnt. They were willing to work with me as I first entered and had to wait in a line then was met with attitude after getting through 2 of my 3 separate packages.
Rude staff with a minimal level of helpfulness.
Starting to get along with the new workers, quick in and out place
The people who work there now are very helpful and hard-working
Workers are trying their hardest in very difficult times. People are frequently rude and impatient with the postal workers.
This is by far the worst post office I have ever been to. The guy behind the counter talk to me like I was stupid. Everybody here has an attitude.
The ladies inside are very helpful! I had to return a cell phone and wasnt sure what type of packaging to use. The lady working there told me about her experience with sending a phone back and helped me out. The company got their phone quickly without a hitch, and it only cost me about a dollar to deliver it. The mailbox is also very easy to pull up to, drop it in, and zip right out.
Package stuck in transit for days. Always pushing the delivery back on the website. Delivery time always changing too. Never using USPS again.
They should have more workersOne with smiles
This my favorite post office! Everyone is super friendly and professional. The postmaster greets the customers and makes sure that this location operates efficiently. My packages are always scanned in and delivered to my customers with lightening speed! My local carrier is Ray out of the Tinley Park office and he is the BEST! Between Ray and the Mokena Post Office my perspective of dealing with USPS has changed 100%. Thanks, Thanks and Thanks again!
It was awesome! I sent a package to the wrong location. A guy on the phone talked me through what I had to do. Total nice guy who wanted to help me. Wow.
I just now walked in at 2:30pm on a Friday. The window was half closed. I waited for 5 minutes and watched three other people walk in and walk out. I called while standing in the lobby. A man walked up and said they were closed. He could not prepare what he was working on and help customers. Please either post a notice or lock the door so people dont stand around wonder what is going on.
I hate to comment but our driver delivered the packages to the wrong house ..and when our amazing neighbor brought our (christmas gifts) to the right house(saying package was handed to recipient)..not correct address!!!! I just hope mail carriers presents dont get delivered to wrong house!!!
This is the worst Post Office. Package shipped and sat in their back room for 8 days before it moved. Terrible service.
They have to lose that bureaucratic mentality and serve the customers, I mean they are going under and the over 45 yr old employees dont get it. There is a black guy that works and fills in at all the Lincoln way post offices and hes the best, no BS and hes younger and has no attitude and knows what hes doing.
I dread going to this place, and have walked out on multiple occasions due to the fact the line is perpetually long, regardless of what time it is, and there is always one extraordinarily slow person working. Its not just one person in particular--this is has been going on for years. There could be 12 people waiting in line, and still, one person will be handling everything. Going here is a bit like going to the DMV. The New Lenox PO is much better and faster, but sometimes I have to pick up a package that I wasnt home to sign for. The last one got lost, they called all the surrounding post offices, couldnt track it down, and then called me an hour later to say they found it stuck behind a door. Seriously?
Incapable of forwarding mail, delivering mail, or promptly attending to customer service concerns. Abysmal.
Bad experience here today. I brought in a package with pre-paid postage for drop-off at the Mokena Post Office (12/29 3:30pm) and asked if I could get a receipt. The nicely made-up middle-age very blond Clerk#1 behind the counter said in a not very nice way, You dont get a receipt because you didnt pay for anything. When I asked, Well then can you please scan my package? she said yes, and then dropped my package onto the seat of her chair (without scanning it) and disappeared into the back of the post office. Aware that the tracking would not be activated until it was scanned, I stood there for a few moments waiting for her to come back and scan my package. When she didnt return, I asked Clerk#2 at the other counter if she would scan my package in. She said of course, and as she reached to do it, Clerk#1 came rushing out of the back, grabbed the package from her, and said to her, You dont have to scan it! Clerk#2 reached out and scanned the barcode anyway, just a split second before Clerk#1 sent it sailing a good 6 feet through the air into a bin at the back. I was a bit upset by the whole exchange, and regretfully left there without getting Clerk#1s name, but absolutely questioning whether she was acting in good faith in the handling of my package.Where is the sense in leaving a customers package sitting on your chair, then trying to prevent a colleague from scanning it to activate the tracking, and finally throwing it halfway across the room into a bin without regard for its contents? ALL IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMER. This does not inspire confidence that ones package will reach its destination intact, or even at all. I have used this post office before and have for the most part been treated kindly and professionally (especially by the people of color, hope this is the PC way to say it). However, I will be going elsewhere from now on, just to avoid encountering Clerk#1. There is a very good UPS location near Lowes/Target, as well as other post offices in the area that are more professional, treat your packages with care, and scan them automatically when you drop them off.
Tracked my package that Was supposed to be delivered to my house on December 15th. It is now christmas eve and still dont have it. Not only does it seem like noone cares about there job there, the delivery drivers CONSTANTLY put mail in the wrong box. Wonder how much of my mail went to different houses and just got thrown away
Stole my key deposit from me when I turned in the keys for the post office box Id paid for. Asked for the manager when the rude agent shoved a receipt in my face saying I dont know why you dont get a refund. She said shes the postmaster, but why would the postmaster not know how to work the system?? Straight up lied to me and was rude and insulting on top of it.
Poor service and indifferent staff. Not very helpful
Courteous and efficient! Easy in and out, too.
IGNORANT and RUDE TIMES 10!!Mokena Post office is the worst Post office ive ever been in and Ive been in them across the whole country. This CYNTHIA person wouldnt take my package because she couldnt affix the clear plastic customs pouch flatly on one side of the box, she had to wrap it over one edge of the box?? Because i didnt know any better i re-packaged the whole thing- wasted all that tape, packing material and MY TIME!!! (back and forth to the facility twice!!)Now I know better and would not stand for such ludicrous behavior--I have what is now a successful online business and in the early days i had to go all the way to Tinley Park to avoid dealing with those 2 butt-h*les that work there.I spend thousands of dollars a month on shipping with and without USPS and luckily I have a daily pick up now at my home--Thank Goodness!!If i didnt, I would make it my MISSION to have them removed from having any dealings with the public .... Cynthia clearly hates her job and is a very unhappy woman,i hope they, or someone with authority, reads all these GLOWING reviews and gets that place in shape.. shame on them for putting a bad mark on our communities reputation..
Better than it has ever been. Must have re-staffed after so many complaints of the old lady.
Every time I come here I regret it. Ive often left and driven to the next town to get my questions answered or mail processed. Something about this office, the employees seem to hate working here.
Really busy, always a line, employees arent usually in the best of spirits.
Not very friendly, very slow!
Bad attitude from one of their lady employee.
