Very friendly and prompt customer service. I called to inquire about any available snow blowers for sale because a snow storm had just hit recently and all stores were sold out. The Woman on the phone answered all my questions about the trade-in snow blower I was interested in and was very patient with me.When I arrived at the store the next morning the gentlemen were all extremely friendly, quick, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions since I had never owned a snow blower before. They showed me how to use it outside even though it was extremely cold, helped me load it into my car, and when the hatch wouldnt close even went the extra mile to get some rope and tie it down for me. Additionally, the trade-in snow blower was in very good condition and the Woman on the phones description was completely accurate. A+ all around.
I ordered a $5000 Toro mower from Home Depot. It was sent to J&R for assembely and white glove delivery. The gentleman was very nice who dropped it off and went over the basics of the mower. When he left I mowed for about 10 minutes and the deck belt started to smoke and broke. I called J&R (less than an hour after drop-off) and told them what happened. I was told that if I wanted them to come back and repair the mower I was going to have to pay them. I reiterated that it was a brand new mower assembled by them and dropped off less than an hour prior. I asked again if they really wanted me to pay for them to fix it and he replied yes with nothing further to say. I said thanks and hung up. Ridiculous.
Very good and extremely knowledgeable. Very fair prices. Highly recommend.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. They have never failed to repair my lawn equipment.
Awesome place for help with your existing equipment or if new equipment is needed. Was also very happy with the staff. I needed a small part for my generator and would not be able to get theres until after hours. They made arrangements for me to prepay and was able to leave the part were I could pick it up after hours
I already knew I wanted the Stihl 600 backpack blower. They had it in stock. They made sure it ran along with a little tutorial on how to start it. 15 minutes in and out. My kind of place!
Guys are great, service is top self!
The guy was friendly helpful honest and scheduled to pick up my lawn mower.
Bought an older used mower from them a couple of years ago at a good price. It works well but I decide to have it serviced this year for a tune-up to keep it in good working condition. It took about a week for them to work on it. Overall good service at a fair price.
Friendly service, knowledgeable staff
Dropped off my chainsaw 9/14/18. Was told 2 to 3 weeks. Which implies they are done in order. It is now 2 1/2 months later and my chainsaw is still not fixed. I was told this is because they have snow blowers to fix. Im not sure how they were able to cut to the front line. When I express my displeasure. I was told by Eric the owner he could put my saw/parts in a cardboard box and give it back to me. ( I bring him a saw that runs, though rough it does run and I get back a Box of parts)I was a loyal customer who has purchased tools parts and service from them in the past and this is how I was treated. Is truly a shame because Im a big beliver of supporting small business.
Thanks for fixing my lawn mower. Runs great and got thru some thick grass with no problem. A sharp blade and a clean filter goes a long way!
I have purchased parts and equipment from J+R for over 6 years and have always had a positive experience. They are competive with thier pricing, meeting or beating big box store prices. They also have a huge inventory of parts, even some obscure older saw parts I could not find anywhere else. Eric the owner has also given me great advice that has saved me money and countless hours of frustration. They are always a pleasure to deal with. I highly Recommend this place.
Had everything I needed, very knowledgeable
Ok but gas cap is too big
Ive been using repair and start-of-season services for years. just bought a snow thrower for a very fair price. cant go wrong using J and R.
Should have checked reviews before I decided to Take my mower in to get it Tuned up. First they will tell you it will be 3 to 4 weeks. Wrong!! I’d go in to the calls I made but it would be a waste of time. cost $80 more then quoted By email. Spoke to one of the owners and he gave me some B.S. No one called to get an approval but then again my fault for not looking at the reviews first. Bad customer service! you live and learn. . find another place to get your lawn equipment serviced.
Helpful staff
This place is great, they are nice and have great service.
Great repair/parts dealer for all yard equipment
Reasonable prices
J and R cleaned the carb on my 30 year old Toro snow thrower, and brought to my attention that the plastic gas tank was cracked. A potentially dangerous situation. I had been smelling gasoline when using it. They gave me an estimate of around $145 for everything, but when I picked up the snow thrower, the bill was only around $100. When I asked why it was less, they told me that since they already had the machine apart for the carb cleaning, the labor was less for the gas tank replacement. I appreciated their honesty. They could have charged me the quoted price. That earned them my future snow thrower and lawn mower business. Plus, I found them to be very nice people to work with.
Great place they do really good service the very nice place
They can fix anything, reasonably
Not only did they fix my snowblower with the quote he gave me over the phone, but did it in half the time as expected. Definitely recommend to anyone and will use them again.
They do good work, but youre going to wait 2-3 weeks to get your mower back. When you call to ask, they tell you itll be ready, when its ready
Brought my mower in to get fixed and they told me it would be two week turn around... one month later I get a call saying it was going to cost way more than anticipated. I told them not to do the work and when I go to pick up the mower not only do I have to pay a 20 service fee but they didnt put my mower back together! I brought it because the self propel didnt work, now it is completely useless! When I questioned the manager he told me Well, you didnt tell us you would want us to put it back together. Really!?! I never had to tell someone not to destroy a product I brought in to get fixed! Horrible service, horrible ethics... find another place to get your lawn equipment serviced.
Had a bad experience in this place. Bought a $50 belt and broke in 3 days. Gave it back and they said it would take a month to warranty it so I had to buy another belt again for $50. They finally said my new belt came in. They wouldn’t give me my money back and I didn’t need the second belt because I had to buy another one. It’s a joke and I would never buy anything from them and there customer service sucks!!!
Very good mechanics really good reasonable prices very fast response Im getting products back
I bought a snowblower and everything was just fine
Great place for outdoor tool replacements.
Have used to service my equipment for over 30 years. Great local business for repair needs and new equipment.
These guys will fix anything, and not charge you an arm and a leg. My favorite small-engine repair shop.
They seem pretty knowledgeable
Friendly fast service

I told them the model number of my bededger and not only did they give me the wrong replacement belt but when I returned it they charged me a restocking fee. Never again will I step foot in this place.
