We reached out to Sisk Vet roughly a little over a year ago and took our pup in when she wasnt feeling well. We explained to Dr. Singh what we were witnessing and he immediately took her in and ran a few tests. He also ran a few extra to rule out the other options. When the results came back, we found out our dog was born with a birth defect called congenital kidney disease. We were heart broken to find out our baby girl wasnt going to live a full life, but with a kidney diet and weekly fluids, she would live a happy few years.We take her every week and we are always welcomed with respect and cared for right away, even when theyre super busy. They know who our dog is and know exactly how to take care of her. At this point, shes basically their dog and part of their vet family. They all know who she is, how she is, and how to be handled.Due to Covid-19, clients do have to wait outside and wait for their dogs to be taken in and because of Covid-19, they are very busy, so be patient.We are more than happy we reached out to Sisk Vet. Dr. Singh always checks in and asks how shes doing. He never hesitates to run any tests to make sure everything is in order for our girl. The staff are nice, sweet, caring, and love what they do. If you want your pet taken care of, then reach out to Sisk Vet. Your pet will be in good hands.

I was inherited by this doctor when my other vet retired, and he has been excellent. It shows that he cares about the animals, and really knows what hes doing. The office staff are all friendly and very helpful. I have two large dogs and both of them have gone here for about a year. Great place for pets!

I arrived at the facility anticipating getting my puppies their first shot I had a 3 o’clock appointment the receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional telling us that we can leave the puppies in a cage in their lobby,, then in a unprofessional demeanor telling us to go sit in our vehicles outside,, it was extremely clear from the moment we walked in to the facility that the receptionist did not want to deal with us as customers,,, this was the worst experience I have ever had with any company,,, I highly recommend anyone who reads this post not to do business with this veterinary hospital they’re too unprofessional. After our experience with this facility we research and discovered several negative reviews from previous customers someone should go after their license through the state of California and through the local city of Modesto.

I don’t have the right words to describe how amazing they treated me and my kitten, they all have a really big heart for caring for what we lost in our lives today. WORST practice, dont take here unless you want to loose your puppy.I took my puppy in Tuesday AM kept her there until Friday, evening Dr Singh and the other DR are not on the same page at all.I just spent $1,500.00 and the DR has no remorse laughing over the phone. They failed to mention that my puppy might have a liver issue after they did 2nd blood work they stated :the results are going down: never stated they would need to be redone or we need to watch the levels for potential future issues.I decided to keep her instead of the breeder taking her back. They just keep running me back and forth. they allowed my dog to come home Friday knowing her liver levels were still high.I have now put my kiddos through emotional stress after keeping my dog in their care for dour days.The only amazing worker here is Marrisa, she is friendly, attentive, and informational. Any other vet hospital would be lucky to have her.

Got a puppy and had her examined. They had us wait in the car while they examined her, and came back out within minutes with my puppy.Curiously I asked for some sort of paperwork explaining what they did since I probably wouldnt remember since were still excited about the puppy and I was told that they dont give paperwork after an examination, even though I just paid for it. ​This made me curious so I asked what they did since they didnt want to tell me in writing what they just performed and the receptionist explained that they looked at her but couldnt give me details.I asked to speak with the vet so I can get an understanding of what they did and it felt like I was asking for an inconvenient favor.The vet did call and the response I got was that my puppy is healthy and there isnt anything they give us thats like an itemization on what they do, they only give recipts.I explained that even if I go for an oil change they explain what they do but the vet was firm in her response that they dont.I WONT BE COMING BACK. Think about it, if theyre this standoffish about a simple examination then what would the experience be like with a more serious matter?Response 7/14Not true in the slightest. I was explicitly told by the Vet and the Assistant that no such reports exist and that nothing like that would be provided. You have my information, send it to me via mail and Ill gladly update this review.I refuse a discount and I refuse a refund, Ive gladly taken my business elsewhere.Immediately after her visit with you guys my pup got sick so I took her to Central Valley Pet Hospital in Manteca.Ive attached a picture of the recipt of what was done.Shes now much healthier, gaining weight and her behavior is improving (Thanks for asking).I never intended to bring this up, let alone publicly, but your misunderstanding of what occured and your public accusation of misrepresentation on my part has led up to this.

The Dr and Staff were awesome responding back to the questions I had before making an appt. I Had my dog neutered here in November on a Saturday which is convenient for those that dont have the time during the week. The staff was very professional and friendly. They took very good care of my baby he recovered very quickly and is doing great up to this date. They even clipped his gnarly nails while he was under their care. 5 STARS; highly recommend.All last week my family and I were devastated, feeling it was time for a Quality of life check for our 16 year old chihuahua. She had all the signs you can possibly think of. Today I brought jenji home crying HAPPY tears. Dr Singh and his attentive staff SAVED her health, once again. It turned out she had a very bad bacterial infection in her teeth and gums. All Is Well! I can’t imagine if we went somewhere where they didn’t look at every single cause, before giving an ok to Euthanize. We are so happy to have our family dog home and doing well. Dr Singh and his staff are every well educated, attentive and have great manners and care towards not only us but our pets. I was worried about the bill but I feel that the fees were more than Fair!! I’m so happy he did the tests he did to help find jenji a healthier way of life. Thank you Dr Singh & Staff .

Thankful for Dr Singh and the assistants here. Our cat was never fixed and about 4 & 1/2 years later our cats uterus got infected. It started off as more timid behavior and always laying around and eventually had lost all appetite and was vomiting. Constantly cleaning herself and we noticed she was leaking. We were very worried bc she stopped eating and drinking all together. Brought her in to get her uturus extracted bc the infection was to far gone. Dr Singh and his assistants have completely turned her around. She has been getting better and better everyday. Now she’s eating on her own and starting to look and act like her old self again. So thankful for this place would definitely recommend 👍🏼👍🏼

I posted a pic of my call log to show that I DID NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE DAY to call and ask you to see my puppy. I called just a little over an hour after my first call. I called the first time and your receptionist NEVER told me i could take my pet in. I was told u were not gonna change it but after asking multiple times, i was told you could change it but you were gonna charge me about $400. I said the price was too high (which is true bc i take my pet to get his cast changed and the vet charges me $32 ONLY!!!) but anyways, i called a little over an hour after, @10:52am WHICH IS an hour and 52 minutes after you open (does not sound like the end of the day for me?) to ask u to see him and i was told u were not gonna see him that day and i had to wait until Monday.Also, i was never told by you that i should take him to a specialist!!! All you told me over the phone was that he had 4 fractured bones and that i was able to go pick him up after 30 minutes when you were done putting the cast on.Also, thank you for taking time out of your very busy day to comment back to my review. And thanks for your honesty dr. im glad my puppy is seeing a different vet now, one that actually cares.Original review:I would give this place zero starts if i could! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL DOCTOR. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PETS. All he cares about is the money. Im not one to post bad reviews about anyone, but when it comes to my family/pet’s health, i do not hesitate. My puppy has a VERY BAD infection now because of the way this doc put the cast on him. I called sisk vet to let them know that the cast was smelling bad and that i wanted to take my pup in to get it checked and change the cast. They REFUSED to take him in even after i mentioned that the cast was smelling very bad. I ended up taking him to an emergency clinic and we stayed there for hours because they were having a hard time taking the cast off (because of the way the doc at sisk vet put it on- the cast and everything was STUCK on my puppy’s skin) my puppy had to go thru a small surgery for them to be able to take the cast off. After doing so, they found out that my puppy had A REALLY BAD infection and a sore on the elbow. Now i have to rake my puppy to the emergency everyday so they can check on the infection area and change his bandage daily. He is not feeling well at all and im so worried about his health. After calling sisk vet to tell them about what happened, the doc was very rude and basically told me that infections always happen when casts are put on dogs( which is something that could have been easily avoided if he actually wanted my pet to be back weekly to check the cast and everything) . So he didnt take responsibility for anything and was not worried at all. PLEASE dont take ur pet to him, all he cares about is money, nothing else. He is very rude too.

Only in it for the money not good for animals everytime I took mine there they would always give my animals back before any anesthetic wore off and the vet overlooked a cancerous tumor in my dog glad I switched to a vet that actually cares and knows what theyre doing

I drove all of the way from Alameda (1.5 hour drive each way) to see Dr. Singh. He is the best vet I have ever met. Kind, compassionate, thorough (incredibly thorough- my cat was missing vaccines I didnt even know about) and the price is the best around. He obviously really cares about animals and wants to keep them healthy and happy. They allowed me to pick up my cat after his surgery later in the day to accommodate my work schedule.Thank you Dr. Singh!

If you are looking for a Veterinary Hospital that goes beyond what is expected than look no further. The care and compassion of Dr. Singh and his staff is A++++++. Living in Modesto there are several other Veterinary Hospitals to choose from, but I will drive across town because it is well worth it! I only leave my fur babies in the best hands possible. I do have a complete checklist in what I require when it comes to taking care of my fur babies. Heck, you might as well get a fingerprints and FBI background check because this fur mama doesnt mess around!! Dr. Singh is not in the business just to make a quick buck. He truly cares and will take the time to answer any questions without brushing you off. The prices are very reasonable and they even have a wellness plan that includes so many services that it pays for itself five times over. Dr. Singh...I cant EVER imagine another vet to EVER touch my beloved fur babies.He has been a part of my family for the past 16 years. We have had him look at every pet my family and myself have had. The pure compassion and devotion to his work is not comparable to anywhere else. He treats our pets as if they were his own.I recently had my 16 year old Lab Mix pass away. He shared the same amount of sorrow my family and I had. We love our dogs and they are cherished members of our family. We have lived in the area for many years and have gone to several vets in town searching for one that would be a good fit for our pups. We finally found one! Dr. Singh and his staff are the best of the best! He is so thorough, without going overboard, has such a caring demeanor, and is extremely knowledgable. He has cared for our pets as we have gone with them through allergies, skin conditions, blindness, emergency surgery, and even when one of our dear ones crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. In every situation Dr. Singh and his staff have been a Godsend. I am the type of pet mom that asks a TON of questions and he always patiently answers and explains everything. Also, you can tell the rapport between he and his staff is excellent. They treat each other with kindness and seem to be happy to work together. Took my 12 year old tiny doggo because shes having a hard time breathing. The vet knew exactly what meds she needed but it came with a 500.00 tag. If I had the money I wouldnt even care but I dont and I asked him can he do a little better on the price and as soon as he knew I couldnt afford hes xrays and blood work he was done. Back in the days vetnarians loved animals and would help but times have changed and people are just garbage and greedy.

Very thorough, caring and humble Vet. Dr. Singh is always the first one to give your pet the absolute best care he can. I had the pleasure of working for him for about a year and during my employment with him he never ceased to impress me with his diverse and very expanded skill set. Moreover, his humility to be honest with everyone he comes into contact with will also impress you. Rather than saying that he knew something or was sure of something that he was not, I watched him take the honest approach and research any information he needed until he was. I also can assure you that he will provide your pets with the outmost care. This place is awesome! They were open Memorial Day when my dogs got into a fight and I needed to bring my pup in immediately somewhere! Everyone here is just so nice and down to earth. The Vet is amazing, he kept it real with us and you could tell he was truly interested in my dogs wellbeing. Our regular vet is a lot closer but Im going to bring my dogs here from now on because I trust this place so much.

I have 11 dogs on file at this vet. Yes you read that right eleven. I always get the best care there and Dr Singh is great. He always helps me when I need him! Today my momma pup licked the sutures off of one of my litter pups and he took her back and stitched her back up with out an appointment!

Simply put: he saved my cats life. He is very kind, straightforward, easy to talk and goes above and beyond. Short of making house calls (idea!), Dr Singh and his star are AMAZING!!!!

Dr. Singh and his staff are nice, but his facility is almost too small for dogs like my dog to be taken care of because when I took my dog there to get three shots, we waited for a half an hour for the doctor to check on my dog. They were restraining my dog, putting a muzzle on my dog, and when they found that my dog has an ear infection on his left ear, he suggested that my dog should be sedated and put ear tubes on it. I definitely disagree with this treatment because this is not appropriate for my dog. So, I found solutions for my dog’s ear infection by myself. Anyway, at least my dog got vaccinated for him to go to the hotel. I don’t trust Sisk Vet anymore because the doctor gave me an unnecessary treatment of my dog’s ear infection and they were restraining him instead of allowing me to give him a calming tablet. I’m going to boycott this veterinary hospital and move to another vet because this is not a safe place for Australian Shepherds to get treatment.

One of my cats got sick and needed surgery in December. Dr. Singh was willing to work with us financially due to the unexpected expense around the holidays. He and the staff are really great and I would highly recommend them. Thanks again for saving his life.

They kept trying to convince me to do treatments my cat didnt need. They told me they wouldnt put her under them changed their minds and did without asking me if I had the money for that. For a nail trim it cost me 100 dollars.

This is my second review that I have made. I want everyone to read about my experience. Veterinarian Dr.Singh had come to my new 3 month old Chihuahua mix rescue. Raven got injued and her right eye had to be removed. Once again I called around for prices. Im unemployed with a limited income. He was the only one who offered to spay her and while she is under anesthesia, remove the eyeIt ended up being cheaper this way . I am a die hard pet lover so I know when a person truly cares about animals. Thanks for working with me on this. If youre interested I also wrote a review. About my 15 year old Chihuahua, that he literally saved her live by operating her from piometria. (Infection in her uterus) so I highly recommend getting your pet spayed and neutered take them to see Dr Singh if you live in Modesto California. Heck go there even if you dont live in Modesto it will most likely be cheaper even if you have to drive a little.!! Anything for our right know that you will have your dog or cat for 15 years plus or minus a few, so take care of them when they are Young to avoid expensive surgerys that could of been prevented. My dog needed a mass removal and Dr. Singh and his team were so helpful, informative and made me feel very comfortable when I took my BooBoo in. My little chihuahua mix is fully recovered and Im so thankful for everything they did. Dr. Singh told me everything i had to know about the mass that grew, how to prevent, what to do and just gave me so much information that was very understanding.I use to take my dog to American Pet Hospital, the drs would never inform me about anything. They would just say he needs surgery and when I would ask questions, they would look at me like Im stupid or something. Never going back to them. Angela the tech was an especially great cat whisperer with my cat who gets especially grumpy during vet visits. Dr. Singh was very kind and efficient. He even called the next day for follow up and test results.

I had just moved to Modesto in the last month and one of my cats was pawing at the side of her face and one of her eyes was starting to droop. I became very afraid and I looked for Fox tails (we have a lot here) but I couldnt see anything.I had no idea how to even choose a new veterinarian, as I had used the same vet where I used to live for 30 years. I went on and I started reading the really positive reviews about Siske veterinary hospital, so even though some of my neighbors recommended another hospital I took my cat, Sprout in.The staff was so kind and understanding and they got me and the very next day at 10 oclock in the morning. They were welcoming and warm, I felt really good just walking in. The Dr. was very professional and knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable in leaving my Fur baby with him. He had to take a biopsy and remove a mass and since she was out he even had her teeth cleaned.I went and picked her up a few hours later and she has recovered nicely, the biopsy results came back clear!I feel very lucky that I listened to the reviews and chose this team to care for my pets. Whew!! Thanks SVH!

My cat princess was bitten by a dog.. The Vet and the nurses have done an amazing job taking care of her.. they have gone above and beyond for our pet and our family.. she has been there for 3 weeks recovering and they treat her like one of there own..

I have brought all of my animals to Dr. Singh for care for the past 16 years, from vaccinations and annual check ups to cancer support treatment and spleen removal. Dr. Singh and his wonderful staff have always treated me and my pets like family and I know that they are handled with love, respect and care every time! I have always been able to trust Dr. Singhs expert advice and treatment options and I know that he does everything in his power to keep the costs as low as possible while still doing everything that the animal needs. They never really told me what was wrong and said all of the tests they did were normal. They gave me antibiotics to give her bc I think she licked flee medicine n had blood in her pee and seemed like she had a uti.. Im still not sure what a really wrong

Anyone who has a pet for 10 plus years knows how important an animal is to the family. We moved to Salida 2 years ago and were looking for a good vet to take Legend, our Doberman Shepherd mix. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I knew that I wanted to take him to Sisk Veterinary Hospital to get him established. However, life gets away with you and things dont always happen like they should. I had noticed a couple of lumps developing on Legend.... one on his tail and one one his hock. The one on his tail got so big and bothersome to him that he agitated it to the point of making it bleed. I realized that something had to be done. So last weekend, my husband and I were grocery shopping and I told him on the way home to stop in at Sisk Veterinary Hospital so I could talk to them directly and see what could be done. They were busy (as to be expected on a Saturday morning) So as I was standing there, a gentleman came up and asked me if I had been helped yet. I asked him if he was Dr. Singh (because I read so many good reviews about this man, I wanted him to see my dog!) When he told me he was, I breathed a sigh of relief. I told him the me nature of Legends problem and he asked me if I could bring him in right away. I told him I could, so I went home, put the perishable groceries away and grabbed my dog. We took him in and they immediately took Legend back and started assesing him. Dr. Sing a me in and gave me my options, but recommended taking the tumors off and sending them for evaluation. I agreed. It was hard to leave him there because it was his first time being separated from us, so I was very emotional, but I knew in my heart he was In the best care I could have given him. The surgery was preformed and Legend was brought home to recover. We are 6 days post op. I got a phone call tonight from Dr. Singh himself to give me the news that one of the 2 lumps was indeed cancerous but he was confident that he got all of the mass and that everything would be alright. I cant tell you how much this put my mind at ease. I have taken pets to other veterinary clinics, but let me tell you.... They all are not the same. Sick Veterinary Clinic goes above and beyond to do what is right for your pet and they REALLY care. Please believe me when I say, you CAN trust these people with your pets lives. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL TO Dr. Sing and his wonderful staff for giving my Legend the proper care and doing what needed to be done for his health. I am a FOREVER fan!

I would never do business with this butcher again. This place is about the money not about the care of my animal. Their prices are outrageous. I went there with a coupon for a free neuter on my pit mix, when I went to pick up my dog they charged me $180.00. They are a rip off

My main issue with this place was I specifically said Im on a tight budget and when I came to pick up my dog the total was $100 more than previously talked about

Convenient location

Dr. Singh and his staff do a great job. I was a client back when he was with Banfield, after he left I stayed with Banfield for a while, but I got frustrated that every time I went in to Banfield it was a new vet who seemed like they had just gotten out of vet school. Dr. Singh is very responsive and supportive in his care.

When you dont have a lot of money they work with you

On a Sunday morning, my beloved 10 year old dog suddenly began showing major symptoms of gastric torsion, which is one of the most extreme medical emergencies known for dogs. Time is of the essences, as death can come very quickly. I rushed her to Sisk Veterinary Hospital, where Dr. Singh immediately took an x-ray confirming gastric torsion. He began administering IV fluids to stabilize her before beginning emergency surgery. He told me that she most likely had a 50 / 50 chance of surviving surgery, and the follow up care would be very risky, and it might take days to recover. My dog was in very bad shape and I was expecting the worst. I cant even begin to express how thankful I was when Dr. Singh called later that day to let me know that she was alive and well. He was able to rotate her stomach back into alignment and then removed her spleen. He also performed a gastropexy, to help prevent any future gastric torsion. He told me that she could come home later that day. When I returned to the veterinary hospital to get my dog, Dr. Singh thoroughly explained everything to me. He showed me the surgical equipment that he used on her and even showed me her spleen. He spent a great deal of time answering all of my questions, as well as my families questions. Never once did we feel rushed. I would like to emphasize how extremely polite, professional, and kind hearted Dr. Singh was, as well as the other veterinary staff. Dr. Singh asked me to bring her back the following morning for a follow up visit. When I returned Dr. Singh had the biggest smile on his face when he saw how well my dog was doing. I could tell how genuinely he, and his staff members, cared about my dog. Dr. Singhs office called twice the next day to see how my dog was doing. I would also like to say that the price Dr. Singh charged me was exactly how much he had previously estimated. There were no hidden fees or surprises. This veterinary hospital saved my beloved dogs life in a dire emergency and I am forever grateful.

Just moved to Modesto and looked for a Vet. He is amazing and the staff are so sweet too. Couldnt of picked a better place to take our dog Max.
