This barber shop has 1 or 2 good barbers left. There was a barber named Sweat. He was the best barber this barbershop had. The guy on the end; near the door was pretty good, however, he was partial to a few customers. The African or Caribbean guy was okay but he talked so much and took too long to complete a haircut. Sweat was the best and I sensed jealousy from some barbers who had no business cutting hair. The aforementioned barbers excluded as they were pretty decent barbers. The guy I perceived as the owner seemed to be partial to his old head customers, as well as a barber he may have been related to as the guy has no business cutting hair. He spent more time talking about being a referee. I will never go to that shop again; that is unless Sweat comes back.

Its ok. The older gentleman who I perceived to be the owner seems nice and likely takes pride in his relationships and work. However its probably near impossible to get barbers with the same enthusiasm/ professionalism anymore which is why I will chalk my experience up to the latter. I will leave out the salient details of my experience to not embarrass the particular barber; however, I will say this If a customer pays a premium price for a service and you do not render said service, you should either 1) comp the service or 2) discount the service. See the issue is not the initial money since you will receive that; it is the subsequent patronage of the business and reputation that is important. When you fail to satisfy the customer in lieu of lining your pocket you are taking a short term gratification over a long time customer. Now let me break it down in terms you may understand.Runnin hustles on your customers is bad for business. Servin bad product wont keep them comin back.

My time at Scotts has always been a good one. Been going there for the last 16yrs and no other shop can cut like them. As far as the other barbers it is more like a family and I appreciate that, so I will always turn to Scotts for a clean cut. Last, people on the street have come up to me asking who have cut my hair, and if my hair is covered certain people ask me to take off my hat so they can see how hair is cut, so Scotts is a very good place for a haircut. The big boss man (Mr.Scott ) is a cool person and anyone would be blessed to get to know him.
