Great honest mechanics that can actually troubleshoot and diagnose unlike part swapping clowns at dealerships that can only read codes and continuously change the same part because thats what the book tells them to do. Edwards does exactly what they say they are gonna do. Great family business

After being ignored, and hustled by The Larry H. Miller service centers i was fed up and at a major loss. I had my truck in their shop again and after a few days without a vehicle and a thousand dollars later my truck was still not safe to drive. The people at LHM didnt even address what I took my truck in for in the first place! My in laws told me about Edwards Family Auto, its where they take all their vehicles from Calvary Chapel as well as their personal ones. It was a miracle, and they got me right in said theyd work my truck in Even with short notice and being very busy. They not only listened and fixed my front brakes in a timely and quick manner, but at a third of the cost. I will never take my truck anywhere else from now on. Mike was great and called me to keep me updated and informed. The office staff was amazing and very friendly, and having the peace of mind knowing I can safely have my children in my vehicle Again is priceless! Thank you to Everybody at Edwards Family Auto! I wish I could have found you sooner, amazing people, quality work, fair and honest pricing.

I dont generally like to leave bad reviews but I had some real issues with this place... Brought my car in for a few things and while they did a great job on what they did fix, 2 and a half weeks and 2 grand later they returned my car to me without fixing my rear brakes, which I was told were fixed and were payed for. Just brought it into another machanic that told me they definitely did not do their job. That being said, they were very friendly and seem like hard workers so I wont give them a one star. Just wanted to warn anyone taking it in to double check their work.

We have been here a few times now, had our tail pipe replaced today. They did beautiful work, very quick, efficient, honest men. We were exceptionally pleased with this shop and the way they are upfront about everything and do what is best for you. I had never heard of them but circumstances led us here and for being one to only go to the dealer for repairs, I am pleasantly surprised to have found them for all of our future automotive needs. Will definitely be recommending them to family and friends. If you’re looking for a great place to go, don’t look any further. Give them a shot and you won’t be disappointed.

They are the best honest and fair

These guys are awesome and really helped me out today with a minor issue that I called in about last minute. The way they handled the situation says a lot about their integrity. As a young female I’ve had issues in the past with chain store mechanics trying to fool me into putting money into things that weren’t necessary so I’m a bit weary when I need work done on my car. I’ll definitely be back to this place when more serious issues arise as I feel that they seemed very ethical and kind based on my experience today. Thank you.

We recently moved to the area and as long as we live here, I will never take my car anywhere else! I totally trust them. We have taken our car in twice--the first time they fixed the problem quickly for a very reasonable price. The second time, they looked the car over and upon discovering that no work was actually needed, they charged us nothing and sent us on our way. Rare to find this type of quality, honesty, and good price!

They have done two big repairs for me and did a great job. They are honest and the best value in town.

I was debating putting up a review but feel I have no other options at this point now that Ive sunk a ton of money and time into my car and its worse off than when I came here to begin with. I was referred to Edwards Family Auto for the repair that my car required and trusted them to advise me and provide me with a resolution to my failing engine. Instead I spent approx, 3/4 of the value of my cars resale value trying to get my car back to a dependable state and its far worse now. I even spent additional money after the initial repair hoping to get it properly fixed and thinking they would want to make things right. I was wrong and now have an unreliable car. Very disappointed in this business and feel taken advantage of.

My experience with Edwards family Auto sucked. I called them on Friday the gentleman that I spoke with told me if I had my car into the shop by 2 Monday he would have my power steering fixed took my vehicle there at 9 a.m. when they opened 3:30 rolls around so I decide to call them, only to find out that they had not even looked at my car yet. Ended up taking it to aposhian garage. They had it done within 4 hours Ill never go to Edwards family Auto again

Its hard to find a mechanic you can totally trust, but Ive found that in Mike Edwards. He came highly recommended by a family member and we are glad we took our car there. He fixed it right up and only performed the work we agreed upon. He recommended other work that may be needed and offered pricing. He takes time to explain what is wrong and is very patient with those that dont understand cars. I totally recommend him.Update: My father was visiting from out of town and had some oil leaking. He was worried about driving it back ten hours to his home. Mike checked it all out and told him he would be fine to drive that day and just to take it to the dealer. He didnt even charge my father for the time checking it out. Truly a great family run business.

Most places only get reviewed for terrible service or exceptional service. For Edwards Family Auto it is exceptional service. I have taken 3 cars to Mike over the past 2 years and have had great experiences every time. Mike, Nolan and Barbra are all exceptional.I took my car once to one of the cheap places to get a safety and emissions test done and they gave me a laundry list of suggested repairs that I should have done asap. I took the car to Mike at Edwards Family Auto and he looked through their list and found that only one of their suggested repairs really needed to be done right away. He charged a fair price and was done quickly.It has happened twice that i took my car in outside of operating hours because my car started acting up, and it just so happened that they were there and were more than willing to help me out and not charge me extra for after hours work.This is a shop that really has a long term perspective and understands that if you treat people right and offer great services at a fair price then youll get people coming back and referring their friends and family.Bottom line, I trust Edwards Family Auto.

I was impressed with his knowledge and honesty. He tried the simple solutions first, even though it wouldnt have benefited him. He does high quality work.

I had a blown head gasket. Needed an emission and state inspection. Most shops telling me two weeks. Ed and the boys got it done in 3 days including the machine shop. I was able to leave to Colorado and work on time. I will have them take care of all my automotive needs from here out.

Honest mechanics! Every time I bring my car in they always fix it for way cheaper than anywhere else. Depending on how big the job is they might need to keep your car for a couple days but they take good care of their customers and I wont bring my car anywhere else.

After dinner at Stellas, I came outside to find that my tire was flat. Edwards Family Auto was just down the road, and the bay door was open, so I pulled in. The nice young man inside stopped the paperwork he was doing, and honestly he looked stressed, so Im sure I interrupted something important, but he smiled and said that even though they were closed, he would be happy to help me. He found a screw in my tire, repaired it, and filled the tire with air. When I went to pay him, he wouldnt take my money and told me to have a great day. Wow! Edwards is located a bit far from my home, but Ill be taking my car there from now on.

Ive been taking my cars to Edwards for 6 years now. Theyre always honest and fair. Theyll let you know what needs to be done and what can wait. Ive had quotes from other places and Edwards is always cheaper and they do a better job.

Bad customer service. They fix my truck last month and I took it again today and let them know. That it did the same thing again. And the owner got mad and he think that told him that he didnt do a good job. All I said that my truck got overheard again. Same that happen last time. And kick me out from his shop cause he got mad at me thinking that i blame him. And from it sound like they didnt do a good job like last time. What Im trying to prove here. Is that they dont know how to treat there customers, been a customer here for 4 years and now Im done with there bullsh×t.....

We had an alternator go out in my moms buick about 3 months ago. Edwards replaced it with a new one, which lasted about 3 months. I was in another state when it failed which gave me no option but to replace it on my own. I brought the failed unit back and I was told I couldnt get any money reimbursed for the one I bought, but he would give me a new one. That was not a realistic refund for a defective unit that was already replaced. He absolutely refused to offer any money in return, of which I was only looking for $50 for the unit I bought to replace his unit. Not to mention that the price he charged for the replacement was way out of line for how cheap and easy it was to replace. Bottom line is, I was not aggressive or even argumentative, he was defensive right away and it was very obvious that he was not going to budge. Be weary of the labor and parts charges.

I had car problems and he diagnosed it to be the fan clutch so I paid close to $150 which was more than what they quoted. I called back not once but twice to see if theres a warranty because its making noise, the lady wasnt very polite but took down my info. Neither of them seemed like they wanted to help me. The repair guys are very nice, but the office staff still havent called me back and Ive left my info twice. It also turned out it wasnt even the issue. I was referred to this company by a member of my ward who talked highly of them but that hasnt been the case for me. I wont go back to them for anything that I dont have a warranty on.

It is SO hard to find a good AND honest mechanic but that is exactly what Edwards Family Auto is. We bought our car from there last year, besides one incident, we have had zero problems with it. Mike and his wife are so amazingly nice and so is the crew. About six months ago, we had very dangerous major problem with our break lines. We were worried about driving it out to Mikes shop, so we took it to a Midas and they quoted us nearly $2500!! I called Mikes and we had our car towed down there. Mike discovered that oil had been recently poured into the lines, like within the last hour. I dont have proof obviously but its pretty apparent that Midas had tampered with our car. Anyways, Mike quoted us $400 and that was with a brand new battery, which wasnt in the Midas quote. He was well aware of the amount that Midas had quoted us. He could have easily said 2000 and we would have paid it thinking we were saving 500, but no! He was honest and told us the true problem. Then there are little things like while we were waiting his wife turned on cartoons for my kids and gave them candy. I dont know, that may not seem like much but they are just very aware of the customer.Then, because I love their business so much, I referred my dad to their business. Mike called my dad and said that something else needed to be done on the car but at the time my dad didnt have the money for that repair, so he told Mike to hold off until next payday. Mike instead said that he would do the repair and my dad could pay it back on the next payday (two weeks away!)This company isnt out to swindle people out of their money, they are honest, thoughtful, and really great at what they do. I will forever go to them for every single job on my car and will be heading there to get my car licensed this coming month.

Took my vehicle for some repairs. Ended me costing me more because an inexperience technician work on my vehicle. When I received my vehicle ready for pick up it was leaking fuel because of the poor workmanship. I didnt realize this until I got to work. I ended up going to a dealership because they have certified technicians and not convicts working on my vehicle.

They are extremely busy, but extrememy good.

I couldnt find Edwards Automotive on State Street in SLC and I mistook this mechanic, Edwards Family Automotive, for it. The mix up turned out to be a great thing. Its a family owned an operated shop where their goal is customer satisfaction. I was quoted one price based off of Napa parts, when the parts had to be bought from the dealer at a higher price they stuck with their original estimate. Very friendly business who REALLY knows who keeps them in business.

Very rude and unprofesional loud ironic provocative and offencive.I live very close to his shop had AC fixed on the car, tipped his Brother 20 cose he jumped right on it, plus paid him the askin price. But gave him 100 dollars more by mistake of undercounting my 20 dollar bills that i recognized an hour later.Came back next day to ask if he recognized my mistake of giving him too much he didnt want to even hear it. Cose he knew i was back for that extra 100. He needs it a lot more then i do evidantly, and God help him when his kids need that 100 for medicine.SO DONT GO HERE HE WILL DO ANYTHING SAY ANYTHING AND STILL FROM YOU RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES IF U GIVE HIM A CHANCE.
