I have been going to Metro Dental for several years and have always been satisfied. Really good chair-side manner. The work seems very thorough. And they take the time to explain whats going on with my teeth and gums and how to best care for them. I highly recommend!
Lilly has awesome customer service and an outstanding attitude! When I am in a rush to catch the bus she always reminds me that she knows of my timeline and gets me out the door on time. She remembers things we talked about the past visit - so nice that she takes care to personalize the visit. She is gentle on my extra sensitive gums during the cleaning, too. She seems to really love her job!
The precautions they took during COVID made me feel safe.
Consistently amazing dentist appointments. I often learn something, and they take extra effort to prioritize my comfort. Dare I say, I enjoy going to Metro Dentalcare? Never expected to say that about a dentist.
Poor service, sloppy work. Very unhelpful when it came to referrals or next steps. Left in pain and got help elsewhere.
I have been going to MetroDental for many years and have always had a good experience- but I have only gone to the downtown Minneapolis location twice- and it’s been amazing! They truly take the time to explain what’s going on with my teeth, gums and never make me feel like we are in a rush. I have seen Natalie both times as my hygienist, and she is just awesome!
Dr. Tran and her assistant are awesome. The sweet lady at the front desk I believe to be the office management lead is awesome. They all made my experience great. Especially since I had a terrible experience as a kid a long time ago. They made me forget all about that. These ladies at this office are all great and welcoming they are the shiznit and awesome and I would definitely refer. Also, Dr. Tran is very gentle and knowledgeable and she explains everything thats going on.
In the beginning, I would of given them more stars, but after dealing with the front desk a few months ago, they have been nothing but harassing me. After letting the person at the front desk know that I will no longer be a patient, I was told I had a bill. I wont name the woman name, but she kept harassing me, and then stated that she couldnt get in touch with me. I asked numerous time through email for this breakdown of the bill, and still it has not been straighten out! Then I get a voice message on yesterday 10/16/18 from someone named Tracy saying that I have an appointment. I dont know a Tracy and Im no longer a patient!
One of the best dental offices in the city. I actually learn some useful things about my mouth and how best to care for it during every visit. And they have this fancy, space-age waterpick for the teeth cleaning so theres less scraping.
Wonderful service, great location. The receptionist, the assistant, and the dentist were phenomenal. I couldnt afford all the work that I needed on this visit so we scheduled appointments for the future to get everything taken care of at a later date with no pressure from any of the staff to spend more than I need. I will be a regular as long as I continue to live in the area.
I had my first cavity last year and went to this location because they accepted my insurance. The first Dr filled the cavity and didnt sand it down so it always felt like I had something stuck in my teeth when I rubbed my tongue on it. I called a week later and they were able to get me in to sand it more so it doesnt give me that weird feeling. The Dr who originally filled it wasnt there so someone else had to do it for me. After the procedure, came the bill. I paid a certain amount out of pocket because the insurance didnt pay for all. A month later, I get a bill that says I still owe them money. I told them that I paid it when I was there and have the receipt to prove it. They said they would work on it and will call me back. Didnt hear from them, I received another bill with late charges on it. I called them again and they said they will look into it and will call me back. Didnt receive the call, got another bill, again, I called them back and they looked into it further while I was on the phone with them this time. They told me it was taken care of and I didnt owe them anything. It took 3 months for them to tell me I had already paid for it when I was telling them that the whole. NEVER AGAIN
Cannot overstate how happy I am with the care Ive received from Dr. Tran and the staff at the Metro DentalCare Downtown Minneapolis office. Ive been seeing Dr. Tran for over two years now, and (unfortunately) I had a lot of work that needed to be done. My teeth are in great shape now, and as unpleasant as dental work can be, Dr. Tran and the rest of the staff here make it a breeze. Theyve always gone out of their way to make sure I comfortable, and are delightful to talk to. Two thumbs way up.
Awful customer service. I was charged a fee because I called and moved my appointment (by the way they track on a full year. if you cancel so many times in a full year you get put on same day appointments. I had no idea) Also multi times I called and asked for a referral to a specialist and they never called me back. I had to call back a lot and finally after about 2 months of getting told I would get a call I received my referral. They arent flexible and its just too bad, I did like my dentist and my hygienist. But who can do same day appointments when you work, have life things and children. They lost a customer that has been going to Metro Dental since 2007.
Jill, at the downtown Minneapolis location, is the greatest thing to happen to Metro Dental. She is so kind, genuinely caring and knowledgeable. I actually enjoy the going to the dentist because of her.
I have had multiple issues with the down town office. I had dual insurance in 2016. They do NOT know how to bill both insurances. I called 4x and the secondary insurance called on multiple occasions( btw. Health Partners dental has been amazing through out this whole ordeal)So after a few billing cycles, which they (Metro Dental)told me to wait, I called again. I wanted to talk to the office manager. After a terse discussion with the desk staff, she finally gave me where she was. I then called the St Louis park office, asking for a call... nothing. I also called the main scheduling line. She said she would send an email requesting a return call. You guessed it. Absolute silence. That was over a month ago. Since then, my flex spending 2016 has timed out. They finally figured out how to bill the dual insurance but the next bill it still has not been applied. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism by the front desk staff and by the office manager. I will not return. Sadly, when a friend had issues with the billing, I defended them. How stupid do I feel now. I do not recommend .
Usually dont write reviews, but I have to agree with the low ratings. Doctors keep changing over time. No reminder calls for appointment. Multiple times, over a month, have tried to call to call office and keep getting message that the office is closed. This is during normal business hours.
Jill is amazing. Caring and competent. Never failing to remember, advise and reassure.
Make sure you check with your dental insurance before having work done here. They will tell you it’s covered when it’s not. And after you get stuck with the bill they won’t help you with payment options but instead send you to a bank to finance it.
I had one cavity in my twenties and none in my thirties. I started seeing a new dentist at this location around the time I turned 40. All of a sudden the new dentist found multiple cavities every time I went in for a cleaning. It seemed odd, given my history, but I didnt question. Then, she told me I needed a crown. Since crowns arent cheap, I got a second opinion - told a different dentist what the Metro Dental provider had said. He actually laughed - said that I had absolutely nothing that would indicate I needed a crown, or that I was even heading in that general direction. It made me question the cavities this provider had found. Ive been seeing the non-Metro Dental provider for 2 years and not a single cavity in that time. Go somewhere else.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! Staff is nice, but the quality of care I received was AWFUL! I had to get fillings and when I while I was being treated the dentist did another filling without informing me and I ended up paying for it out of pocket right then and there! Also, she informed me that my appointment would take a certain amount of time and it ended up taking and hour and half longer! Good thing my work allowed me to take the rest of the day off or else I would have been late for work. Lastly, for 5 days straight after getting treated I could barely sleep at night because my teeth hurt soo bad! Now I have to go back in and get it checked out! Thanks Metro Dental for the WORST dental experience EVER!!
Excellent patient service and convenient location for professionals in the downtown area.
I will agree that the staff changes frequently, but I think that is common where the dentists are employees of the clinic. If you want to make sure you have the same dentist for a long time you will need to find one where the dentist is the business owner.
Great customer service. The staff really made me feel comfortable!
Professional talented and caring staff. They are all business and for a busy downtown daytime schedule, thats exactly what you want.
Get a second opinion, get a different dentist, these people should be avoided at all costs.

I tried to like this place because its so close to my office. I had a new doctor about every 6-9 months. And the care they gave me was subpar. I had a crown put on and after they put the permanent crown on I told them it was giving me pain to chew. They just said that some ibroprofen should take the pain away. Aka - they were hoping to mask the pain instead of actually deal with the root cause. I called today to have my files transferred to a new office and Alisha at the front desk was beyyyoond rude. So, as convenient as this this place seems, I highly recommend finding a local dentist office with doctors that care about you and provide exceptional service so that you come back.
I have had very good care by fine professionals.
Always a pleasant experience . Great staff !!
Poor customer service... only out for money, was told I had to pay out of pocket after half of my procedure was done would not recommend anyone to even bring a dog here, they are beyond awful!!!!
Great care and friendly staff.
Nice service and good people..
Excellent Service!
