I saw Roy today 9/27/2021. Had not seen a good tax accountant since I last saw Roy at his previous location. So Roy has to do a few amended returns and 2020 return for me.Roy is trustworthy, understood my needs and concerns. So glad I found him once more.

Roy gave me great advice on a financial issue I was having. I feel so relieved after speaking to him. He was very attentive and helpful in my situation.

As you can imagine, it is very nerve wracking to have to deal with the IRS and with Paramount Tax & Accounting that anxiety completely goes away. They have been great to work with, very helpful and extremely competent. I feel lucky to have found them.

This place was amazing. I have been doing my taxes with turbo tax for the last few years. My situation changed this year and turbo tax said I was going to owe around 6000 dollars. I took it to these guys and they ended up getting me a refund of over 4000 dollars!!

The absolute worst experience. No follow up and my taxes were done wrong and I never got my refund. They also took their payment from my return that I paid them upfront. FRAUD!!!!!! Pretentious as all get out too. Steer clear!

I dont submit reviews often, however since I relied on the reviews when deciding to give Paramount in Midvale a try I figured a review was in order.I contacted Chris at Paramount on 1/5/21 and scheduled a phone consultation with Josh for 1/8/21 to see if he could file trust taxes for a trust I am the trustee over. Both Chris and Josh seemed friendly and Josh seemed knowledgeable at the time. I was set up on a secure portal to upload the trust to. I uploaded the trust on 1/8/21. I was told by Josh he would review the trust and let me know what else was needed and if the trust needed to file taxes. I did think it was odd that he only wanted the trust and no other documents but knowing nothing about trust taxes I figured it was a start. I uploaded the documents on 1/8/21. On 1/12/21 I called and spoke with Chris to confirm they were received, Chris said he would print it and give it to Josh to review.On 1/19/21 I called since I had not heard anything. I was anxious to know if theyd be able to help me or if I needed to find another CPA as I did not know if the K1 form for beneficiaries was due by 1/31/21 and expressed this concern. Chris said Josh would review the trust and respond to me by the end of the week. It has been another 2 weeks and I have not heard or received anything from them.I have since found another CPA who asked for the trust and much more, very detailed, has already completed the trust taxes and is just waiting on the IRS to finalize forms before they can submit them. This other CPA charged $495, Josh told me to file for the trust would probably be $2,000.I called Chris today and advised him to delete the trust file, shred what was printed and that I would not be using them since they were not responsive. Chris response was, Okay, thank you, goodbye and he abruptly hung up. No apology at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Paramount Tax in Midvale.UPDATE: I can understand that January is a busy time getting W2’s and 1099’s out however I was never told that my trust would not be able to be reviewed until after January. On 1/19/21 I was told I’d receive a response by end of week. Had the expectations been clear I would have understood. I was clear that I was anxious to receive a response, I’m sorry Paramount Tax misunderstood this.

This was my first year as an independent contractor and I felt overwhelmed on what to do and where to start. Josh explained everything I had questions about and got me a better return than expected. Thanks again, - Arianna D.

Id love to say they are good or bad at their job, but I honestly after 3 months never got them to do their job. Not...one...single...thing. Was told once in an email have you something next week. That was 6 weeks ago, crickets since then. Now Ive missed out on the stimulus because of it, an nowhere on my 2019 taxes and have to start from scratch.Hire at your own risk...(side note, I used Paramount in Draper the previous two years and was pleased...seems theres a HUGE different in the locations)
