Vanessa did my nails and provided very poor service. I had asked for a fill and had told her to please leave it coffin shaped and it came out in a total different shape. I had asked her if she can please narrow the tips down and replied with attitude. My overall experience was bad here. While she was fixing my nails she continued on making rude remarks and continuously calls me picky when all I wanted was to be satisfied with my nails because I am paying for the service. She had also told me that my nails for $40 before beginning the service and after she had charged me $55. She told me that her changing the nail shape added more money when I think she was purely being petty and raised the price just because I was unsatisfied. This was my first and last time going here and I don’t recommend this place. On the other hand David’s nails across from here provided me with fast/good service and i always leave very satisfied. I have been going there for so long and had decided to switch it up but I will not make that mistake again.

The first time I got a manicure here I was very pleased with the speediness, quality, and service so I decided to try them again. This second experience still checked off speediness and service but the quality drastically decreased. The primer didnt cure properly so this lead to wrinkling air pockets in my manicure.

4 because they put up with me getting in there less than an hour before close. I was rushing from the other side of town because I dont go anywhere else for my nails to be done. But I feel like my job was extremely rushed. While I like the color I dont really care for how the shaping came out. They looked fine when I was there. Nice and centered but when I got out in the day light, half of my nails were extremely crooked. Ive never had this issue before. I guess thats what I get for going less than hour before closing.

The Man did my service, I asked for the ‘The callus remover pedicure’ they barley touched my heels! I feel like I just got a sloppy polish and pedicure I could of done at home for free!! Not worth $35 so disappointed! 🙄

Love getting the spa pedicure. During sandal season, add the paraffin wax. The spa pedicure consists sea salt/sugar scrub and hot stone massage. Decor is pretty busy and needs a makeover. Theres room for improvement with the techs.

Got both a spa pedicure and full set of acrylic glitter nails. My first time there. Very friendly and did a wonderful job! Ill definitely be going back

Honestly I like this place enough to recommend three friends to go there. I don’t live in Modesto. So I commute to come here. And this last set I got didn’t even last me two days. Two nails broke off when I went to open a door. And when I went to get them fixed again they fixed it at no charge which I has glad for but they also made my finger bleed while they were filing my nail they repaired. The following day my nails were ok. But then again on the second day another nail broke. This is honestly the worst set I’ve had. I guess it really depends on the technician who does your set. My previous nails were amazing. The technician took his time to make them even and all similar. They lasted three weeks but could’ve probably lasted long. I only went for a new set because I don’t like seeing my nail growth underneath the acrylics.

After getting told no and sent away by Davids nails I went across the street to Vanessas nails and I am more than pleased with my nails for my wedding! They both did an amazing job on mine and my bridesmaids nails and also our eyebrows!! Highly recommend! Especially if you want beautiful fancy wedding nails. 😍🌻 thank you so much 😁😍

I did not like this nail salon at all. I went in today to get a set for my graduation tomorrow, she ended up cutting me, was bleeding and didn’t do anything to fix it, it even got all over my nail. She left one of the nails crooked, asked her 3 times to fix it and left it the same, she tried fixing but ended up leaving my nail even shorter and not even. I talked to the owner, she was very rude about it, told me to leave and go to another nail salon. She cut them off and didn’t even bother to take them off fully. NEVER AGAIN GOING TO THIS PLACE!

I went to vanessas nail spa yesterday to fix a broken nail. Since they didnt have the color that I had I changed it. I kept my previous nails, the color and the fixing I got charged 45 dollars. I was like wow okay. So the they guy did my nails I wasnt happy when I walked out but I was like Ill give it a shot. I went through my day hating my nails. I decided to go back and my nails fixed they did it for me. Thats the only reason why they got two stars. While hes is fixing them he is telling me that its basically my fault for not getting the new nails. I dont recommend this place.

I love Vanessa & Kyle the owners. I have been going to Vanessa for over a decade now. Highly recommend!! If anyone else does my nails I break them. I’m very hard on my nails Vanessa knows this and whatever she does my nails stay on for 3 weeks.

Went here today with my nieces to get 3 full sets, a pedicure, and my 2 younger nieces a Manipedi.Came in with about an hour till close and was told they can still do the services.My 2 younger nieces nails were painted sloppy and the design they wanted was not achieved.One of the techs told my 5 year old niece kid chill rudly n fake laughed when caught.My oldest niece had 3 different techs say they were going to do her nails n even glued on her nails and had her sitting around for 40 minutes till finally they said they cant do her service.My other niece had her hands tortured by the male nails tech who was yanking and rough with her and after leaving found out he made her bleed 2x.My pedicure never happened and my nails are different shapes and lengths but was rushed out the door to quickly to fully notice.Worst nail services Ive ever had

I have been going to Vanessas for years and even before they changed owners. I feel that the service was awful. Vanessa did a rush job on me simply because she had another client waiting. Not my fault. She was not paying attention to details at all😡. I also notice that when my nails were finished, she took her time with the next person and was also more personable with them. My nails are crooked and not fully polished and also she did not clean up old polish underneath them. I should give a 1 star but the lady that did my pedicure was way more pleasant. Also, I wouldve given a tip, which I usually do but the tip wouldve been split. I dont think my nails were worthy of a tip. Considering going elsewhere. Thats a shame because the shop is so close to home and I have relationships there!😢

So a few weeks ago I went to Vanessa’s to get a dip powder done on my nails When I went they did not have the color or any color that was close to what I wanted. Eventually they went into the back room and brought some powder/color out which I was happy with. I got my nails done and I was happy with it I was just a little confused it was done differently than I have had it done in the past. But they did a good job and It cost me $35 and five dollars for two nails to have glitter on them. Today I went there to get my nails done again and a lady came to me and asked me why I made an appointment for dip nails 🤔 I was a little confused of what she meant but as I continued to get my nails done . . Just like the last time they filed all the color off which was a dark color brown and took a little longer than she preferred. When I was almost done she told me it was going to cost me $50 and when I asked her why would it cost more when they are doing the same thing as last time just a few weeks ago ?she said well it took her 30 minutes to file off the dark brown. Then she changed it and said well you only have to pay me $45. 😡😡😡 First of all I don’t ever recall having dip nails done like that before... For her to raise the price to $50 when I just had it done a few weeks ago for 35+5 dollars which is 40 😡😡 she just continued to say she made all my nails the same length and she took longer to take off the brown with her Dremel ...I will never go back to that place again. Shame on you for raising your prices to $50 when just a few weeks ago I went and it was 40.

Great pedis! I was a walk in on a Sunday afternoon. They took me right away. $18 for a basic pedi that includes a light leg & foot massage.They have 12 pedi massage chairs & 9 nail stations. Very kind & polite staff. Great work. I will definitely come back!

My girlfriend nails. They took there time and there were not in a rush. She liked how he smooth the edges but was still a little sharp and the quality of the nails were just good. The price is also great only $35 but we just rounded $40 for $5 tip.

ABSOLUTELY NOT PROFESSIONAL right when I walked in they had no gloves on and usually they tell you to wash your hands but here they did not and one of the workers used a napkin as a mask the nails were also lobsided and she left all the nail dust on my hands the cleanliness was 0/10 and no gloves even with this pandemic I would give 0 STARS but I can’t please don’t go here if you expect clean service expect to catch corona here...... and it’s just been a couple days and the nails are already grown out I’m very disappointed in the service I received.

Gel nails chipped the next day. Not very happy with the way they looked, gel was to thick and bubbly.

This is by far the BEST nail salon in the Central Valley. I refuse to go anywhere else because at Vanessa’s they actually care about you and making sure you look and feel good! Everyone there is always so positive, and upbeat. Vanessa’s always goes above and beyond for their customers. Vanessa and Kyle are amazing! The other ladies in the salon are great as well. Ive been coming here a little over a year now and i dont like my nails whenever i end up going anywhere else. Here they treat me great, my nails never lift, and they never break which seems to be such a popular issue with other salons. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Came back to try this place since it has new owners. My experience years ago was horrible but it was different owners. Im pleased to say this experience was great. Vanessa did my nails and she is great. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Great customer service!!!! I will defineately come back when Im in town.

This business had their annual Health Inspection and scored 100% !!!From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome. Your presence is acknowledged. immediately with greetings from several employees. The cleanliness and care taken to uphold a safe, secure environment is very obvious. Here tools are meticulously sanitized between customers. The employees listen to your preferences on nail shape and art and deliver. I highly recommend this business to everyone.

Vanessa is very nice!!! Tan did my nails. He did a good (not great) job on my nails. I didnt like the initial color I picked and told him after he had done just one nail. He said, well, you picked the color. I wanted to get designs/gems on my nails too, but after he spoke rudely to me, I changed my mind. I will not revisit this salon. When you work for the customer, if you care about whether they come back or not, you give EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE, not just OKAY (MEH) service.

Friendly service great people.I started going to Vanessas Nail Spa about two years ago. One of the things I really appreciate is how they treat our seniors: respectful, gracious, and an honest desire to help. I love seeing how the staff will patiently guide/assist a grandmother to one of the seats for her nail care.

I called and ask the price for acrylic fill and color change? they said 30.00 so I go in and he gives me the color wheel and said is this acrylic? he said yes. so I sit down and they start working the guy says is this powder? I said yes. he does his thing and Im thinking no no no. I had one nail not off or really broke but just lefted, he charged me 3.00 for that and then does shellac. and charged me 30.00. so out the door 33.00 and not what I asked for. i even told them this is not what i asked for. so here it is Never again!! P.S. I had acrylic nails in coffin shaped when I walked in.

I have been coming to Vanessa’s Nail for a year. I would make an appointment every time I need to get my nails done. Consistently, the last 3 months I have had to wait about 30-45 minutes. Vanessa would have the nail tech start my nails, then have me wait longer so the nail tech can do someone else’s nails. Lisa and Schen are really good nail techs but it’s too bad that the owner is not fair to her customers. The owner also doesn’t understand the concept of what it means to have an ‘appointment.’

Great service! You can tell they arent worried about the hours spent. I called 30 mins before closing and they took me and a friend right in for 2 manicures and a pedicure. Went to Vanessa’s nails today. Usually I have an amazing experience there but today it was honestly the worse. Went to get a pedi and as I sat down to put my feet in the water I saw steam but didn’t think nothing of it at first being the water usually is pretty warm but that temperature was so unbearable I felt like it was put all the way on high temp. The tech fixed it but it ended up being cold. Then as she was cutting my nails she filed and cut them so short I started bleeding. At least four of my toes on my right side are super tender now and cut really bad to where I have to put bandages on them And two on my left with cuts and tenderness. Worse experience ever. Idk if I really would return there.

My daughter just returned from this “spa” with her eyelids burned from waxing. I don’t know what their problem is but they need to pay more attention because her eyes are all red and swollen and the “artist” hurt her by applying too much wax, and got it on her eyelids she pulled it off. Maybe I can post a picture.

Wont go back...went as a birthday gift for my daughter in law. I did not want the whole spa thing just a simple pedicure and I could have done what I received at home for free. All of these type of places try to pressure you into getting more...and I do not like it when the staff will not speak English.
