Autumn did a colorful balayage on me and I am SO happy with it. I felt completely comfortable with her - wasnt worried at all that I wouldnt like the results. Tara and Autumn are both laid back and make a nice chill environment in the salon. Ill definitely be back again!

Went in for a consultation. They were very thorough and helpful in their recommendation. Very kind and thoughtful, not just interested in selling me products, but really took the time to actually inform me on products and teach me about techniques to better care for my hair personally. I could not have been more pleased and will definitely be going back for all of my future hair care needs. Excellent establishment!

Wanted my hair cut short with only one reference photo. She did an amazing job improvising and gave me the style I wanted that did the most for my hair type. She then showed me how to style it and recommended some of her products. The salon itself was super cute too with lots of antique decorations!

I am so grateful for this salon! They exceeded my expectations. The service they provided me and my mom was exceptional! From me asking them for a same day appointment( note: I called 20+ salon and this was the only salon who really tried to accommodate us) to working really hard to get the color I wanted and the end result was mind blowing. Mary was amazing! When she found out that I’m getting married in a week, she really worked so hard to help me get the style I wanted and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Tara, the business owner, helped my mom with her hair on her short break in between clients just to accommodate her need, I’m talking about top notch service here! She’s the kind of boss I would definitely work for. Needless to say I wouldn’t mind an hour drive from Gulf Shores to Mobile to get my hair done because I will definitely come back to this salon! I paid 250 for a cut and ombre that barely lifted, fried my hair, and had straight lines across instead of a true ombre... for barely 4 inches of hair to be processed and to not be satisfied is a big bummer at that price. Not to mention I got there on time but kept having my appointment pushed back due to over booking issue. The stylist was very friendly though and my hair cut was cute so at least theres that... I had to correct my color at home.

I had a wonderful experience! I was in and out quickly without a compromise in quality. Tara and her trainee were very helpful in helping me decide on what kind of cut I wanted based on my hair type and I could not be happier with the results! The location is super cute too! The lady who did mine and my mothers hair, mery..was the only person working which is understandable..we came in for highlights and ended up just getting a simple hair cut. Throughout the whole time we were getting hair cuts she would try and get us to buy some hair products after we said we might come back later and look. It finally got annoying after the 7th time of her trying to get us to buy every hair product y’all own. When getting my hair cut she Asked me if I wanted to get it washed and blowed dryed and I said no because I figured it would cost more but then at the end when we were getting ready to pay she was like “so it will be $44 for each of you and that came with a hair cut and a wash” which we did not know. She never said it came with it, she just asked.

I love this salon. I felt very comfortable being there and the patience that was expressed. I know inhadnt had my haircut in 3 years but Ms. Mary did such a wonderful job. I plan to continue to go here for my hair needs and plan to being my girls also. The prices were absolutely perfect. Love, love.

I absolutely destroyed my hair with bleach, and Jessica got me fixed up in miracle timing. She was super nice and coached me on what steps to take and products to use on my hair so that it grows back healthier. Will definitely be returning!

Autumn has done about three sessions of highlights on me. The first thing I was asked was, what is my ultimate goal. Tara and her took what I wanted to achieve and have not disappointed me. I have v dark thick hair, I wanted to highlight until I could safely get all over lighter hair. My hair has maintained health throughout this entire process. Bad cut and color, will not be returning. Update 1/30/21: after 4 shampoos, the color Tara put in my hair has lightened 2 shades. I was told this was a permanent hair color, what a sham. After 4 more shampoos there will be no color left. I paid $90 for this color, my hair has been dry and frizzy since she colored it. Very poor quality

This was my first visit. I went for highlights and a haircut. Autumn did my highlights, and I didn’t realize how wrong every other stylist had been doing my foils! She was so precise that I have no visible lines, and she foiled it to match the way my hair parted and moved. The color turned out beautiful, and I left looking like a natural blonde. Autumn was super sweet, down to earth, and had amazing attention to detail. Tara did my haircut, and she addressed issues that I’ve had forever - movement in fine hair. I made another appointment before I left!

Had my hair cut very short today by Christina Jenkins and man do I love it. She did a fantastic job and gave me exactly what I asked for....not often anyone can say this about a service rendered! I loved the atmosphere of this shop as well.

I have had bangs for most of my life and I’ve had my hair cut in upscale places in Dallas, San Francisco even Italy and I have to say Christina has given me one of the best haircuts I have ever had especially my bangs, I didn’t even know that you could have them look like they were in your eyes but not feel like it! I don’t know what that other review was talking about. Since moving here it has taken me 10 years to find somebody that could cut my hair in a way that I liked ie that looked good and the bar was high. Finally I found her and I could not be happier. Christina is a professional and knowledgeable stylist who listens to you even if you’re not quite sure of which way you want to go with the services that your getting. She did a Super job on my hair and I am very critical of it, being a stylist myself I can sometimes be overly picky, but that’s just me.. it’s saying a lot if you’ve made me happy and she did just that! And I love the products they use.. they’re great on your hair!!

Worst haircut I’ve ever had, I left in tears. I asked for straight bangs and even provided a picture of myself with them. My stylist asked me how long I wanted them; above, below or mid-brow. She ended up doing this weird curved rainbow shape after I asked specifically for straight bangs. The middle was very very short and sides much longer. The owner came over to help she cut them straight and it helped but they’re so so short! I’m so upset. They discounted the price but a discounted price is going to help me feel better about the way I look till this grows out. The first picture is a picture of me the one I provided them and the second is the picture after my haircut.Won’t let me reply so I edited. I tried to write an honest fair review but you want to make excuses. She did absolutely not go “inch by inch” she turned me around and it was that short. Yes most people would have started long. Cause you can always cut and can’t add but that’s not what happened today. Either way I said eyebrow length and it ended up being well above my brows.

She even spent a lot of time talking with me and going over different options for possible styles/cuts before she actually cut my hair. I had my first experience with TMACs today. My stylist was Lauren, and she was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Unlike other salons Ive been to, she didnt pressure me into getting services or products that I wasnt interested in. She listened to my needs (low maintenance, wash-and-go style) and executed my haircut beautifully. I love my new cut! If you are looking for a new salon or stylist, definitely try TMACs. Their prices are very reasonable, and the salon is casual and inviting.

I have been getting my haircut by Tara and her staff for 3 years now. I continue to be more and more impressed with the business and its owner. Salons are a dime a dozen and to find someone with character, skill and talent who is also a really good, honest, kind person, is rare! But exists...actually in 2 different locations. Every time I come in, I leave feeling refreshed and beautiful. We have the best conversations while I am getting my hair done because she is just a special person. Best hair cut experience i have ever had. Great staff and the owner (Tara) who cut my hair was awesome. Tara is very knowledgeable, gave me good tips on my hair, and was very friendly. Went there for a mens cut, it was my first time there. Was running late for my evening appointment and was the last customer for them but they still waited for me and kept their place open. Thanks for a great cut.

Lauren was easy to talk to and gave me exactly what I was looking for! A couple of weeks later and my hair is noticeably smoother, healthier, and more manageable! I loved the products she used and had such a great time at the salon overall.

One of my girlfriends got her hair done here & it looked great so I tried it. The first time Tori was overbooked & she rushed through my haircut & instead of a bob I got some jagged edge mishap. She said I could comeback sometime & shed fix it. She did apologize a lot, she seemed very frazzled at the time so I thought I would try again. Id seen & heard such great things. The next appointment I set for a color & haircut, they booked me with the wrong girl and Im telling you I was definitely specific when I set the appointment. I took off from work for this appointment. I was so disappointed. I expected such great things from this place and ended up with THE WORST SERVICE EVER TWICE! I am now telling all my friends & co-workers & clubs with which I am affiliated, I advise if you want half way decent service, dont go there. So unprofessional. Waste of time.

Ive always been cautious of trying a new style with my hair considering its texture and multiple issues but Tara made it look amazing! It turned out better than what I hoped for;they really know what theyre doing. Very satisfied!

After moving to Mobile for school, I had no idea where to go for a hair cut. After checking the reviews, TMAC seemed to be the best option, and it was. Lauren gave me a fantastic undercut and worked with me every step of the way, especially being cautious not to take too much off at once. Overall, it has been the best experience Ive had at a salon, and so affordable that I can come back every month to properly take care of this haircut (even on a college budget.) If youre looking for a new place to go, definitely give this place a shot!

I found TMACs on Yelp when I first moved to Mobile about a year and a half ago. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Lauren is a great stylist who really listens to what you want in your cut or color. I have been very pleased with my experiences here. I went in to get a partial highlight and cut. I LOVED the atmosphere and the all organic products. Cassandra did my hair and she did a wonderful job while keeping me entertained for the length of the appointment. She lifted my very dull yellow blonde to a beautiful light ash blonde. I am a bit phobic about having my hair cut! I have weirdo wavy/curly hair, which loves to straighten/curl at strange times and I have truly had some TERRIBLE haircuts. It particularly looks meek and straight when its wet and styled at the hairdressers, then goes all short and wacky when I get home and wash it. I also have been growing it long for years, and its mid back now. You long haired ladies will know that fear- Im just taking half an inch! and then somehow six inches are gone! Nightmares!Anyway, I warned Tori about it, and she cut it dry(bless her!) and somehow, I didnt lose any length! The dead ends are all gone and it feels all happy and healthy again, and it is just what I wanted! She is my hair soulmate and if only I lived in Mobile, I would trust TMACs with my hair all the time! Tori really got my fears and she did what I thought was impossible. I AM AMAZED!

Wonderful experience at TMAC. My stylist was Anna and she did a perfect job coloring and cutting my hair. My sister just had her hair highlighted and cut by Lauren and her color and cut look amazing. Both our colors look so natural not overprocessed. Great atmosphere as well. Everyone is extremely friendly and price is reasonable.

So I was expecting to get an all over color because I purchased a Groupon however because my hair had been previously colored black and I was going for a burgundy they said that they would have to strip my hair then add the color. I got highlights, all over color, and a trim and they had to mix additional color so my total was like $210. I wasnt expecting to pay that much, my hair was the color I wanted but it was hard to see because it only covered a small amount of my hair, and since she only blew my hair out it was very frizzy when I got home because Im natural. Needless to say, I was disappointed that night.Then the next day I looked at the back in the light and saw that some of the highlights didnt take the burgundy color. I then called my stylist the next day and told her that the burgundy didnt take well on some of the highlights and that I needed a little more hair off. I went back the next day and she did an amazing job! She saw the parts that didnt take very well and added the color, gave me a great hair cut, then flat ironed my hair and got it super straight. I now feel like my money was very worth spending. I will definitely see Lauren again. She is so nice and patient. She is very knowledgeable and takes pride in her art. They are a little pricy but I think its worth it.

I visited this place last week and the place is very nice the people are very nice but the person who colored my hair Christina she has a very nice personality but she did not know what she was doing with my hair. I was very disappointed with the whole process. I purchased a Groupon and on the Groupon it says haircolor deep conditioning, wash and dry but Once you get to the salon the Groupon only covers one ounce of hair color and you have to purchase the rest I have a lots of hair and my total bill was $78 for the Groupon plus $256 extra for the hair color and Christina did not know how to properly blow dry hair. I think that the owner needs to disclose more details on their Groupon Or at least disclose these details when you call for an appointment. I will not be returning to this place or recommending any of my friends or families to go there. Over all the service sucked for the price that paid!

I bought a groupon for partial and cut. Called salon and made appointment with Amanda. I was 15 minutes late as Im new to area. I knew I was going to have a bad experience because starting with consultation, I said I need to be processed to platinum (not a head full of platinum) and she told me she could not guarantee that then proceeded to give the most painful neck and head massage. I sat in her chair and she left bleach on my head for 5 hours total. I had to speak up after 4 hours that it has been too long to have bleach on my head to which she just rinsed through the oldest foils which doesnt stop the chemical process, just made it wet and get on my scalp. After I had all foils taken out and washed, I refused to let her touch my hair any further. The owner, Tara, was very kind and offered to make it right and I asked if she would cut my hair another day as after 5 hours and a burning scalp, I had enough. Tara told Amanda to send me an email for a cut with Tara later to which I have not received and I am sure I will not. How did this Amanda get her license if she is too stupid to know you cant leave bleach on someones head for that long?? I asked questions the whole time I was concerned and in her chair and everytime I was told to just relax and enjoy the salon experience. This was exactly what I did not want done to my hair and the worst salon experience I have ever had. I am sure this salon is great if ANYONE else but Amanda does your hair. I didnt even get what I paid for but again, I refused to let this person make a mess of my hair any further.

SOOO pleased! After my stylist moved to Birmingham I waited months to get my hair cut because I just didnt want to try anyone new. I finally gave in and went to TMacs because I had heard great things and it was close to my home and work. We started with a pretty normal (for me) style - something consistent with what I had been getting. I brought photos of my hair & how I wanted it to look and the result was AMAZING! Zara did an amazing job. I was SO pleased! So this time, I thought I would get adventurous and we cut it SHORT! Like one inch in the back! The cut was great, but apparently, unbeknownst to me, my hair close to my scalp is BROWN and Im a BLONDE (or at least I was) !! I freaked out a little... and after 2 hours of freaking out I called Zara and asked for her first available color appt. She got me in quickly and did the most amazing color job ever! It is so pretty! I have all over color and highlights on top and between the cut and the color my hair has so much dimension and movement and just looks amazing! I am SO pleased with TMacs and Zara!!! I cant say enough good things about her! Great personality and wonderful skills! So happy!
