I brought my hard-to-find starter off my 1980s skid-loader expecting a long wait getting it rebuilt and lo-and-behold they had it in stock and at a very reasonable price. Definitely will go there in the future. They have alternators and starters for just about anything.

I will never go to an auto parts big box store for anything M J Auto Electric can rebuild.The last alternator I got at advanced auto locked up right on the highway with less than 1000 miles on it.🤬

They are very knowledgeable and always have what Im looking for. Honest and do not push parts that arent needed.

On time, under budget. Literally saved me about $300 for a rebuild-swap, $600 new, or ≈$2500 to have it done in a shop. And they even cleaned the thing to boot...looks like new!Ive been an auto mechanic. I work in IT, but my passion is electronics. I COULD have done the repair myself, I have the skills, but I lack the facilities. I tested the unit (a Bosch/Mercedes alternator) before taking it in. I tested it again before reinstalling it and its all well within spec. Visual inspection shows that they actually used better-than-factory connection techniques (like soldrring/brazing/welding vs just crimping connections). With a fresh charge on the battery the car starts and runs great. I just wish they fixed batteries now, lol! Im a serious DIY-er, but TBH, Ill be taking all my alternator and starter issues to them from now on. Why wouldnt I?Stop reading reviews and shopping around....youre wasting your time. Just take it to these guys. Thank me later.
