The short: Amazing, amazing staff, great food, and great views.The long: We had our wedding here in August 2016. Chef Beth was amazing with our food needs and we had SO MANY compliments on the food, the amazing staff, and the view. One thing that is super great about this place is the membership that comes with a booking for a large event, so you can try different foods every day/week/month if you like. For example, we had passed cheese curds, no joke! And they were amazing!! My now husband and I really got to know the staff, so any anxiety about anyone working at our wedding was gone because I already knew 75% of the people there. I seriously cannot rave enough about the staff. Just amazing, real, kind, generous, thoughtful, smart, speedy (took 20 minutes or so to serve like 250 people in two rooms), AMAZING. Jen and Jane always promptly (within an hour >90% of the time, within a day the rest of the time) reply to emails about any questions, bookings, food requests, etc. They act as amazing liaisons with not only the staff and the kitchen, but also all the vendors we hired. They both know the questions Im forgetting to ask, and they always acted as if this wedding was going to be super fun for everyone, including the staff! :-) Bonus: there are so many photo ops here - we did pictures against the Ivy wall, obviously the view from the ballroom and the terrace are amazing as well! I cannot recommend the Campus Club enough!

The campus club is a great place on campus to grab a quick meal, meet with colleagues, stop by for a drink, or host a fancy meal. The food is great, and ranges from basic to really fancy. The employees are wonderful. They are friendly and helpful. It is super (super) clean.

The Campus Club was the absolute perfect venue for a winter wedding! We worked with Jane throughout the planning and she was always available and answered all of our many questions. The staff throughout the event were so professional and lovely, we couldnt have asked for anything better. The floor to ceiling windows showcasing downtown Minneapolis was the icing on the cake for us - beautiful scenery no matter the time of year. And the fire pit was a huge hit with the guests! Thank you Campus Club for our perfect day!

We are so pleased that we selected Campus Club for our October wedding. From the first email inquiry we sent to the Campus Club, we were impressed with the diligence, competence, and experience of the staff. The space worked well for us and our guests. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out - the terrace, the dining room, the lounge area, and the bar. We had a variety to guests from kids to my 90 year old grandparents and everyone was comfortable. The views are stunning from every single one of the spaces! We had hoped that our ceremony would be on the terrace but it was unseasonably cold (and snowing) on our wedding day so we ended up having it indoors. We were initially disappointed but it worked out great to have guests sit at the dining tables and was really pretty. The space is nicely finished and requires very little decor to look pretty for a wedding - we only did centerpieces and cafe lighting and it looked great! This saved us a bunch of money too. The food was excellent and all of our guests’ dietary limitations were accommodated. Leading up to our wedding, we worked mostly with Jenn who is very organized and responsive and takes care of all the details we hadn’t thought of. She responded to every one of our (million) questions right away. On the day of our wedding, the managers and staff made everything run absolutely perfectly. These people really know what they’re doing. We couldn’t be happier about our wedding day. Thanks Campus Club!

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. We had visited many venues and within five minutes of our meeting here we knew it was the spot. Great farm to table food, fantastic downtown skyline views, and all around great space. Not to mention our coordinator Jane was a delight to work with.

Typical, average, nothing special. Went here for a University sponsored ‘banquet style’ dinner and was not impressed with the service or the food. Bar service was slow. I cleared my own dinner plate. Maybe the wait staff thought I wasn’t finished because I couldn’t finish the salmon. Salmon was dry. So dry. Salad with romaine lettuce and pear slices was the best part of the meal. Appetizers were passed during the cocktail portion. Polenta! Polenta! Polenta! So-so Polenta! Polenta with burnt bacon bits. Great view of downtown Minneapolis and the walking bridge on Washington Avenue. So-so service. Typical banquet food. Nothing special.

I came here to have lunch with some friends who are on the faculty at the University of Minnesota. I have been here several other times over the years and I enjoy the food, lively discussions and outstanding views of the Mississippi River and downtown Minneapolis. The food choices of cold and hot foods, already prepared or made to order are excellent. The cafeteria style access is efficient and flows smoothly. The staff are terrific.

We got married at the Campus Club 2 weeks ago and it was amazing. My husband and I met on campus and loved coming back to get married at the U! Jane was so nice and so easy to work with. We met a few times in person and did everything else through email and she made the whole process super simple. She and Jenn were so fast at responding to my emails and questions and they walked us through the whole process. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the Campus Club, which so so easy and the events transitioned seamlessly. The terrace was amazing for the ceremony and the reception hall and its views are spectacular. Our guests loved all of it! A lot of guests also spent time on the terrace during the dance since it was so nice! The food was delicious and the staff was so helpful. I was very pleased with the wedding and I would highly recommend this venue.

We had our wedding at the Campus Club last weekend, and I must say it was a success with many thanks to the staff there! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at this location, which made it easier for out of town guests so they would not have to move once they arrived. Jenn, our coordinator, was so helpful with the details and made sure we were taken care of from the moment we booked this venue. Everything was flawlessly and all of our guests loved the gorgeous view from the terrace and the bar room for conversation throughout the wedding as well.In addition, the food was absolutely amazing. It tasted great at our tasting but honestly it blew us away at the reception. I highly recommend this gorgeous venue along with the great staff that will make sure youre set for the big day! Even though the Campus Club is in a building named after a Racist, I rather enjoy coming here. I always receive a friendly welcome, and the food is stellar. They have meeting rooms and event spaces. Even though its only located on the fourth floor of the building, it feels like a swanky place youd find in a highrise. Even with the Lush feel, there is no pretense from the staff here.

My new husband and I were thrilled with the U of M Campus Club as our venue and caterer. Their level of service and professionalism was phenomenal -- they basically do everything for you which makes set-up and tear-down extremely easy! This was the only venue we toured and knew we wanted to book it right away because of their amazing floor-to-ceiling windows displaying a gorgeous skyline of Minneapolis! And the food -- incredible! We loved that everything was organic and local. Best of all, they were one of the most affordable venues! We highly recommend this venue!

We had our wedding at the Campus Club in August, and it was PERFECT! We live in NYC and we had to plan the wedding from out of state, but Jenn, Jane and their team made it very easy to plan, they were there to help every step of the way, answering questions whenever we needed. And the wedding day was BEAUTIFUL. The ceremony was outside on the terrace with the beautiful view. And there was a rain plan if it rained, which was important to us. We were able to have the ceremony outside, but we loved that they were flexible and able to decide last minute if we were going to need to move the ceremony indoors. The reception in the West Wing was spectacular, and we had our first dance, speeches, and dinner as the sun was setting - it was an epic, cinematic sky! Weve gotten so many compliments on the space and the food. The food was something that was very important to us, and it was local and unique and delicious! The Staff was so friendly and helpful. We always had what we needed. I couldnt have asked for a more wonderful experience. And all at a reasonable cost. We HIGHLY recommend this venue!

Had our wedding at campus club and couldnt recommend it more. The staff were a perfect combination of friendly and professional. They were prompt to respond to my questions and concerns and were able to accommodate much of my vision.The food was also incredible!!!!!! All my guests were raving about it. Also you cannot beat the view. Breathtaking.

My now-husband and I had the Campus Club as our wedding ceremony and reception venue this June, and it was fabulous! We had been to a friends wedding reception there shortly after becoming engaged and from there forward could hardly consider other venues. We knew we wanted the ceremony on the beautiful terrace that overlooked the U of MN campus and downtown and to have our reception in their wonderful dining room with, most importantly, *excellent* food and service. They also had a top-notch bar. And it was within our price range! SCORE! We secured our reservation and were thrilled from there forward. The coordinators worked with us to make sure we took care of all the necessary details, worked well with our other venues, and adapted to our needs where necessary. They even rearranged the room to move the dance floor so that it easily became the dance party we wanted, after dessert. Everyone was very complimentary about the location and the food, the views, etc. We will be renewing our membership with the Campus Club, soon, since I absolutely would reserve space for other events in the future and would recommend it without question, in the future, to others seeking a place to host an event. Thanks to Jenn and Jane for making all our details come together!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Campus Club in September and it was even better than we had hoped. The Club and our event coordinator, Jane, made planning the event super easy for us, which was especially great since we planned the wedding from another state. The space is incredible, our guests loved the venue and the food. We had our ceremony on the terrace and the reception in the ballroom, both were lovely and we had plenty of space for a mid-size wedding (100 guests). I was also especially pleased with the day of coordination between the management and staff with various vendors for our flowers, cake, dj, and photographer. Because the Club took control of arranging drop off and set up, we were able to have a stress free day. I also feel the value for the cost of a ceremony and reception is unbeatable in the Twin Cities. We had a beautiful and fun wedding. It was everything we could have asked for and we highly recommend the Campus Club for all special events.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Campus Club. All of the staff we encountered through planning and execution were incredibly warm and supportive. Jenn was our lead contact and she was simply fantastic to work with: responsive, organized, and also just a funny and friendly person! Staff noticed and attended to all the little event details throughout the night - the space was beautiful, our food was *amazing*, and the dance was hopping. We really appreciated the feature of a full service bar right at the venue - many of our guests had a drink before the event and we hired an accordion player that really set a festive mood during happy hour. My husband and I felt totally taken care of and like we could just enjoy our wedding!!

We had our wedding at the Campus Club in early May and we were so happy with it, we wanted to do it all over again. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the Campus Club. We worked primarily with Jenn but I think I probably spoke, emailed, or met every person there at some point because they were all so helpful. Jenn was amazing. I probably emailed her nothing short of 100 questions and she answered them quickly and was also so nice and happy to help. She did a great job of sending me updated confirmations when we made changes and she had a lot of insight/suggestions/etc. She truly is a pro at what she does and our wedding day went perfectly because of her planning and help. Sadly she was on vacation the day of our wedding, but everyone that was there that day was so professional, helpful and friendly. We just could not have asked for a better experience in planning on wedding. Ive seen it other reviews and its true- weeks later people have complimented us on the food. How many people even remember what they had as a wedding meal, let alone remember and compliment the couple a month later?? The venue and the food and drink, etc are such big decisions with so many little details. And Jenn made sure we covered each one. The other great thing about this venue is the space itself. We got so many compliments on the amount of space, the amazing view, the variety of places for guests to mingle. Don’t want to dance? Grab a drink at the bar. Too many shots? Get a breath of fresh air on the terrace overlooking downtown. It’s a beautiful venue with an amazing team of people there to make your day everything you wanted and more. I have to stress the ‘and more’- we went back two days after to collect our gifts and things and my handkerchief from my grandma was missing. I thought I left it on the head table but it was not with any of our stuff. What did Jenn and Jane and company do? Put on rubber gloves and actually looked through linen bags and the garbage bin looking for it. I’m embarrassed to tell the story, because the hanky ended up getting tucked into one of our toasting glasses, but they deserve the credit for being the definition of going above and beyond. Thank you to this wonderful staff for a day we will never forget!

We hosted our reception at the Campus Club, and could not be happier with the way that everything turned out. Jenn, our contact at the Campus Club, was incredibly helpful throughout the process. She was willing to offer advice when we needed it and was incredibly flexible and accommodating as we went through the planning process. The evening of the reception itself was incredible, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at every turn. The food was hands-down some of the best Ive ever had. Further, my wife has 15+ severe food allergies and the Campus Club was able to alter one of their menus dishes for her and other vegetarians at the reception. The facility itself is gorgeous, from wonderful views of the Minneapolis skyline to an incredible terrace to a separate bar/lounge for those looking to take a break from dancing. All in all, this is an incredible venue with marvelous staff; we feel so fortunate to have hosted our reception here.

Hands down the best wedding reception venue ever! My husband and I couldnt be happier with our choice to have our wedding reception hosted at the Campus Club. The food was delicious (multiple guests commented on how much they loved it), the staff was helpful and great to work with, and the views are second to none! The patio was the perfect place for people to hang out during cocktail hour and the dining room worked out great for the dinner and dancing. Overall, a great experience at the Campus Club!

I find the food to be average, sometimes you get a good soup, but the service is slow in taking orders and checking out. Expensive.

We were there for a retirement dinner. I would like to visit again for a drink and sit in the patio. Looked very appealing setting.

Had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Campus Club. Very confusing to find, we were able to put up signs on our wedding day to help our guests find the location.The Manager Jenn was awesome to work with, she was very prompt to respond, followed up with any information she needed with me and communicated well with her staff. On the day of the wedding the staff was great! They helped with issues that came up and things went smoothly:) The food was great, our guest loved how fresh the food was( even thou our ceremony was late, our food was not served cold). I had a great experience since day one with this venue! Would definitely recommend. The only issue was the bar was not stocked up, they had people working who didnt know how to make half the drinks our guests ordered or didnt have the items to make the drinks our guests wanted. One of our guests even went across the street for red bull.

An Art Deco inspired beauty built in the grips of the Great Depression. Its a testament to the optimistic American future. Today it has comfortable seating areas, a cafeteria, and meeting rooms (I was attending a meeting here). My student days are long gone, having already learned everything, but I still loved the place. The facilities were great, including good free WiFi, the staff was courteous and responsive.
