I visited here with my 13 year old car for the first time, and I felt the service was excellent! Sarah was great to work with, and they showed me before and after pictures of the things that they fixed. Prices were extremely reasonable, and they accommodated my short, available timeframe. Thank you! I will be back.
This place is amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful and always quick to get you back on the road. I highly recommend their services!
Love the owners, staff. They do such great work. Service cost is very affordable. Very honest!! Wont go anywhere else!!!
Purchased 2 tires from state of the art that went nearly bald with only 5000 miles on them. One of the owners continued to imply that the tires would only become bald that quickly if the driver was very aggressive and mentioned he didn’t know what kind of driver I was. I drive like a grandma...very, very slow and defensively. Please don’t blame/insult customers when there are clear alternative possibilities (i.e. defective tires). Long time customer and never coming back.
Honest, knowledgeable, great service. Highly recommended.
Great service and a fair price.
Sarah, Randy and the entire staff are absolutely the most amazing crew. They are always honest about what work needs to get done and what can go a bit longer. I have never felt so confident in an estimate or repair as I am with State of the Art.I will also add that always having a dog in the office is pretty fantastic as well.
Was referred by a friend when the heater core started to leak. Had called different specialist shops but got the best rate here. The people running this shop are very friendly and accommodating. If you have an import and don’t want to be fleeced at “the dealership”, this is the place to go. It’s been a month now and there is no leaks and the heater blows nice hot air.
We love Sarah and Randy and their awesome team. They take great care of our vehicles!
Randy’s a great guy. Bought a great car for a great price. He knows what he’s talking about.
Honest and reasonable. Highly recommended.
I have taken three of my cars to Randy and Sarah for various maintenance and repairs - from oil changes to brakes (Accord and Pilot) to engine mounting bracket repairs (Pilot) and more. The work was always completed within expectations (they do a great job of setting a reasonable expectation that they know they can hit - and then many times exceed that expectation) and with the highest quality.I highly recommend State of the Art!
Been taking my vehicles here for years. Cant say enough about Sara and Randy. You and your car are in good hands.
State of the Art is a fabulous place to get your car repaired and maintained. They do great work at a fair price!
They know what theyre doing, they dont recommend getting something done unless it really needs to be done, their time and cost estimates are accurate, they are trustworthy, and they are reasonably priced. You know how everyone wishes they knew a mechanic they can trust? Its this company.
Good communication. Fair pricing.
You can always count on Randy & Sarahs (owners) honesty, and being treated very fairly. You can expect highly competent automotive repair and knowledgeable skills. Randy has probably the highest certification as an ASE master technician. You will have to usually leave your vehicle with them though. And, make your own transportation arrangements. That being said, its worth the effort. I am a repeat customer from several years back. I always feel good when I walk out knowing that the jobs been done correctly without being oversold like the car dealership commonly does! And, at a better price! How can you beat that?
These are the guys you want maintaining and repairing your vehicle. They are absolutely professional. Their pricing is fantastic. It is dealer quality work and detail. I live in oak creek and have no issue taking my vehicle across town to these guys.
HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE!!!! I was referred to this shop by a friend when my car suddenly would not start one day. I had my car towed to STATE OF THE ART AUTO without ever meeting face to face due to the referral. Randy was not very customer friendly off the bat over the phone but i gave him the benefit of the doubt and had my car towed there anyway. A day after dropping my car off, Randy called me back with a diagnosis said my problem would cost $1200 and take a week and a half to fix. I reluctantly agreed. In order to begin the work I was told i would need to put down a deposit of $500. Four days later (which i thought was strange due to the initial time line i was given of “a week and a half”) Randy called me back and said he fixed the initial problem but that there was another problem that would cost an ADDITIONAL $1100 TO FIX!!! I’m the primary source of income for a family of 5 and i go to school myself. I told Randy i could not afford that!! and that if i’d known there was a possibility for the repair to be over $1000 more than what he originally quoted me i would have chosen a different option. Randy expressed zero compassion over the phone and he even went so far as to get loud with me coldly stating “it is what it is dude!!!” He already had had $500 of my money so i had no choice but to pay and pray for the best. Randy told me the car was drivable and that it would make it home but that EVENTUALLY the catalytic converter would burn out if i didn’t fix the $1100 problem. So i payed the remaining $698 of my balance which Randy REFUSED to budge on and drove my car off his lot. My car barely made it a mile before it stalled in the middle off a busy intersection. I had to push my car off to the side of the road and call a tow truck less than 20 minutes after spending $1200 to a mechanic to fix it. IF I WERE YOU I’D TRY A DIFFERENT MECHANIC!!!
Ive had service here twice, and cancelled service once. They were able to do repairs timely, which was great. Prices seem to be average from the minor services Ive needed, but they charge $125 just for diagnostics if they find something wrong (nothing was wrong for me, so they didnt charge, but that is a huge inhibitor for me, as Ive had plenty places NOT charge anything). My determining factor in not coming back is Randys arrogant attitude and approach. All three times, I left the shop preterbed with Randys sour presumptuousness. Accountability was questionable, as while scheduling my appointment with the secretary, I asked if they could check everything over for an idea of how long certain parts can go without repair (brakes, general parts easily accessible), but when I picked it up, he said that that wasnt written down ahead of time. He did end up being able to quickly recall from a different mechanic that an exam had been done, but only after challenging me. My battery was corroded prior to the appt; he failed to bring this up to me. He wanted me to buy tires from him, and disliked the fact that I could get them elsewhere for cheaper. He pushed this topic for too long, bringing it up twice in hopes Id change my mind. Secretary was nice and answered all of my questions (and then some), but until Randy changes his attitude, I will no longer give them service. Not the most professional mechanic Ive had to resort to.
Ive visited State of the Art twice - once to have my brakes and rotors replaced, and once after to have a noise in those same brakes checked out. I took my car in today to have the noise checked out, and I was assured that if it was an issue with the brakes, and the fault of the mechanics, I wouldnt be charged. They were true to their word, and I walked out of their shop without paying a cent. Their service is great and honest. Keep up the good work!
Randy and Sarah were amazing! At first I was told, on a Tuesday morning, that my car might not be looked at until Friday. Later that Tuesday Randy called me and told me what the problem was and that my car would be fixed and ready Wednesday around noon. Expectations were not high, like normal, when dropping my car off at the mechanics. Needless to say, I had a great experience. I just found my new mechanic. Thanks State of the Art Import Auto Repair!
First experience here with a BMW 5 Series. Friendly, great follow up communication, timely and excellent value on charges for services provided - brakes and oil change. Will certainly be back.
Had my battery replaced and registered. The price was very reasonable.I have nothing bad to say about the service. Ive been suspicious about my brakes and they checked them for no extra charge. The pads were found to be in good shape. Later, I found out it was my brake fluids that was the problem, oh well.Hardest part about coming here is their hours. They open at 8AM and are closed on the weekend.
Excellent service, fair prices, good diagnostics team, honest assessments. Quick repairs. Randy is a great guy.
Randy is the only mechanic I have work on my cars. Hes always fair with the price and the scope of work. Excellent quality and he and Sara and their crew run a great shop!
I accidently called this establishment twice to get an estimate on brakes and the second time the owner stated I see your calling everywhere in town you need to take notes and stop wasting my time. Sorry I always price check any/all work that needs to be done and most of the time the price is not always the determining factor it is a combination of customer service, ratings and price. So with all things considered I will not bring my vehicle to this place the owner is rude and on top of that, I found a much cheaper place with just as high of a rating who wasnt such an a** hole. Thanks but no thanks, sorry not sorry!!!
Friendly, fast and affordable. Neighborhood shop!
I wish I could give this place zero stars! Mechanic was cocky and extremely rude ! I just spoke to him in regards to looking at my car and before i could finish telling him what was wrong he cut me off. He told me I ruined my car and that it wasn’t worth bringing in, And also presumed that I wasn’t smart for driving my car for as long as I did with those issues. I was ready and willing to pay this jerk my hard earned money, but I’m sure somewhere down the line I would’ve had a tiff with himAnd would’ve regretted it … from reading the reviews I see that a lot of people of had issues with his arrogant attitude ... i’m sorry but customer service means a lot to me
Great garage. First class care from Sarah and Randy. Ive taken all my cars there for over a decade.
