I purchased a living room set from Darvin. This was my first time shopping here. I was verrrryyyy pleased with how the sales person assisted me. He was patience, kind and thorough. Calvin Johnson has a customer for life! I appreciate your help and I love my living room set.

They were dishonest on the phone about what they could and couldnt assemble or disassemble. They are thirsty for sales, but are terrible with following up on their service. Case and point : had a bed brought in today. After they assembled it, I noticed a drawer was not done right. The delivery men had been gone for no more than 10min. I called them back and they returned, took a look, and said they cant do it today and that theyd need to contact their manager. Still waiting on the result of the manager call, or a time to reschedule a simple job that shouldve and couldve been done right the first time. This will be the last order I place with Darvin. They are not the Darvin of the 90s anymore.Edit : manager refunded the delivery charge. Ill give them an extra star

Told back in March it take 4 to 6 weeks for the recliner we ordered to come in, 3 1/2 months later still waiting. I guess when your government pays people not to go to work, Businesses cant function without Employees. Way to go Democrats!!!

We went to Darvin Furniture store on June 25, 2021 We received great service from Susan Koefoed. The manager Jim Valik was over the top. I have guess coming into town in July. We had went to serval stores in the Chicago land area, no one was able to deliver before July. Thanks again Jim Valik and Susan Koefoed.

Beware—Slow furniture delivery, if it ever comes. Over 4 hours late the day our order was delivered—still missing a headboard for complete bed set. Was told it was their inventory error. One month has passed and three “possible “ delivery windows with no product. I am disappointed in the lack of accountability and service. I am disappointed that we chose to go with them on this purchase.

I had never been to Darvin and after 30 years of buying furniture elsewhere, my sister convinced me it was the only place to go. She was right. Three hours after arriving, I had picked out basement furniture, side tables and a kitchen set. Everything was delivered within a reasonable time and the quality of my purchases is excellent. Janet was a friendly and helpful salesperson. Delivery gentleman were professional and made sure all areas were kept clean and no damage to any walls, etc. I will never go anywhere else!

I get the delays with Covid, but the monthly lying and deception was enough for us to finally cancel our order. We placed an order in November with the understanding that two pieces were in and the other two would be in later in the month. it was supposed to be two different deliveries. When it was passed our first delivery, I called and was told another month for the first set. I guess it was never really available. I waited until the end of December and was told that the first two were in, but was never called. The manager told me that we were 13th on the list and the other items would be in within 2 weeks. He ask me to hold tight and trust him. I called back after 3 weeks and was told again that it would be another month. So since November I was told many different dates and felt like I was lied to just to finally cancel my order. When I went in to cancel, I was told that all items are in. I didnt believe these comments and had enough. Furniture Liqudators in Mokena received my business and all items were delivered on time. Darvin has a nice selection, but the truth behind delivery dates are unknown.

Shared lot with refrigerated warehouse very crowded. May be able to shut down on street but I would avoid the lot. Receiving doesnt start until 0730 first come first serve.

Just watch when the cashier takes your credit or debit card,charged my debit card twice,total torment as the charge went through,and they kept denying it,had to close account down,ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

Recently bought a dining set from darvin for pick up. When I started assembling it I noticed some damage on the table. The legs on the stools are uneven, making the stools rock back and forth when sitting on them. When I called to see about returning I was told it is not returnable, and as for the damage I was told that I am responsible for opening it and inspecting before signing for it. I was never told to inspect or sign anything when I picked it up from the warehouse. I was just told to open my trunk they loaded it and I left without signing anything. The furniture is bad quality and not worth the price I paid, and customer service does not help at all. I will not make another purchase here again.

Worst company ever!! I tried to buy furniture for my apartment, but because my driver’s license doesn’t show my future apartment address, they assumed it was fraud. This is the worst company to get any furniture from. Will gladly take my business somewhere else. The person who decline my order after explanation is Jacqueline Wojcik. She was completely unprofessional and assumed I was fraud, but they took the money out my account. Absolutely unprofessional.

We looked for a few weeks for new furniture. Found what we what we wanted. Very helpful, on time delivery and easy to work with thank you.

Terrible service they call me and i missed the call. Yet i call within 2 minutes of missing the call and been calling for over an hour and no answer, no call back, left messages and nothing. Worst service i could imagine. Even worse than little Caesars pizza and theyre bad.

Hated how far it was from the store and how it was in the opposite direction for us. Also we had to go inside and waited inside because they werent ready and didnt know which door to tell us to go to. So wasting my gas going 15 minutes away from the store and then wasting my gas having to turn my car off to go inside and then wasting more gas after finding out the door and having to drive to the door. Seemed quite unorganized to me.

Helped immediately upon entering with a smile, and my item was loaded quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very nice!

Took my daughter here to pick up a Chair and I do have to say the Staff was extremely efficient and had the chair loaded and sent us on our way in a timely manner!! Great job Darvin!!

Another place I deliver to, so I can only speak of the warehouse. However Ive seen some of the furniture and I plan on getting one of their tables from them the next time I go there, and the price seemed to be very reasonable for the Chicago area.

Everyone is wonderful!! They gave your furniture at the dock in less than 20 minutes.The dock guys are GREAT!!! Theyll load up your furniture into your car or trailer or truck! Very nice and courteous staff.!!!

Easy to get to in big truck. I over nighted in parking lot, they took 4.5 hours to unload, checked in at 0700. Staff was friendly enough.

The people in the warranty/customer service department are very accommodating.

Horrible customer service at the Darvin warehouse Parts Dept. I called for parts for a dresser drawer. The service tech lost track of my inquiry. I called six weeks later to find out what was the delay.They found the manufacturer price quote in an overlooked email.I paid for the parts over phone with a credit card and the parts were ordered. Approximately 5 weeks later they called to tell me the parts were at the warehouse. When I arrived to pick up the parts, they couldn’t find them. Through some backtracking, they discovered the parts were shipped to a previous address I no longer lived at.They apologized for the mixup and had to re order the same parts. Three weeks later I was told the new parts were in the warehouse. Again I went to pick up my parts. When I arrived, they were unable to locate the parts they told me that had arrived. Two hours later with five people looking for them they turned up. Seems someone forgot to log the parts in the computer to assign them a retrieval station.I still had other parts that I was waiting for that were on backorder. Well four weeks later they again called me to inform me the rest of parts had arrived from over seas. So here I sit in the warehouse waiting room with enough time to go online and write this event summary while they search for them. I would suggest buying your furniture from a more established furniture store.Upon opening the box only to discover the parts are wrong.Steve M.

They called me to let me know my chair was in & to make sure I picked it up at the warehouse. I arrived.... couldnt find it, after waiting 40 minutes, told me it was at the store. Went to the store, after waiting outside the dock for another 1/2 hour, I called them & they came out to let me know they couldnt find it! Mind you, I live in NW Indiana..... warehouse is in Mokena Il. & store is in Orland Il. Now I get store credit. Woohoo
