I held off on writing a review because I wanted to have lots of experience under my belt before making a decision. Ive been a client of Heather Marks for about 7 months of near-weekly appointments and I have to say I am IMPRESSED. Heather has always been professional and friendly. The room is always clean and set to a comfortable temperature. She has always been on time and never had to reschedule an appointment. I am seeing great results and my hair removal is progressing as she said it would. I wasnt sold a miracle overnight hair removal story. She told me EXACTLY how it worked and gave me real expectations for the timeline of my procedure. Her pricing is in touch with other electrolysis locations, maybe even less than others. As for the electrolysis itself: does it hurt? Kinda. Its not my idea of a good time but it is bearable. Depending upon the location the pain levels vary from can barely feel it at all to ooh that feels like it zapped all the way down my leg. Its never been a make-me-cry level of pain and Ive never felt like my 45 minute session was too painful.If youre looking to remove unwanted hair, skip the laser. Get it done permanently with electrolysis. Yes, it takes longer. Yes, its more expensive. But most importantly, YES, the results are worth it.

We started with a consultation that included 15 mins of treatment for free, which was a great way for me to ask my questions and figure out what electrolysis would feel like. She recommends a numbing cream that is also used for tattoos, and if you follow her instructions it makes a big difference in your comfort during your appointment. I had never done electrolysis before, but was referred to Heather by my dermatologist. So glad for the referral. I went to Heather for a little over a year to help with a couple problem areas that had been plaguing me for many years, as well as my under arms. She knows her stuff and she was straight with me about the length of time it would take to see results. She was also very sensitive to ensuring that I was comfortable and helped reduce the risk of clogged pores afterwards. Plus, she’s so nice and welcoming too, and always tried her best to accommodate me if I needed to change my appt time. I highly recommend her and electrolysis for smaller problem areas vs any other type of hair removal.

Heather is the first person I have done electrolysis with, so I did not know what to expect. Frankly, it could be a little bit embarrassing to have someone working on your bikini area...but with Heather it is never awkward. Her place is so clean you feel like youre in the doctors office.
