Grandmaster Steve is knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated to teaching Wing Chun. I have an 8 year old in his kids classes, and he works well with kids. This is not a trophy for all class, he wants to teach them correctly and takes care to patiently, make sure each individual child gets the moves right.

Dont pass this place up!! Let me tell you of my recent trip here, first of all, Steve Lee Swift who is now my SIFU is truly legendary with Wing Chun. He is the real deal and I have never seen anybody as fast as him and Ive seen a lot of Wing Chun teachers on YouTube and online but he is by far the best Ive come across.He is very patient and a amazing teacher! Ive been searching for about 10 years for a real Wing Chun school and teacher and happened to come across this website, and after seeing SIFUs credentials and photos that he received while living in China and his other locations it showed me he was the real deal but also seeing him in action really set it in concrete, on top of that his students are also patient and willing to help you learn! He is great with his kid classes that he offers! Since I was new I attended them also. To sum this up I live in Alabama and Im traveling every other month to train with SIFU and all his students, so just know that I could travel any where but Im choosing here and you now know the reason for that! He learned from IP mans sons and his top students! You should definantly check him out for yourself!! Also best hospitality I have ever received! Thank you all so much!

Ive been liking Wing Chun since 2001. I only been learning Wing Chun through books and few DVDs.Also learning its philosophy through many books, which relates to Wing Chun. But never get a chance to learn from actual Wing Chun teacher. Finally, we have a Wing Chun school in Minnesota. Its a legit School and Instructor. I learn many variety arts from different Martial Art Schools, but couldnt find what I want. This is a rarely chance to have a Wing Chun school in Minnesota. Sifu Steve Lee Swift is actual student from Ip Man 2 son & 2 student. Hes also teaches straight forward applications & real life self defense tactics. As theres a saying:( positions before repetitions, and repetitions before perfections. ). Theres only few instructors well have this in there teaching. Sifu Steve Lee Swift truly have this. Hes really patients towards his student and others. I understand some people well experience self proclaim or ex-con to use other Martial Arts name to tarnished other schools. Also to hurt others civilians. This I went through, hear it, and see it.All parents and students, do seek a truthful and good teachers. A teacher, do seek a truthful and good attentions from a students.To anyone out there I highly do recommend you to go and check it out. Look around the school and youll see lots of details & storied. We are fortunate to have Grandmaster Steve Lee Swift instructing Wing Chun Kung Fu in the area. Sifu Swift instructs students of all ages and skill levels utilizing years of experience and a true respect and passion for the art. I have been a student for just under a year. I wish our paths would have crossed sooner! 6 years ago, I had the opportunity to learn Wing Chun in Foshan, China for a couple of months. Since then I fell in love with the Art of Wing Chun and had been teaching myself based on what was taught to me and whatever books I could get a hold on to that was related to Wing Chun and Martial Arts.Now-a-days everyone likes to call themselves a Martial Arts master and self-proclaim themselves to be grand masters and teachers. But very few of them are recognized by Official Martial Arts Masters and Wing Chun Masters in China. Grand-master Swift is one of the few that is recognized by the Wing Chun Association of China. I would have never been given the opportunity to learn from Grand-master Swift if not for him moving to Minnesota a couple of years ago from Florida. When I am learning in class it feels just like when I was in China.I too, was hesitant when looking for a Master who could aide me in continuing my lifelong journey of learning Wing Chun. Because to me a Master is forever a student. In this day and age it is difficult to find a legitimate master to learn from especially with the globalized popularity of Wing Chun. But I guarantee that if you come and learn from Grand-master Swift it will be as if you were training Wing Chun in China. If you still have doubts or questions I suggest you go visit the dojo or give Grandmaster Swift a call to ask him personally. He is very friendly and has a great personality, charisma and leadership skills with the experience, agility, and techniques to back it all up.

This is easily the most effective and efficient martial arts Ive seen taught or shown in person. The flow and the power of the form is so easy to feel even at the beginning levels. Low pressure, casual and fun environment but still a solid focus on respect, honor and discipline. Lots of easy and natural self defense taught as well as traditional Wing Chun. Excellent Sifu and really friendly people attend! This is very different and far more effective art form and environment than the other martial art classes and forms weve experienced in the part. My 13 yr old son, my girlfriend and I have been doing classes for 3 months and its great. Highly recommend visiting to see for yourself! Check out classes in Minnetonka!

Great place, I’ve been attending classes for close to 6 months. I’ve definitely learned more from Sifu Swift than other places I’ve attended. It’s a rare opportunity to train with him. It’s a really great atmosphere with kind people and with classes 6 days a week it’s easy to find a time that works for you. Sifu Swift teaches the entire Wing Chun system and doesn’t mix any arts. If you like the Ip Man movies, you’d definitely like training here.

Sifu Swift is an award winning Grandmaster and has been teaching Wing Chun for nearly 50 years. This is his school. Not a school licensed to use his name or title, but his personal school and he teaches every class. The experience you get from working with someone with that much experience is unparalleled. His teaching style is more geared towards useful street self defense than practicing moves over and over again that arent going to be effective. Ive been taking 3-5 lessons a week here for the last 4 months and have also been taking weekly private lessons. Ive not taken any martial arts classes before, but was once a competitive athlete and have learned an enormous amount and developed and fine tuned quite a bit of proprioception.Also, Sifu interviews everyone that walks through that door intending to take classes to ensure that the learning environment for everyone is not compromised by a student that will create a poor environment. If something isnt quite working, point it out and it will be addressed. Its an honor to have such a skilled teacher that also cares about everyone learning as much as Sifu Swift does.

Grand Master Steve Lee Swift is an EXCELLENT instructor Extremely knowledgeable and in depth of Yip Mans wing Chun Kung Fu. He is also detailed in explaining and showing, teaching wing Chun and patient. He has been doing this for 50 yrs and is still Very fast.
