Took the tour. Learned a ton and had a great time with Michael. See the studio where Bob Dylon recorded music, funkeytown was created and much more. Tons of cool art, then get to see the instruments, learn about the labs projects, see a testing room and of course the worlds quietest room, certified by Guinness World Records. Also found out they were certified as the worlds first multi-track digital recording studio (see picture). Then of course you get to spend time in the quietest room with the lights off. Its completely relaxing and youll be amazed how nice it is not to have sound pressure on your ears for ahwile. It may seem a bit expensive, but dont forget, its a functioning labratory, a business, and they have paying clients using the lab as well and they dont run tours concurrently. Definitely a must see. πŸ‘

Definitely want to do a tour and I’d love to try the challenge. However, per the website it’s $125/person for a tour and $600 for 1hr to attempt the challenge... question: if someone sets the record for longest time in there (dark or light) could they get a refund? πŸ˜€I get that the demand greatly outweighs the supply, hence the exorbitant cost, but it just seems like for that one special person, maybe you’d throw em a bone to go with the certificate πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ plus, the incentive is bound to attract even more people overestimating their physical abilities in the face of hyper stimulated aural senses who in turn will inevitably fail and not get the refund. Ergo, you’re coming out ahead no matter what.I think this new sales strategy is a big winner you guys! Let me know if you want any help implementing it or feel compelled to send me payment for my complimentary consultation. 😊

It seems super cool and Id love to visit when the pandemic is over. Is there a way to get in to try and break the record? If so, how much does it cost? Ive seen people answering yes and no so Im pretty confused

I have never been there but from what I’ve heard it’s extraordinary. And I have a question, do you begin to hallucinate there and can you hear your own organs?

They say the only way to book tour is through e-mail, however emails dont send to the address provided. I called and they said it works on their end, but I dont think so and the person to talk to was gone from work for the next week...so no one else can help with tour information or reservations (more like they dont want to help/want people coming there for tours). If you can get ahold of someone to make a reservation, youre lucky and finding a Friday they allow visits that fits your schedule would be a miracle. Wouldve been cool to go to but due to do poor staff service, it wont happen for awhile.

These guys are probably the biggest sound nerds on the entire planet. They do way more than just record noises in the quietest place on earth. They also do on site evaluations, room simulations, floor testing, light evaluations, consultations, seminars, and much much more. Plus they are a great bunch of guys.

THE QUIETEST PLACE ON EARTH....AS RECORDED IN THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS...THE LAB IS CALLED ANECHOTIC CHAMBER..MEANING THERE IS NO ECHO AS THE ROOM ABSORBS 99.99% OF THE SOUND..IT IS USED BY VARIOUS MANUFACTURERS TO TEST PRODUCT VOLUME AND SOUND QUALITY...HARLEY DAVIDSON USED THE LAB TO CREATE QUIETER BIKES THAT STILL SOUND LIKE A HARLEY...IF YOU STAND IN THE ROOM ALONE AND LISTEN YOU CAN HEAR THE BLOOD RUSHING THROUGH YOUR VEINS...
