Awesome company. Scanner meets all my expectations. One thing I recommend is having them program it for you, well worth the money. Buuuuut, I messed up and was checking out the functions of this awesome scanner and some how deleted everything they programmed for me. I had to spend most of the day I received it trying to program the departments I want to receive. I dont think I have All of them but I do get some. Definitely a learning curve to figure out. All in all though I love this scanner and would recommend it. The service from the company is great and I received it in record time.

I ordered a scanner to be programmed and a few other items. Everything arrived on time and quickly except for one item. The packing slip said it would ship from the warehouse. I waited a few weeks and it never came in so I contacted them. They said it had shipped but since I hadnt received it they would ship me another. True to their word, they did. I received that item within a week. They truly do an awesome job and have great customer service.

I bought my scanner from this company and I love it. Took me awhile to get used to using it. But the company cares about their customers and shares videos and websites of how to and useful tips on how to use your scanner. I’m still not 100% sure how to completely use my scanner to its fullest ability but it does what I need. And it’s great knowing I can email or cal the company and they will help me.

My scanner was on back order and still got it really fast. The team was supper helpful constantly checking in whether because it was on back order, or because they were concerned that I would not get much in my area because here the police encrypts their channels ... Great experience.

Really great experience with Zip Scanners. Decided to buy from them based on helpful information on scanner selection on their website and youtube videos. A few hours after I placed the order they contacted me telling me they noticed the scanner wouldnt work for police and fire departments in the county where I lived and asking if I really wanted this model. I told them I purchased it for NASCAR and they told me I had made a really good choice for that purpose. I received my order quickly and it worked for me.

My scanner works well. With all the other distractions in our world currently, I havent spent as much tome with it as I could. I purchased it as a long term investment. I plan to move and the ability to program for any location is great.

Ordered a Whistler TX1. This company saw my location and replied to me that this scanner does not scan simulcast broadcasts in my area. I replied that this would not work form me. They refunded my purchase immediately.Most companies would not even recognize this. Any more radio purchases I will check with ZipScanners first. Great customer service.

I bought a scanner on backorder and then received a call from their person in Texas (by cid area code) telling me that all police traffic in my area was encrypted, so no matter what I bought it would not work for that in my area. I ordered an SDS100 with all the trimmings, unlocking all the optional decoders (which are quite expensive). Before finalizing the order, they got in touch and made sure that I meant to do that, telling me most people dont require that extra functionality.Nice job guys, next time I can afford a flagship scanner, youll be top of the list of places to look for it.

I purchased a Whistler TRS-1 handheld scanner from Zip scanners a few years ago. The scanner itself seems solid, but has a sort of high learning curve. I also purchased programming for a few counties near me, in Colorado. I live in Boulder County. When I received the scanner, I quickly noticed that instead of Boulder, all of the county resources were named St Clair instead. I sent a note to Zip, requesting correction of this. They responded saying the programming was correct and just to treat Boulder as St Clair (i.e. live with it). I felt that response was poor customer service and I would have a hard time recommending Zip scanners unless someone was ok with doing their own programming.

Nice guys, good videos. Hard to get on the phone. EDIT...Happy to take your money but don’t bet on getting technical support. Went on their web site and scheduled a tech support call. Got a confirmation/invitation email with a time. Waited around for a call but never got one. Bearcat warehouse and Scanner Masters both answered their phones when I called them so any one thinking of a scanner purchase should consider this. They say life time tech support but 3 weeks after the sale I am unable to speak to some one. I tried to patronize a small company and this seemed to back fire. I was able to talk to some one 2 times out of countless calls. I would have spent my money elsewhere if I had known how it would be after the sale. Sorry, I tried.

Ive been dealing with Zip for awhile. They are amazing. Ive had many questions and they have had the answers. I had a problem with a Uniden Scanner Warranty and they intervened to get my scanner fixed. When the local first responders switched to P25, I had an updated sim card in less than a week with all the new freqs. Super nice folks and a joy to deal with.I cant recommend them highly enough.

Zip Scanners are probably the best on the Web at what they do, I wanted to buy a scanner form them and I discovered...the excellent welcoming and very pursuave website doesnt match their interest or care when someone a bit challenging comes along, and just might need a little push to spend that kind of money.Truly disappointed in this wanna-be lack of real customer service and Laissez faire attitude, they really need someone who is interested in prospective customers - probably wouldve resulted in a sale, but they lost me...If you dont care about this, then I suggest you buy from Zip Scanners, but I wont...

Ordered the SDS100 on April 7th and it was on Backorder. They received more stock 2 days ago I think and I received my scanner Today April 30th! Well packed and Zero damage! I had watched a few videos and downloaded Sentinel software as well as went to Control Panel in Windows 10 to turn on dotnet.3.5 which also has the needed 2.0. But before connecting to computer, I installed battery and antenna and within 5 minutes of opening the box I was listening to local agencies! Wouldnt have taken that long but had to set time and date. Great company ZipScanners! Love the radio! Highly Recommend Zip Scanners! Theyre extremely helpful AND they have much more than I could have imagined. This includes a wide variety of Antennas at truly reasonable prices. My daughter and I bought the scanner for my husband for Christmas. He is having a blast going out on weekends and listening to the railroad chatter. He found the plans for the local rail yards on line and goes and sits trying to figure out what line is in use, how the trains are moving and where they are going.
