Honest and trustworthy small engine repair place that provides quality workmanship within a reasonable time frame. I did talk to the owner about their past...What I found out is that they have had a few good mechanics, but those mechanics just did not work out over these years for one reason or another. Now, they have an excellent mechanic who is there for the long haul, who is very honest and he knows how to do small engine and equipment repairs. For example: he repaired my riding mower, chainsaw and a constant issue with my snowblower. The mechanic was very honest about what was wrong with each one, the price was very reasonable and each one has a repair warranty. The owner also stated that some customers want to argue over the cost of their repair that was needed. He told me that he just does not like to argue and seems to be a genuinely happy person. However, he will make it right for those who desire to fight over the repair costs, but Omega will not do any future repairs for that person. Who can blame him if someone wants to fight over what it took to get the repair successfully done? The best way to avoid making this mistake is to give a fixed dollar amount for the repair. Anything over that amount needs to be authorized prior to the repair. That way, you and Omega stay in sync on the cost of repairing your equipment and this will totally avoid any cost of repair issues. The bottom line is that there are not many small engine repair shops around and equipment is getting more and more expensive to keep buying new. Having an honest and wonderful repair place like Omega is really hard to find. So, I would suggest to all those who have had a negative experience from Omega to give them another chance to fix your equipment. This is because the owner is very honest and they have a great mechanic. My advice is if an employee gives you trouble, just talk to the owner and try not to argue over the repair costs, because they ARE being honest on what it took to get your equipment running.

I dropped off a chainsaw to have the blade sharpened and have a tune up. The chainsaw wasn’t running rough before the tune up but had not been tuned up for a while. The chainsaw even runs better now. I didn’t think that was possible. I also received it back in 1 week. I’ll be back there for any of my small engine needs

If you find yourself in need of incredibly bad customer service or a feral cat, look no further! I found myself wondering if I should notify family as to my exact location and expected time home so they would know where to find my body in this rendition of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre disguised as Omega Industries. Consider driving much, much further if need be if youd want your items back in the same calendar year.

This is a top notch buisness, Al the owner and his Mechanics prove that years of expierence doesnt come together any better than these guys!!! Sure they are up to 3 weeks out at times on getting the equipment fixed, but i know when picking up that valuable piece of equipment that it is going to be exactly how i want it!!! Their senior mechanic Brian with his 25 plus years expierence has a counsious for detail and costumer satisfaction, the way i know it, if Al and Brian cant make it work or cost efficiently then its time for a new one!!!! This buisness will have my recommendation always, thanks for the dependability guys.

I will never do business with this company again. They quoted me a price for an item but when I checked my credit card it was twice as much. They also sent me a wrong part that did not fit my machine. I told them I was going to send it back for refund which we agreed too. They only was going to refund me the cost of item but not the shipping cost that was there fault. I have yet to see the money on my credit card.I would think twice before doing business with this company.

I took in my Toro snow blower to be repaired as it was misfiring and would stall frequently. The work took a week as indicated. The machine works great on the very first snow fall and multiple times since. In fact, it works better than any time in the last 10 years. These guys do know what they are doing! They are the only small engine repair place in the western suburban area that really knows all the small machines. They primarily service commercial customers to keep them in business. Just work with Omega when you need something done recognizing a week is not too bad for a full overhaul and repair. I would gladly use them again.

Took several weeks, doesnt work, and out $80. Brought in a pressure washer because it did not generate pressure. They said nothing was wrong and charged me $80 to look at it. Because I didnt need it until Spring (good thing since it took awhile to fix it), I did not find out that it functioned the same...no pressure. When I talked to them it seemed they found it funny, and not their problem since it was past 30 days. I can accept that I should have tried it when I picked it up, but the combination of incomplete work, rudeness, and fairly expensive charges results in my poor rating. UPDATE: I brought it to another shop, and they found a stick in the vacuum pump. Not sure how it could get there or why it wasnt found during the original repair at Omega.
