Budget Missoula canceled my reservation at the last moment also. I reserved on 05/10/2021 to get ahead of the moving crunch. One week before making cross country move, I get email reservation canceled. Did I ever get scammed and screwed by Budget. Employee at Missoula said not their problem, call Budget Customer Service. Customer service says they dont manage local inventory, Call Missoula. Its all about getting as much money as they can. Reservation and customer service dont matter., regardless what a terrible situation it put me and my family in. I would never recommend Budget to anyone ever again.

We made a move from Missouri to Washington. The closet drop off spot was Missoula, MT (almost 4 hour drive just to drop the truck off) the man at the Missouri location told us that we could drop it off after hours we just had to call when we were almost there so they could open the gate. We did so about 20 minutes out and we were told there we no after hour drop offs allowed. Since we had already driven almost 4 hours and was initially told we could drop it off we parked it out front and hit the keys inside of the vehicle to prevent anyone finding them. We then got a call from a VERY irate employee saying that he was going to charge us extra since we didn’t use the drop box for the keys. The next morning, I was charged $85.40 for them not communicating properly and telling us to do 3 different things. He proceeded to yell and hang up the phone on my husband. I am calling their corporate first thing in the morning to file a complaint. Will literally NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!

We did reservations almost 1.5 month prior to move. They canceled one week before the date, because of high demand, how they explained. It is mean, that they can make more money on other reservations, by canceling our. Stay away from this business and you would save money and time.

Absolutely scary company. Sent me out with a truck that had NO BRAKE CALIPERS!!!! the truck would not stop with an empty load! This company sends you out with dangerous equipment and then proceeds to screw you around to the point your pulling hair. Be smart and safe and say NO TO BUDGET! HORRIBLE COMPANY AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.*******ABSOLUTE GARBAGE*******

Made our Budget Truck reservation for 8am pick up. Opening employee was 5 mins late. We still gave her time to open before we went inside. Opening employee had a very foul additude and told us we had to wait until after 830am to pick up. When she was called on being late herself she gave every excuse possible. We asked why we werent notified about the delayed pickup as we made our reservation weeks in advance. Apparently their system is so old they dont get notifications of truck rentals in advance and couldnt inform us of the delay. Reserved an autohauler and they didnt have one for us. The one they had on site was broken and wouldnt have another one until noon. I decided trying to get a better deal wasnt worth this frustration so I went to uhaul. Was informed next time to call uhaul and they will price match and Ill get the service I deserve.

Poor overall customer service and internal communication. First truck broke down, about 1/3 the way into our journey, and we had to wait 4 1/2 hours in sweltering heat before they came to tow it to the nearest contracted garage. It took them 6 days to get around to getting the truck repaired, during which time they supposedly repaired the water pump, and noted on the repair report that there was a leak in the radiator and didnt advise us of the problem when we went to pick up the truck from the shop. After the truck shut down again, the shop told us to add water to the radiator, which was a yellow flag!! The truck had shut down again due to a lack of radiator fluid!!After many frustrating hours of being on the phone with them and being given the run around, we finally stumbled on someone who knew what was supposed to have been done in the first place, and made arrangements to procure a replacement truck and the replacement truck came late the evening of the 6th day, and was swapped out by a congenial team of workers contracted by Budget, that got the job done in 2 hours, (by 9pm) when the replacement truck finally arrived. We were able to leave for our initial destination by Wednesday morning exactly a week later!!!Very frustrating and exasperating experience!!
