I was referred by my OBGYN - I will say that the website needs some revamping. I spent over an hour looking through therapists and figuring out who best I think would be a fit for what I was seeking out and when I found someone - I made an appointment to then get a call and let me know that she is not taking new clients - if that is the case - IT SHOULDNT BE AN OPTION TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT. They gave me a different therapist who was great and I felt like it was helping me work through things at sessions - but then my child gets sick in the middle of the night, throwing up - Im sleep deprived and know that I wont be able to take an hour and do a therapy session while I have a sick little one at home. I call - and they inform me that they will be a 50 dollar cancellation fee - funny that they called me 2 hours before an appt I had scheduled two weeks prior to let me know my therapist had to cancel due to illness. Anyway - I cancelled the rest of my standing appointments and will no longer be working with this business.

I’ve been receiving therapy though CARE for two months so far and it’s been extremely helpful. After seeing a few therapists that weren’t the right fit over the last two years from other providers I am extremely thankful to find someone who understands and listens to me. I did have to be on a waitlist for a few weeks but it was totally okay because they place you with someone that has experience in working with your specific needs. Thank you to my therapist and all the other therapists out there taking care of our communities!

CARE Counseling is a very special community that I feel extremely lucky to work for! They have created a thoughtful and welcoming space for both employees and clients. If you value social justice, community building, and accountability, you have found the right place!

Beware: blindsided by huge medical charges. Just woke up to a huge $360 charge on my bank account which no one had discussed with me, even though I’m presently on medical assistance and therapy is covered. Do not go here unless you are prepared to get gigantic random charges without being consulted first.

High anxiety? steer clear. Overall frustrating experience for me... finding an available therapist, problem. scheduling an intake, problem. have TWO sessions, PROBLEM. from start to finish the whole experience here was messy.Now Im left with no therapist AND a bill...hands down worst mental health experience Ive ever had.

After going to Cedar Hills for a year and my therapist leaving the practice I found that year with Cedar Hills and Sara Mehalick very helpful because I was going through some serious relationship issues and trying to establish myself as a parent in my childs life.I decided to continue therapy with another service and found Care Counseling. Because of the hard stuff in my personal life including a very spiteful ex that is obstructing communication between my son I was hoping to work on dealing with that and talking with someone. My sons mother recently filed false allegations against me which if anyone knows about family cases in general mothers seemingly can get away with anything and everything. I havent been convicted of any crime and my case is pending in court. I work for the post office and dont have anything in my background that is violent or criminal. Charlotte Johnson told me I wont be welcomed at there office due to the allegations. I know this will be resolved in the near future I really needed the help of a therapist during this time. I was completely hurt by this decision. Most likely she just didnt want to help me. The following day I received a charge for $50 for no reason to add insult to injury. I do not recommend Care Counseling to anyone especially fathers.

The counselor I saw here didn’t ever work on one specific thing with me and she kept telling me the same coping skill over and over and over again, nothing new. I told her I wanted to have homework and she would give me homework rarely and then would never bring it up in the next appointment. She didn’t help me really at all. I’ve had better experiences and this wasn’t worth my time.

CARE is by far one of the best mental health centers in the Twin Cities area. Convient location, kind and patient administration staff, and genuinely supportive counselors. They truly understand the severe impact mental illness can have on the lives of their clients and work to support and accommodate their needs.

Great counseling center in the heart of uptown Minneapolis. Personalized care. They have at least one Spanish speaking therapist too. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend. Andrea and team made us feel comfortable confident. Very unique space and comfortable space was a plus for our son.

I know these folks are trying so hard to positively impact the community - it goes a long way to watch the effort.

WORST PLACE YOU COULD POSSIBLY GO . WAY OVERPRICED EVEN WITH INSURANCE AND THEY DONT TEACH YOU A SINGLE THING . SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY SERIOUSLY . THEY DONT WORK WITH YOU TO SET UP ANY PAYMENT PLANS AND THEYRE IMPACIENT... THEY HAVE VERY MINIMAL THINGS THEY TEACH YOU AND ARENT GREAT SUPPORT. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY AND DONT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT !!.
