I strongly encourage anyone looking to have tint installed both commercial or auto to find another business besides Royal Tinting inc. Please consider all the negative reviews from customers with the understanding the positive views are not likely from actual customers but rather those that are friends and family of the owner. There are some great tinting companies that know what customers service means. Don’t waste your time or money with this company.Thank you Royal Tinting Inc (owner) for providing that response, it will show those looking for tint your true colors. Name calling, falsified story telling and overall disrespect to customers is exactly what you have showcased here in your response. I got my car tinted here a few weeks ago and it looks great! I put 5% tint on the back windows of my sedan and 50% on the front and it made my car look better and I can already see a difference in how it reduces the heat in my car on hot, sunny days. The tint looks professional and well done - it was a quality job. The only thing I didnt like was their customer service. Their attitude made me feel like I was doing them a disservice even though I was paying them and made the appointment well ahead of time. Thats something they could do an easy improvement on but maybe I came in on the guys off day. Regardless, they did a great job and I love how my car looks now.

If you read reviews before you get to a place then you will have ACCURATE EXPECTATIONS. Was the guy up front overly friendly? No. Was he accurate with the description of the service and different upgrades? Yes. Told me to be there at 9 am and the consequences if I didn’t make the appointment which I appreciated.I used the Groupon which only covers 50% tint on the front windows and 50% or 35% tint on the back of the monochromatic option. I went with 50% and 35% and very happy.They got me in the morning and out by the afternoon and walked through the care of the tint over the next few days - so far looks AMAZING.There is a $25 cash sales tax on top of the Groupon.

VERY poor customer service. EXTREMELY rude and condescending. My brother, Nicholas, had an appointment for 2:30 today and when he brought his car in they told him they would not honor his appointment because he had pet hair in the backseat. The person he spoke with told him he would have to go clean his car and reschedule or pay a $75 cancellation fee. These are the only options the guy told my brother about. He did not inform him about the other option to have his vehicle vacuumed by the company for $75 per hour. Due to the unprofessional manor of the employee he decided he did not want to reschedule. **I was very frustrated that he was going to have to pay a cancellation, so I went to speak to them and the two gentleman I spoke with were very rude and treated me disrespectfully. At one point, one of them said, ...it is common sense. Obviously it is not common sense because we didnt understand the requirements that had to be met before the appointment. They have a work order that states the requirements for the cleanliness of the car and I would suggest that if something is going to prevent a service they need to inform the customer ahead of time before the customer provides the company with their credit card number. One of the employees stated that there are so many situations that could cause an issue and they couldnt inform the customer of every possible situation. HOWEVER, this particular situation (pet hair) is stated in the work order! After this interaction I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!!***RESPONSE to owner reply: My review is an honest recollection of what occurred today. The manor of how you portray information should be reflected on. You WERE rude and at one point you said, can you not interrupt me? when I was trying to respond to what you were saying. Our interaction today left me with such a negative feeling that I took the time to write a review. My largest complaint is your professionalism. If you would stop calling everyone a liar who states that you guys are rude and consider adjusting the way in which you communicate with your customers, you might stop getting negative reviews. I just called for a price quote on window tint on my 93 acura integra n the customer service rep was so unprofessional n rude that I was amazed. YOU guys need to train your staff to be respectful. To think I was going to take my cars to get them tinted, you guys lost a customer for life..The fact that I was trying to explain to him what I need done and he straight out told me he didnt care seriously beyond rude. You dont have the services I was looking for that all you need to say there was no need to tell me you dont care what I want

Boat tint was a little spendy but it looks great & very few tint shops wanted to attempt a boat. Ill use these guys again.

Was a little surprised at the price, but I did get higher level tint with a great warranty. The speed and quality of their job was incredible. As someone that has no clue about tint I would have liked more explanation, but overall the staff was great.

So glad I I went with my gut instinct to visit the shop before purchasing GROUPON.While there Nick initially told it would Be Best to Purchase the $169 Groupon Package to Tint my Hyundai Accent 2 Door Hatchback.But... The add-ons-Add $100 for any Standard Tint 50% or Darker-Add $50 since my Hyundai is older than 2005(2003)-Appointments 1 Week Out Since They Only Do 3 Groupon Cars A Day(Car Must Be Dropped Off By 9AM & Left All Day)$320... I didnt stick around for the added Cash Sales Tax I Read about in the Reviews.To be clear I went in with an Open Mind and fully wanted to See Past the Reviews but in the end I decided to go visit a few other Shops in the Area. I politely asked Nick to review my recently detailed commuter car which I pride on being immaculate for the year and he refused and the body language let me know he neither wanted or needed my patronage.I was able to Shop Around get it done as a Walk-In Customer for $175 Total with a Premium Ceramic Film with a Great Warranty from another Shop Im sure will be around for the same amount of time they have been open.I feel this shop Posts the Groupon Special Year Round and banks on Most People not Reading the Fine Print and succumbing to the Upgrades which are really not upgrades at all.Buyer Beware and Visit the Shop Before Scheduling a Non-Refundable Appointment or Pre-Paying for a Classic Bait and Switch Routine.Hope this helps someone. 1 -NO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - VERY RUDE!!! I bought a Groupon for my wifes 4 door sedan to be tinted, her rear windows were already tinted, I paid $149 for the Groupon, I asked if they could just tint the front windows and they said it wouldnt cover the cost of that and I would need to pay more. I asked if I could just cancel and get a refund since I didnt want to pay more to get 2 windows done then the whole car tinted. The guys that work there were rude, and I dont think are happy people in the first place. They told me to leave and good luck getting a refund. I wouldnt use this company if they gave me free tinting! I probably wont get a refund because they mark the Groupon redeemded before you even use it. They feel all powerful and all they did is lose a customer and they really dont care about their business or customers2- This is in reply to you replying to my honest post - I got frustrated because you were unprofessional and rude! I asked to have my front two windows done and you said the Groupon wouldnt cover it, I got upset when you tried to get more money out of me and YOU told me to leave. I tried to get a refund from Groupon and you refused it because you mark the Groupon redeemed before the appointment!!!!!! If you want to apologize to me for treating me rudely and telling me to leave I would listen but you guys (both of you) were rude and unprofessional

Nothing Royal about this place. These guys upset my wife. Very rude and condescending. They took my brother in laws 70 dollar reservation fee and clung to it like they were going out of business, after bragging about working on tens of thousands of cars a year, it seems kind of petty. Dont give these guys your credit card number.

I cant speak to the tinting quality, as I never got the service. Groupon was purchased in May, 2020, and I made 8 attempts to reach the company before the groupon expired in December. Only one of those attempts got a response, and it was a text that said they would call me on Monday, which they never did.Finally, after the Groupon had expired, I contacted the business by text to see if they could do anything to honor the original deal as it had expired due to their lack of communication. 11 days after sending that text, I got a response that the promotional value was not valid. When I brought up the lack of communication, the response was to accuse me of lying and to tell me that they are always responsive, and to suggest it is my fault that they did not return contact.Worst experience Ive ever had with a groupon promotion. Thankfully Groupon did the right thing and refunded me, even though it was past the expiration. This business really should be kicked off the Groupon platform, and the person running the phones should take some basic courses in improving customer service and communication.IN RESPONSE TO THE COMPANYS RESPONSE- I have 0 complaints about Groupon, who actually DID refund me- your response indicates you didnt even read my initial review. My frustration is with the abysmal customer service (Customer service 101: Dont call your customers liars), refusal to be accountable, and poor communication. PSA for everyone else- dont be afraid to reach out to Groupon for support when this jerk tries to blame you for their incompetence.

Royal tinting did a great job at getting me scheduled right away. I am super happy with the quality of the tint and the application of it. It has been a few months later and it still looks brand new.

Great employees. Great work. The front office guy is Lazy and definitely not a people person. The guy did not took the time to explain prices and how it will affect on the product you buy. He was very dry and made it feel like shopping there is like the wrong place to work at. Other then that prices are to expensive and horrible service. Recommend switching people soon.

Great service and great quality window tint, I’ve had 2 of my vehicles tinted by them and absolutely love it! Keeps my car nice and cool in the summer, and my leather seats aren’t burning hot after sitting in the sun all day.

The guy running the front is EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. I also think it’s very overpriced for what they did. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place even if they were offering free tint. Very disappointed and kinda wish I would have gone somewhere else

My initial phone call was good. I had to reschedule this morning & this was done professionally. I am not impressed with the attitude that was shown when I brought my car in this morning. I was advised that I have had my windows tinted before & there was amounts of glue on the window. $75.00 per hour, 1 hour minimum to remove this, that is ridiculous. I had a few dog smudges on the front window & this was an imperfection on the front drivers window. Simply use Windex to remove, I am now aware that I need to wash everything before going in. But the sales person was adamant that I had my windows tinted before. I purchased the car new & the back window was broken out & replaced, this is wear the small amounts of glue came in to play. But he kept saying my windows had been tinted before. I purchased my car, new still on the truck. I dont get the problem nor why he insisted to argue with me when I advised I have never had tint on my windows. I am not suggesting to not check this company out to anyone, but when a customer is trying to explain something, then listen, dont keep telling me I have had tint done before & a few smudges of glue are so expensive to remove. Instead of being rude, try working something out. Just an idea. thanks. I am sure you know who I was, I came in at 9:45a.

I got a Groupon for my husbands car after I paid FULL price for my tint at their Midvale location. I was fairly happy with my tint, but I wasnt happy about how dirty my car was when I picked it up. We went in this morning, I asked a very basic question if the tint was on the inside or the outside of the car because mine had a chunk missing after a weekend camping trip. Without asking which tint level I got, the guy told me that it wasnt covered under my warranty. Not sure if he remembered me or what but it felt like a very cold response. Very cocky as if I should have known or something. Anyway, I had my husband come in after I let him know that the tint goes on the inside of the window. The man at the counter explained that the groupon only covered basic tint covering and to get a higher shade, it was going to cost $75 extra. Ok? I thought I had a promo value of a lot higher than that but ok...so we decided to go as dark as we could on the back and pay the extra $75. The guy fills out our information on his paperwork and asks if text or call is ok? My husband responds he usually doesnt answer calls so text would be better. The guy looked at him rudely like it wasnt ok? Whatever. So then he tells my husband to read over the paper and sign. My husband says he doesnt want to read it all but asked if he could summarize it for him? The guy stares at him and says well, Im not going to read it to you. My husband wasnt asking for the guy to read it to him, but literally summarize what he was about to sign. Guess thats too hard. Your job is customer service, sir, not be a fruit loop to your customers. Im sure the business owner will respond that none of this ever happened and how we are in the wrong for all of this, but he is so rude, cocky, and unprofessional I would highly suggest taking your business elsewhere. I will NEVER use this company again. I never write reviews, but our experience was so bad that I felt I needed to warn others of the experience we had. If you enjoy someone belittling you for asking questions and overall treating you like they dont need your business, then this is the company for you! I hope the owner takes into consideration how he treats people and maybe treats the next customer with a little more grace and kindness. Your business will go a LOT farther, bud.

Very dishonest and rude. Took our money without giving us service.They redeemed our groupon before we came in to have the work done.They only had to do 2 of the 5 windows that the groupon covered but decided that they wanted more money for half the work. This decision made no sense but we didnt have time to argue...had to get to work. Since we didnt want to pay more money for half the work we left without getting any work done, but they are keeping our money because they redeemed the groupon a day before we came in to have the work done so we were out of their 24 hour refund policy window. They basicly stole our $150 with this shady practice.

We wanted some windows frosted in our office. I was referred to Royal Tinting by a friend. They answered all of my questions and communicated very well. They also were able to offer that our logo to be cut out in the frosting which added a classy touch. We are very happy with the work they did!

Walked in this afternoon and left less than an hour later with a quality tint job on my Sierra crew cab. Way better than any other place I’ve been to in Salt Lake. I’ll be back to get my Jeep done soon!

Had my windows tinted several months ago and am very satisfied with the work done. A great price for the warranty and the product. They educate you what not to do and let the bubbles work their way out just like all tint jobs. A nice clean look and enhances every aspect of the car. Highly recommend this place. Easy to work with and really knowledgeable to get you what looks best on your car.

Business was quick and easy got my tints done in a timely manner. Nothing felt forced, it all just happened so naturally.

Tried charging me 75 dollars an hour to remove the back tint on my 4 door sedan saying it averages 2-3 hours to remove..... my other shop in Los angles charged me 50$ total to remove the tint off my 5th gen Camaro which is waaaaaaay harder to work with and took them 30 minutes without damaging the heat strippings. Don’t use this shop horrible rip offResponse-------So you were trying to upsell the hours? I was told it was going to take 2-3 hours just to remove tint so that seemed very odd to me nothing about installing tint as well. Thats also very bold of you to assume I dont understand the process. How about you spend more time training your phone service so issues like this dont happen to begin with, just a thought. I stand with my first review :)

These guys a quick and professional! The appointment was quoted to take about two hours for my crew cab truck, 45 minutes later they had my ride ready to go. I will definitely suggest going with their more expensive tints for climate control keeping not only the light out but the heat! Plus the S7 and S9 packages come with a no fault warranty!!

This was my first time getting a tint job for my car. I had a great experience as I went in there with no idea on what to get. Nate did a great job at explaining tint qualities, prices, and heat rejection differences for each one.I picked what I thought best for my needs and after a couple hours wait I left with a tint with no bubbles and perfectly aligned.The only thing I noticed were the corner cut outs of the windows front seats slightly crooked, but nothing worth of taking the car back to the shop.Nate may not have the most friendly approach for some, but he will take the time to explain what is best and you will leave with a quality tint job. I would not take my car somewhere else.

I purchased a groupon and did everything by the voucher and we get there for the appointment and the guy said he couldn’t do it that day instead bragging about a more expensive job, and on top of that he was going to charge us more and literally didn’t listen to us about what service we wanted and all he said we the customer was wrong and they’re right, I strongly don’t recommend this place!Also we asked for our refund and they said they don’t do refunds so if you want to get screwed over go to royal tinting in Midvale!

Had a great experience with royal tinting today. Went in to do my Toyota Corolla expecting to just walk in and only really have one option not really knowing about all the different tint options. Well I had Nate help me out and help me understand that there is a huge difference in the quality of the tint that you select. If you select the cheapest tint that they offer one it’s not a bad tint and it’s still better quality then you would receive at a dealer. Also that it will not give you the same heat rejection as some of the more high quality tint. Need less to say I was able to upgrade to a high quality tint which was the phantom S9 with the best warranty and heat rejection probably anywhere in the state of Utah. They are also great in the fact that they are very military and first responders friendly and I thank you Jesse and Nate for that. Thanks for the great experience and awesome quality of work today guys and I will definitely be coming back.

Ive now had two vehicles tinted here, one five years ago and one recently. Both still look perfect. Reasonable price with lifetime warranties. Professional service I would trust again and again.

I went in because I purchased the Groupon and was very impressed with the service and the work done on my car. They did offer me to purchase an up grade in the tint but werent pushy about it at all. Nate the owner was very nice and knowledgeable. This is my first time tinting my windows and he helped me to see and know what the differences were in the quality and shade of the tint. I will always go there and recommend my friends and family. I was treated better than I ever have been at any other garage or body shop. I feel supporting honest and hard working businesses like Royal Tinting builds our community.

My mother wanted to get her car tinted so that my son would have a more comfortable time on his rides with Grandma. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping her out and I greatly appreciate it. The job was very well done, I was incredibly impressed by the final product. Person on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. Wanted to give this place a chance but apparently because of this experience I will not. Just put it this way as soon as I got off the phone I went straight to this to share my experience. There are 2 reasons why people would review a business or service. 1 because they either love it or 2 they hate their experience. I hated mines would not recommend. I was at royal tinting when tanner came in to have his front doors tinted. They simply informed him that his Windows were already tinted. Cant believe that ids royal tinting fault that Windows were already tinted. Royal Tinting has tinted all my Windows. Always great and you will not find a better bang for the buck tint any where else in this state. Highly recommend royal tinting.

I had Royal Tinting tint and put a clear bra on my car and they did a great job! There was a small mistake in the tint on the back window that I didnt notice for a week or so. Evidently I had some old tint on my car that has been sitting there for ages (as it was bought used) so it faded completely and I had no idea I even had tint on it. I left to run some errands during my appointment while the tint was getting done and these guys were nice enough to remove the tint and didnt charge me for it because I hadnt known about it. I appreciate the generosity and my car looks great!

I was looking to have the windows on my new 2018 Dodge Charger tinted so I called Royal Tinting, not once, not twice, but three times. Never spoke to anyone but did leave three messages on their machine / system and never once got a call back. Found a place in AF that did it for $200 and it came out looking like a champ. I had the money to spend, they just didnt want my money apparently. So if you have to leave a message? Call elsewhere and dont wait around.

So I came here because of two reasons. First a friends suggestion due to he had has had this type of service before. Second when I called they told me that they could get it done quick and for a decent price. I never really plan on paying what i get quoted over the phone though so dont be rough on a business just because of what you get quoted isnt the same. I did how ever get a better product than the one i was quoted at a about a hundred dollars more with tax than the lesser quality product before tax. I feel that they are honest about there service and quality just because of the way I was talk to not talked at. I have never had a tint job done on any of my cars. I was easier than I thought.

I had an appointment at 9a and am driving away 30 minutes later. Great customer service, very clean waiting room (with WIFI), and the quality of the window tint looks great. I highly recommend Royal Tinting.

The ceramic tint they provide is good quality, but thats the only benefit of this shop. If you buy a Groupon deal they charge $30 per step-up in tint quality just for the front doors, which means it could be an extra $90 on top of whatever the Groupon costs. A full car tint will be even more for their upgraded tint (which is really the only tint they recommend). Plus, they only allow one Groupon per household (even though it says valid for New Customers and not Per Household on the Groupon fine print), which means I couldnt use a second Groupon for my wifes car and now have to try to get a refund from Groupon for what I already paid. There are a ton of other fine print annoyances. Better to just go somewhere without a deal and get whats actually advertised. Id avoid this place if I were you and save yourself the headache of the disappointment, bad service and annoying fine print youll have to deal with here.

Bought a Groupon for the standard dye film AT Smoke and was educated on the different tints and how they protect differently. I decided to upgrade the the film DarkMatter that would better fit my needs as well block out more sun light during the summer months. Fantastic professional care of my truck, laid out how they would apply the tint and how to care for it after. I am extremely satisfied how the tint turned out on my 2015 Tundra Limited edition Toyota. I would recommend Royal Tinting.

Ive had many many places tint my cars but royal tinting is by far the best place to tint your windows, I didnt even know they had different kinds of film until he explained to me what they were. Im really happy with the work they did my car now is always cool inside cause of the ceramic tint they put on it, I would recommend this place to anybody great people, great services, happy to explain to you all the kinds of tint they have available really loved my experience with them...

After talking to him for 30 sec I knew Idid not want him touching my car. After royal read this review the owner called me and threatened to sue me for defamation. Buyer beware. (And to reply to the owner for no other reason but for the way he handles himself. His sales tactics are terrible he told me how awful his lowest grade of tint was to force you into upgrading. I have no trouble in paying for upgrades in fact I ended up going to another shop and upgrading to their highest grade film. It all comes down to the way he handles himself. )

Worst Sales Guys ever. I work in sales and would never treat customers the way these guys do. Hope the owner knows how much business he is losing out of the gate. Word of mouth works both ways..They were flat out unhelpful and rude..nickel and dime experts. Completely give phony information. Highly recommend NOT utilizing their services ever. Taking our business elsewhere.

The car looks great ! They offered a groupon deal that was super easy to work with. They called right when the car was finished and explained in detail what each film would do for our car.Great experience !

Royal Tinting did my Hyundai Sonata, very fast response when I was emailing for estimates, much faster than any other shop i had emailed, some of which never even replied. They have many options, ranging from a more basic tint on up to the more elaborate highest heat rejection ceramic film. After seeing the display in their showroom, and talking with Nate about the different options, I choose to go with the Llumar ctx ceramic tint. Looks amazing. I also had them do the clear bra (called Royal Guard) on my hood and fenders also. I was very surprised overall how quickly they got me in and out and their overall customer service was amazing. Thanks again Royal Tinting. I will be back.

I got my tint done 7 years ago with them and it was great experience, I have even recommended them since for tinting services. The tint went bad (as they do) and I inquired about a warranty. I needed to hold onto a warranty card (which I didnt) so I was S.O.L. my bad.. My wife found a groupon for tinting so I called and scheduled my appointment. Turns out the film the groupon was valid for was no more... $30-$40 would get me the next level up. I inquired again about the current tint they installed and the poor quality and asked what the warranty on this new tint was.He explained the warranty and then clarified that I had current tint that would need to be removed. I told him yes (knowing there would be some costs to this, hoping they would take care of a loyal customer) he proceeded to tell me it was going to cost between $135-$210 to remove the tint and that I couldnt make an appointment I had to leave the car all day. I scoffed and said wow some deal where he then, like a child or Comcast service employee proceeded to through a fit and escalate the situation instead of being a proper business/decent human being and see what he could do to make the deal. Through his little tiff he threw he told me to feel free to refund the voucher. the best advice I have gotten all week! I will never get services from this establishment again and I will never recommend you to anyone. In fact, I will recommend people stay away from your business and will be writing a review anywhere i can to warn of this terrible service. Good luck gentlemen. Wish we could have worked something out.

I help run the largest Subaru community in the rocky mountain area and I can proudly say that I have referred hundreds of people AWAY from Royal Tinting. My wife decided to get me a tint from Royal for Valentines day last year and the amount of hassle and headaches I had to deal with was insane. Visited the place ~3 times for them to attempt to fix a banner issue and the whole cutting out the tint to show my third brake light instead of asking/talking about it was utter crap.

Great service and quality! Never had a problem with the staff doing tint, audio, and HID retrofit in my car. Any issues that have arisen theyve fixed and corrected, and have handled any warranting without a problem or hassle.
