This was a terrible experience. The stylist cut my hair terribly. If she knew she couldn’t do the style, DONT DO IT!!! She cut a huge gouge in the front of my head, and tried covering it up by cutting the entire top of my head super short. I LIKED MY HAIR BETTER BEFORE I GOT IT CUT. Don’t let the lady with the brown hair touch your head. The sad part it, I had 3 great experiences here, but my last one was terrible.

They nicked my sons head he had alot of cuts from his haircut. Mine wasnt the greatest I had to pay to go get mine fixed

Mixed review. I’ve been to this location three times. The first two were great cuts, and even by two different people. The last time, however, was horrible. Do not let Tonya touch your hair. She clearly had a different picture in mind of how I look, because she basically went rogue on my cut. Morgan is great. The other girl I’ve had is great (sorry I can’t remember your name). Tonya (starts with a “T”, blonde and said “manager” on her name tag 🙄) gave me possibly the worst haircut I’ve ever had. I like the other two enough to still go back to this location. They both were really good.

I was serviced by Morgan and she did an amazing job. She was sweet and took her time to get the cut right.

A stylist, well not sure if even a certified stylist by the name of Lauren did a horrible job. I specifically gave her instructions on how to cut my hair and she decided to ignore my instructions and go by what she thought was best. Please reference the picture below to see why I am writing this review. After the haircut she insisted I leave a tip after I already told her I wouldnt and she proceeded on to giving me a lecture on why its appropriate to leave tip for a service provided. I ended up just walking out of this location frustrated and unpleased with my haircut. Never again will I step foot in this location or recommend this location to anyone.

Ive been coming to Sports Clips for a couple years. I always get a great affordable cut with great service. However, the experience I had today at the Lyndale store is by far THE BEST Sports Clips experience I have ever had. Ryan was my stylist today and gave me one of the best haircuts Ive had in years. He and the entire staff were fun, kind, accommodating, passionate, and focused. I felt listened to. I could tell I was being offered product recommendations that actually catered to my hair concerns and style and not just an attempt to up-sale. If everyone could have the experience I had today, everyone would feel pretty and confident. I will be returning to this store for a long time. THANK YOU!

Great place to get your haircut

I am inspired by the superb service I received at the Lyndale Sport Clips. Seriously. I know that getting a haircut is a mundane recurring activity, but what makes this so exceptional is that the staff clearly relishes their work, and definitely try very hard to provide exceptional service. It is easy to respect and admire anyone who takes great pride in their work and workplace, and that is what you see at the Lyndale Sport Clips. If you live in south Minneapolis and it is convenient to use this location, I hope you give Lyndale Sport Clips a try. Nice job Lyndale Sport Clips!

I described where I wanted more cut, but my stylist did not follow directions well. Motivated me to the surprising success of cutting, styling, and coloring my hair myself.

Walked in with a coupon for a free haircut since I was new to Sport Clips, and Im very pleased with the experience.Angela took great of me during our time together. She made sure to explain the process we went through, what products she used and why, and made a great recommendation for a take-home. She also made sure to take time to pay attention to the little details, like being careful of my cowlicks and trimming around the ears.The environment was very mellow, which is great; I personally dont like feeling like Im at a job interview when getting a haircut, and Angela made sure I felt right at home. Will definitely be coming back and will recommend this Sport Clips to friends and family in the area.

After visiting this location for about 2 years, I have never had a bad experience. Wait times are always reasonable, and the stylists always do a good job. Any rough edges that were present before seem to have been smoothed over very quickly with the new management. They provide excellent and efficient service.

This is my new go to hair cut shop in the Southern metro. I had a great experience all around. The service was great and my haircut was exactly what I asked for. I am definitely going back for my next cut, and I highly recommend that anyone else in the area give this shop a shot.

Rahema gave me the best cut of my life and I’ve have some good ones (I’ve also had a bad one from Lucy at this location, but they dealt with that). She also has a perfect, comfortable demeanor. Not pushy at all in conversation but still engaged. Exactly the cut and the experience I needed. Everybody my boys and I have had cuts from here since the invigoration has been top notch, guys and gals. I’m requesting Rahema, but would be totally happy with everyone here in a pinch!

Should have listened to the reviews. I’m sure it’s a lovely place with lovely staff. But after waiting close to 40 min and the person ahead of me not being helped, I had to leave for other commitments. Very understaffed, only one person working the last few hours it sounds like is a normal thing.

Why do I even have to give a star? Not deserved. I asked for shorter on the sides and a bit off the top so I could style and comb. I left with no bangs on each side (cut into my hairline) and not enough hair to style on top. This is the worst haircut Ive ever had. Ill be wearing a hat for the next two weeks. My stylist at Rue 48 was out of town or I would have gone there per usual. Ill gladly pay $40 for a cut at Rue 48 to get exactly what I want. Never again.

Typically understaffed with only one person working and long wait times. Tried to check in online the first time they took a walk in right before my scheduled time and I still had to wait 25 minutes. The second time I was told I had to wait because the only person working was on the phone and taking a break?? Why allow people to schedule appointments if you aren’t going to honor them? Also hit and miss with stylist have had a couple of very good ones and couple of bad experiences. After the last online check in experience not sure I’ll be going back.

Came to this location because they were participating in the Veteran’s day offer. Should have stayed with my regular stylist at the Highland Park location. Told the stylist I’ve been growing out my hair for a man bun. I wanted to only cut the sides with a fade and a line against the top where the long hair begins. I even showed her a photo. Halfway through the haircut while being distracted by the manager she says she’s going to trim the top and cuts off half the length. I don’t know if she forgot what I asked or I’ve been trying to grow out my hair for four months and she set me back over 2 inches. Disappointed and unhappy. Will never visit this location again.

Worst haircut Ive received in awhile. Didnt ask me if it was a good length. Bangs were cut uneven. Was already putting product in it without asking me if I wanted any so it was too late to go back. I tried to ignore the reviews because this one is so close to where I live, but that was a mistake. Im going to have to go somewhere else to fix it. Ill gladly drive to a different Sports Clips to get a higher quality haircut.

I am hugely loyal to Sport Clips. I received a free haircut coupon since I live close to this one. Omg, awfulll experience. The lady who cute my hair seemed uneducated in the industry. Then a male worker was butting into conversation and primping himself on stop next to us. The hair wash went without a hot towel. Honestly, I will make the extra drive to go to Southtown Sport Clips, they run a great program where youre happy with anyone you get.

Ever had a bad decision play out in slow motion? Thats what it felt like after sitting down in the chair. The stylist(?) spoke little English, and kept telling me to watch the football game (hockey was on the TV). She wound up cutting down to my scalp, and missing an entire area of my head. Will not return.

Garbage haircuts they messed up every time it’s a waste of money

Average hair cut, never any lines when i go there!

Showed up at 9:30am when it was supposed to be open at 9am and the doors were locked and no lights were on.

I came to Sports Clips on Lyndale and on Google, Yelp and their front door it says they are open until 8pm. I walked in and registered on the computer and had 1 person in front of me at 6:55pm. The stylist informed me that she would not be seeing me because she is closing at 7pm because she is the only one there. Don’t advertise to be open until 8pm if you are not.
