Look at the difference ^. Ive been going to Abu Shanab barber shop for over 6 years now and they always take great care of me. They are all very skilled, take their time, and will leave you feeling brand new. The prices are reasonable too, definitely worth every penny. I see a lot of complaints about the time it takes, but thats the cost of getting a good haircut. So yeah honestly do plan on spending a good amount of time waiting if you see others before you. I suggest going during a week day to speed things up otherwise you could be there up to three or more hours. But overall, my favorite barbershop around.

My time is very precious. If you care about your time do not come here. The wait, the break of the social binding words … but I heard a lot of good things about them but for myself I don’t think I will cut my hair there.

Been bringing my sons here since 2014. It’s always a great vibe and the barbers are on point. They always make us feel like their family. They always remember my kids names and what styles they like.It’s an upbeat and happy atmosphere no matter what kind of music they are playing. They are the best in the barber industry!! Highly highly highly recommended!!! Bring your son, husband, boyfriend, uncles, grandpas, dads, whatever but I guarantee they will become regulars.

They are a good place but the waiting is always crazy. They don’t take appointments and make you wait for hours. Whatever time to wait they say, at least double it. My suggestion is to go only if you have at least 2 hours at hand, definitely not recommended for quick haircut. I wish they could get more organized, take appointments and respect the time of their customers.

Just went here and got my beard trimmed. I have to say that this place is absolutely awesome. The barber Alex did phenomenal work. Asked me how I wanted it to look and went above and beyond any expectations. Kept it long and trimmed the sides with expert skill to allow my beard to still remain looking very full and long. I will continue going to Alex to get my beard trimmed every time. I highly recommend going here for any of your needs. AWESOME PLACE!

I will never ever come back to here and I don’t recommend you going. After instructed to seat, the barber went to smoke and eat for more than 40 minutes while leaving me waiting for him. After that, the other barber asked me if I want to switch, I did, and I wish I did not. As seen below I was bleeding from more than 10 spots. I totally encourage the owner to teach his employees manors first and then teach them how to shave.

Been coming here for years and always have the best customer service. The barbers are skilled at what they do and will do exactly what you tell them to do and love giving advice. They also did very nice remodeling to the store looking more like a friendly place to be at while waiting for a haircut. Always have a great experience here.

What could not resist writing a review for was the haircut I had and the unskilled person who gave me the haircut.I have never had such an experience when the barber seemed like a butcher who can make suffer just by the way he handles the sizers let alone the trimmer and shaving blade. One may get a tiny cut if he shaved his face with a blade but to get a haircut and get to cuts is a new record.

I moved here in Jan/16 and could not find a Barber like I had back home in Tulsa, OK. AK might be even more talented than my previous Barber. He is intense with his attention to detail and wants you to leave happy. He leaves you feeling Fresh and Clean for sure. Id recommend him to anyone looking to get tighter up without spending a ridiculous amount of money!!!!

I had face shaving today at around 11am on May 10, 2018 with blood everywhere. Underneath my nose, my face and on front neck. When I sat down on my car, I realized the barber sent me in this condition with blood everywhere. I don’t think this place is bad but this specific barber is careless and carefulness. But they do awesome work, are friendly and welcoming, and deserve a five-star review. So here goes: Alex, the owner, is a great guy and a skilled barber, and his employees are just as good as he is. So come on in. Take a seat (its first come, first served), and whoever youre assigned to will be excellent. In addition to haircuts, I highly recommend getting a beard trim or a shave here. It would be unfortunate not to take advantage of their skill in this area. Theyll soften you up with lather and hot towels, and then go to work with a straight edge razor (using a fresh blade for each customer). The attention to detail, the meticulousness, the professionalism...its all you could ask for. A lot of Middle Eastern guys have thick beards and are very particular about their grooming, and Abu Shanab caters to them -- and everyone else -- with top-tier barbering. Abu Shanab is a treasure; easily the best barbershop in the Twin Cities. A haircut and a beard trim or shave will run you about $30 total: an amazing bargain.

Had to catch a flight in three hours. They had two customers in chairs and one sitting. They told me 20 minutes and 45 minutes later theyre still working on the same 2 guys. This isnt the 1st time that this has happened but this is damn sure the last time Im going there.
