My son has been with Westwind for two years and it has been such a great experience. My son is about to turn five and he is already learning self-defense and discipline. Ms. Marion is a great instructor, my son really looks forward to attending her class every week, she makes karate both fun and educational. Thank you for being great!!

Big Weak Man Friendly!I have only positive things to say about WestWind Karate. As a very large man (wide, not tall) I had concerns about starting karate at age 39. And at 330lbs, I struggle still doing push-ups and sit-ups and the other exercises, but I do my best and I’ve never been made to feel like I’m not good enough. It is very positive and inclusive learning environment. And a great way to stay active and learn new things. The instructors are all great and well experienced. They teach good values.

We’ve been doing karate here for 2 years. My kids love it! My oldest has grown so much in her confidence and skills and has said she feels like she has a place where she belongs. The instructors are amazing and so aware of each student’s strengths and build on that. They are so positive with my kids and I’m so grateful for what they have taught them.

I like westwend karate. I learn new things. I feel happy to go to class, and I work hard. It just makes me so happy learning new things in karate. Really like it I really like my teachers Mr. Glover, Miss Ryan, and Mr. Mangum. I’m 7 and I’ve been doing karate for 2 1/2 years. I started in the basic skills class and I am now in a purple belt in the karate class. This is a great school.

Westwind Karate is awesome and you should join if you are not already in.As an adult I love coming to class with my son, its a great time together and I love all the skills Im learning.The teachers are great and very detailed in their lessons so I always feel that Im getting a great education.

We started karate classes for our 6 year old daughter a month ago and we have really loved the teacher and all of the staff.We have now been in the program for over 1 year and we are really enjoying the skills that our daughter is learning. The teachers and staff are friendly and do an amazing job with the kids!Update after year 2... Our daughter still loves going, even now that the lessons are more challenging intense. They work hard to make class interesting, applicable, and fun.They are contract based, so you do sign up for a full year, with annual or monthly payments. they are flexible with early termination under extenuating circumstances.

The teachers are amazing, by definition, the building is clean and comfortable for parents to wait with the kids, and the classes have improved my sons confidence self control, and given him something unique to be proud of. We have all made new friends, and really enjoy being involved with this center. 5 stars all the way!!

My daughter has been coming here for over 2 years and she LOVES it! She has learned so much and she is proud of what she does. Mr. Mangum and Mr. Glover are really good with her and challenger her. They push her harder because she has some huge goals. She earns her belts. She isnt handed belts.

We have loved WestWind Karate! My son has grown physically and mentally over the past year. He has opened up more and has learned self-control. This place is amazing, with an outstanding instructor. Mr. Mangum is patient and understanding. I have two children who look forward to every class. They had so much fun they got me to join recently. A family that kicks together, sticks together. You will love all of the great programs and classes they offer.

Kids have a great time playing games that are fun but have a purpose. Mr. Mangum is fantastic with the kids. He never loses his patience, and Becky loves him. They have a great program and even their promotions seem to have a purpose behind them (Kick it Forward, Buddy Week, Anti-bullying assemblies, etc)

Our family of four all enjoy Karate we are about to hit our 1 yr anniversary since we started and it has helped our boys, with discipline, patience, courage. We all love to do it together! The teachers are great, they put in as much effort as you are willing to put in to help you achieve your goals.

Its been a bit over a year when I personally started, all this while my son was already taking early skills classes, followed by my husband. I could tell you all day what an amazing experience it has been since my family and I decided to learn karate.The instructors are incredibly patience and skillful, amazing selected people that not only teaches you martial art techniques but also the value of focus, encouraging balance and energy in all we do sharing their knowledge and to be a better martial artist day by day.I recommend Westwind Karate school to everyone who ever loved martial arts, self defense or wants something secretly amazing to stay fit, focus and strong, youll love it more everyday here.

I started having my son, Camillo, attend classes almost 3 years ago. We were previously at the Kearns location and due to a move we ended up a Midvale, where my son was skeptical that he would like it as much. The teachers proved him wrong as they have repeatedly earned our love and respect! We LOVE LOVE LOVE Mr. Glover (eldest) and Mr. Mangum is always a great teacher to have around when looking for some parental advice! My son just graduated from the Skills program and is looking forward to years in the Karate/Black belt program!!!

Both my daughters have been doing karate at West Wind for 2 years now and we love it. The instructors at all 3 schools are amazing. My kids are getting so much more than physical activity, they are seeing positive role models, gaining confidence, learning to defend themselves and others, and learning how to be a good person thoruhg the weekly values.

Our daughter started Westwind Kearns last year. She is now getting ready for her Purple Belt Exam. She has loved it so much and it has given her so much confidence. She has been so much more pleasant to be around because instead of just blowing up and getting mad all the time, she stops to think about if what is making her mad is worth the drama. She loves all the teachers and even said she feels like they are family. My husband and I love the atmosphere and love to see that the teachers are all so amazing with the kids. They have patience, understanding, and great love for the kids. We have told everyone we know about the love we have for Westwind and encourage all to check it out. My husbands favorite part is that when she turns 16 and starts to date that she will be prepared and protected and that he or the older brothers wont have to go to prison for anyone messing with his baby, because she will be able to defend herself.

My son has been here since 2016 and absolutely loves it! He enjoys moving up the ranks and looks forward to getting his black belt, we love the teachers and the family atmosphere! This is one of my favorite places to take my son. Its safe, fun and the values they uphold are awesome......update from a year ago, my son still attends wwks and still loves it he has moved up in all ways and not just in the program itself i can not say enough about the teachers. they are everything and with out them the place wouldnt be the same
