Dropped off and engine to be repaired.They looked at it in the timeframe they promised. Turns out, its not going to be fixable. They are going to get it recycled for me.Good service!
I took my Stihl saw to these folks, since it is fairly new, bought from Ace, and not working properly. Jason looked at it immediately and figured out what the problem was, which was really that I was continuously floodinging it each time I tried to start. Jason was professional, funny, knowledgeable, and helpful. I appreciate that he looked at it right away and knew what was wrong and fixed it, all at no charge! Thank you, Jason!!!

I purchased A saw from Power Pros in the fall of 2019. It went unused through the winter until a needed to use it this spring to clear some minor winter dead fall. I went to use the saw and it would only cut through pencil thin brush and would hang up on anything larger in diameter. Used for a total of about 15 min. Being a bit disappointed i just fired up my old saw and figured I would just take it in to see what the Pros thought. After explaining to the clerk what my concerns were he took it out back and had a go. He came back and explained that the bar was bent and the chain was dull. A dull chain I can get over, no big deal I can just use the sharpener that they sold me. I actually bought two sharpeners. But the bar.... No way. It was sold to me bent. I asked very kindly if there was anything they could do? The only solution was to sell me a new bar and chain..... I asked about a warranty through stihl and they said it unlikely that they would do anything. After explaining my disappointment and understanding they indicated that they would speak to the manager and have him give me a call. I ended up buying the bar and shelled and additional $30 so I could use my 15 min old chainsaw and havent herd anything since..... I paid a premium for this saw at $610 dollars and they cant even make a call. Extremely bummed that I had this experience. I can get poor service anywhere else in town but I have grown to expect more out of the greater Missoula Ace family of stores. All over a $30 bar....

If you want to be treated rudely (or ignored) by a counter staff that doesnt know a lawnmower from a pair of hair clippers, this is this Ace is the Place You know you are in trouble when three employees at the counter wont even acknowlede your presence when you walk in. Even the model numbers on an Ace Private labeled mower wont get you the right parts even paying 5 times the price the OEM parts are available on Amazon. One doesnt mind paying more for local service. You just wont get it here..... Three trips for a common magneto? With the engine cowling and actual part in hand they still couldnt get the right part after waiting a week to get it. Went to another shop, who looked at the part walked to their shelf and handed it to me AT HAF THE PRICE, Power Pros is NOT the same shop they had at Eastgate. Stay FAR FAR away.
Brought in a rotor tiller for service work. The guy that took it in and advised that they were out 4 weeks. I didnt hear from them for six weeks. When I called them they told me that my machine had been looked at yet. They took another two weeks to get the machine in and order parts.... If they would have been honest and told me that they were eight weeks out I would have likely just purchased a new unit. Super frustrating! Ill use Murdochs from now on.

Was greeted at the door and then told they would not help me because i didnt have part numbers. Instead of matching the parts i have like normal stores, i was talked to like i was an idiot for even thinking i could match parts. I will never step foot in that place again and let everyone i know that of they want talked down to just go ahead and try to shop there.
Its always a bad sign when you arent greeted, or even acknowledged, but the first employee you see. Its also a pretty amatuer situation when the manager, or assistant manager, tells the only customer in the place to stand there and wait while two employees handle the same phone call and one mills about putting things away. Add to this a no-can-do, Im the expert here tone with finding a very simple part without a exact model number, after a needless wait, and you get a fairly deep pocketed customer who finds the place laughable, and unusable. Every time Ive dealt with Montana Ace on power tool they have been great. It seems like they only sell stuff that works well. Plus the service what they sell, even years later. Or they will sell you the parts and you can fix it yourself.
