Had my 2002 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo S Had them put on a new FRANKENTURBO. They say they dont work with aftermarket parts but they put my FRANKENTURBO F21. I think they did a good job! Really wasnt a direct bolt on.

I would definitely give a big shout to Chris and his team . I have been nothing but fully satisfied . I love the tunes that are on my ride and I love the intake as well . This is has been such a great experience for me . I’m learning so much about what can be done to this 2.0 . More to come for sure . Thanks everyone there . Coming back in soon though . Chris and his team were amazing in applying a noelle performance tune on my 2019 m5 competition, and excelled in customer service the entire way through. About 5 hours later I came back via their shuttle service and left satisfied.

I have a 2005 Porsche and go to Alexs for all of my needs. They are SO incredible. Last month I took it in for an Oil Change and instead of making me wait for the service to be done, they gave me a ride home and I piked up the car later. They are honest and fabulous.

I took my car down to Alex’s 2018 Audi A3 when I brought it in I had no problems what’s so ever. I had them do the is38 turbo and tune stage 3. They put it in and the second they finish it starts miss firing and a bunch of problems I had it in there for 3 weeks never picked it up because it kept having problems next thing you know my engine is blown and ofc they say it’s my fault but did no pre assessment or anything worst place I have ever takin my car too now I’m out a car and they won’t do any thing to help fix it.

I had Alexs Autohaus replace my manifold with catalytic converter about a year and a half ago. A few weeks ago it developed a strong leak and my kids took a sudden new-found interest in the car. I called the shop and they said that the part was still under warranty. They replaced the part and didnt charge me anything and seemed happy to do it, even though Im sure that at least the labor came at a cost to them. Wow. Thanks guys!

Staff is very friendly, I was treated well. They are very competent and exceptionally knowledgeable with European cars. I thought I needed new brakes, but they are very honest and told me I have plenty of life left in them. They were quick with an oil change. Their shuttle service was very kind and friendly. Ian and his tuning crew took great care of me getting my DINAN suspension and performance tune installed. They were very knowledgeable and ensured that everything was running beautifully before I took final delivery.

I came into Alexs for a tune on my 2012 Audi. My turbo blew as I left the shop. Came back and they gave me a repair estimate of over $6000. It included a new turbo, new motor mounts, timing cover seal, and a host of other things. Took it to a different mechanic who replaced my turbo with an OEM one for $1500, resealed the timing cover for $100, The bad motor mounts was a straight up lie and the only other thing the car needed was an o2 sensor. On top of that, the tune didnt make any noticeable difference and had misfires at idle. Flashed it back to stock and it was perfect. These guys write absolutely ridiculous estimates that are worse than the stealership and the tune they gave me was a complete waste of $600.

*** Update 8/11/2021 I am filing a complaint with the Utah Department of Commerce Division of Consumer Protection to investigate FRAUD, and possibly Legal Action soon. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.**I really wanted to like this place. I gave them a couple of chances, I’ll never come here again. I brought my Range Rover here for some suspension/alignment work, oil change, an issue with the driver side door, and because there was a service required light on (which they told me all was needed was an oil change..) Soon as I picked it up from them, the service light was still on, the alignment was CLEARLY still off, and the suspension/drive axels would still make the same noises occasionally. I didn’t go back in to address it as I was upset, and thought I’d wait for my next appointment with them to bring it up. Thank god I missed that appointment.Today (a month later) I am sitting at the Land Rover Dealership writing this review. Land Rover pulled 2 codes as the reason the Service Light was on, which was never addressed by Alex Autohaus. Alex Autohaus quoted me $1,000 for the issue with the door, and told me it would take a few days. Today it costed me only $128 to fix what Alex Autohaus said was a $1,000 issue in ONLY 1 hour. Land Rover is also addressing the issues with the alignment/steering, that should have been fixed. Other than the incompetence of the technicians they have working there, the times they quote for their work, even a simple diagnosis, seem absolutely absurd and long (a few days each time). The car was also always dirty when I picked it up. I get that they are mechanics and dirt/residue may transfer but its little details like that, that set others apart.I’m not quite sure what is going on there but the logistics of this business seem to be all over the place. No one knows what’s going on, timing is a complete nightmare, quality is absolutely atrocious, and cars are pancaked on top of each other (I also noticed a few door dings, I know this because I detail my car myself weekly, and know every single panel on it) Never again. I learned my lesson, and my expectations were maybe too high to be met.

Had an ecu replaced and programmed. No one else, not even audi, had been able to get a replacement ecu. Alexs Autohaus came through for me quickly and at a very affordable cost.

I had a Dsg tune installed and decided to upgrade my JB4 to a tune from IE and it completely transformed my car. Ian was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products. 10/10 recommend.

Took my Jetta in for a shake. After paying them $150 just to diagnose the problem they came back and told me I had a trundle of issues. $1100 dollars later they called and said that the actual problem was a CV axle. $350 more dollars and the problem was solved. Turns out I only needed $350 worth of repairs. What is the point of paying them $150 to diagnose the problem if they are going to misdiagnose the problem and charge me to fix things that are not the purpose of me bringing in the vehicle. I’m not saying the items they fixed weren’t bad but they were not the reason I took my vehicle in. All in all a super disappointing experience

I came without an appointment and before they had even opened for the day hopeful that they might be able to sneak me in. They opened a few minutes early for me and very quickly took care of my car. Ian was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and fixed my car perfectly and offered other help and advice for my car that was extremely useful. Everyone was great. I’m definitely coming back for future car needs!

I have a TDI Q7 that needed addblue put in. 3 gallons at the most. The shop wanted to charge me $60 to open the tank and put 3 gallons at $17/gallon for a total of $120 to put 3 gallons into a tank. What a joke. Plus they want $175 to change oil in my s4. My usual shop doesn’t charge me anything to put addblue in and if it’s not being serviced they charge a lot less per gallon for the ingredient. Major rip off and I would never use this shop!

Let me start by saying these guys are not cheap, however they are worth the price. They took my stock a4 and turned it into a little sti smoking rocket. Im in love with the outcome. I got a Dinan stage III tune done to my BMW X5 with the TwinTurbo V8 motor. I was skeptical that the tune would really give my Beamer another hundred horsepower. If you’re skeptical about Dinan tunes I can tell you right now that it makes a huge difference in horsepower and torque. I can’t even believe how much more power my BMW has now. Great job guys.

I went here for a APR Stage 1 tune on my Jetta. They were finished in less than an hour, very courteous and informative about other modifications I could do. The car has much better performance but still very drivable.

In all the quality of the work on our Audi appears to be excellent. Speed of service outstanding. Lenore was very helpful in dealing with an extended warranty provider saving us a substantial amount of money. Only small negative is that more parking is needed and shade is nonexistent. The car was unbearably hot when we picked it up and the AC could not over come it. Otherwise we are pleased with Alexs Autohaus and will return if needed.

Overcrowded parking! Cars are not safeA few years ago They left huge scratch on my my rear bumper and did a poor job of Buffing out, when I spent close to 4K on my car with them. recently brought it back to have some things looked at that they already fixed and they were not willing to help me instead gave me another $800 bill.

Way overpriced, paid over $60 just to have them look at my car. Went to Angel at European & Japanese Auto Repair, he quoted me less to fix both of the issues my car had then they did to fix one. Didn’t have to pay anything to get it looked at and when I went to pick it up they said it was going to be less then originally quoted. Go to the honest guys, don’t get pushed around.

Just had my car tuned here. APR STAGE 2 on my audi a3 super quick process, Chris answered any questions I had and is super knowledgeable. Car runs amazing and over all experience was great. Would definitely recommend and come back.

I dropped off my 2008 BMW for a diagnostic why it wouldnt start. First they said it had a bad starter. I just had it replaced,a so that wasnt it. They then wanted to replace my BWM wiring harness. I picked the car up and had the battery isolation switch replaced somewhere else for less than what they charged me for a diagnostic. They didnt even look at some obvious things to advise me, just wanted $300 from me. This was the second time they have proven to me that they are incompetent, unqualified and dishonest. Ill recommend to everybody to stay away.

They went above and beyond the diagnosis checking and cleaning parts as they dug into the issue. They also test drive the car to make sure the issue was fixed. I took my BMW here. They quoted me OVER 3k for my repairs. When I came to get my car to get another shop to look at it. Alex’s charged me $300 just for the diagnosis. The other shop took a look at my car for FREE! They then fixed my car (same day) for UNDER $800 dollars! It runs perfectly and has no issues. I would never go back to this place again. They know who their clients are and try to take advantage. What scam artists!

First off, this place is amazing with their customer service. Ian helped me through email on numerous questions for future upgrades I want to do to my car. They even dropped me off at my house down the street while I was having some ar20s welded in. So far I have experienced quality work and a very friendly staff and will be coming back for more. My awful experience at this auto shop actually happened about 2-3 years ago. What has prompted me to write this review is the continuous discoveries of damage caused by them to my 2012 golf r. I hope that I will explain the story in as best and accurate detail as I can. This all started when I brought my car to Alexs for a clutch job. Everything went smoothly. Put the clutch. Got the car back. After driving it for roughly a month, I went to check under the car and saw that there was axle grease splattered all over the underside of my car coming from both axles. I immediately drove it down to Alexs and as I pull in to the parking lot and reverse into a spot, I hear a pretty loud thud from underneath the car. As I get out theres transmission fluid leaking out all over the ground. What I am told is that the axle bolts were not torqued down. I could be wrong on this next part, but a bracket that hung above one of the axles also came loose and ended up cracking my transmission case. And this isnt just a crack. Its the same size as the thickness of this bracket. The crack is maybe ~3-5 mm thick and 2-3 inches long. What they end up trying to do is weld this thing shut on my aluminum transmission case. I tell them that I am not comfortable with it, but they press me to go with it and that everything will be fine. After 1-2 weeks they tell me their welder says he cant do it. Now they are trying to find a used case for me online. After 2 months of being told false ready dates multiple times, its finally fixed. As I drive for maybe a mile, I realize the liner in the wheel well is rubbing against my tire and theres now a giant hold rubbed through it. I bring it back and they put a new liner in it. As I drive back home I notice my shifts feel a bit different than they did before. Now its vague to explain how different, but Ill put it this way. Those of you who drive vw/audi manual cars will understand. When putting the car into reverse, the shifter would slide back to the right so far that it pop back up, past the point where you would have to push the shifter down to even get to reverse. So, I pop the hood just to look if theres anything else wrong that I can see with my naked eyes. Well my intake clamps that attach to my turbo inlet arent even tightened and are just hanging there. There may have been some other random little things I noticed because at this point, Im pretty paranoid about anything else thats messed up. Anyway I go back to explain this shifter problem and Im basically waved off by chris saying that its just my short shifter wearing down all the shifter parts and theres nothing they can do to help. WELL IT DIDNT DO THAT BEFORE I JUST HAD MY TRANSMISSION WORKED ON. It was obvious they had enough of me and I was done having this shop destroy my car. Whatever moving on. This brings me to today. I was having my car looked at and the tech noticed the oil return line on my turbo, right above on of the axles is severely kinked. I have had NO transmission work done whatsoever since then. Maybe it wasnt them, maybe it was. Accusing them on a review is probably not the best thing to do, but honestly theres been more nonsense since then Im simply not going to allow this shop and other people to go here thinking this is an honest place because its not. Yes they covered the job for the transmission case, but going to them just lead to problem after problem. Take what you want from my angry, biased rant. I highly recommend going anywhere other than here.

The staff at Alexs Autohaus provided excellent service with the replacement of the turbos on my BMW. I was impressed by their expertise when considering OEM replacement vs aftermarket upgrades. They provided me a loaner car while mine was down. They were very courteous and responsive to my many questions..... I will go back to them in the future.

My car was done when it was suppose to be. They did find another part that was almost gone, and checked with me before installing it. So far, I have been very pleased with any and all work done here.

I took my Audi Q5 into the shop because the check engine light was on. This was a week before Christmas. Ian performed a very in depth diagnostic inspection on the engine. I brought in my Audi a couple of months back with a failing transmission and had them put in a used transmission. After getting the car back the transmission was still slipping, I brought it back in and they told me this one was failing as well and put another transmission in. I get the car back for the second time and this transmission is failing as well so I’m going to have to bring it in yet again.... However the employees have always been very kind and always have great customer service.

I should communicate that I didn’t have any work done to my car, I only had Alex’s run a full diagnostic on my Volkswagen Westfalia. The staff was super professional and from what I could tell, very honest. It was a bit out of my price range, but I couldn’t really fault them for that. Great service, great communication. And they never once made me feel pressured.

Called and they were helpful. They couldnt fit a bigger truck in their bay but recommended another place that could.

These jokers ruined my transmission a couple years ago. Transmission had all kinds of problems after servicing which they blamed on these things can happen when you change transmission fluid. Come to find out the jokers put CVT transmission fluid in my non-CVT transmission car. Avoid like the plague.

Decent repair shop for BMW. Cheaper than dealer. Good timely service and friendly staff. Shuttle​ service offered. -1 star for estimate being off the actual price and no printout for alignment. Alignment done at a different shop (I think owned by same owner). I was verbally assured that it was done.

Came in for APR Stage 1. Whole process took just about an hour. I engaged in discussion about the APR stages with the man behind the front desk, He definitely knew the process and what to expect. I felt completely prepared and informed.

This is the best mechanic shop Ive EVER been to. I owe them big time. They saved my bacon and helped me work with the warranty company to force them to cover my damaged motor. I originally had my car towed to the dealer who didnt give 2 cents whether I got my car fixed or not. So on a whim I had my car towed to Alexs. They helped me and worked with the warranty company to get them to cover a replacement engine. If it wasnt for Alexs Autohous I really dont know where Id be. I honestly cant say enough good things about all of them. They truly care about you and are not your typical mechanic by any means. They treated me so well that I will never go to the dealer for anything every again. I would have given them 20 stars if I could. Theyre the best!

So, theres a reason why lovers go back to places they first met. Oh, such good feelings good memories travels. I drive close to an hour, one way to get my car serviced here. Theres a Mercedes dealership along the way, yet I go eons past them to get the best service and familial treatment for our cars. We werent in a hurry really, so we let them go over it with a tooth brush. They did. They found electronics from a previous owner left over in the vehicle had been causing a power drain on the battery and causing a repeating short circuit that randomly killed the blinkers.We are very appreciative for a school vehicle that is working full-time.Update 2021/06: As is with all machinery, things break. Yeah, our ignition switch broke. Again, without hesitation, we head to Alexs Auto. They diagnosed it, set expectations on how long itd possibly take, since they had to order parts from Mercedes. A ride home arranged (50+ miles round trip). A day later, vehicle is ready. Brilliant service, with smiles to top it off all. Tyres serviced and alignment done while at it, why not?
