I was on my way up north from Detroit when my car started to misfire. I contacted D and J since it was the closest shop. They got me in right away, diagnosed the issue, and got the repair done quick. Dan was very professional, honest, and kind. I would highly recommend their service to everyone.

I went here to get my car diagnosed. They found the problem in a timely manner and gave me a reasonable estimate. Didnt even charge me. Dan is very professional and straightforward to deal with. I didnt end up getting my car fixed there today because I had somewhere else I needed to be but I would definitely go back to them if I ever need work done when Im in the area.

Daniel is extremely knowledgeable and straightforward when it comes to estimates. I wasn’t quite sure what was going on with my vehicle but Dan was quick to troubleshoot the underlying issues. I had a few seized calipers and warped rotors which really made driving difficult to say the least. He ended up replacing my rotors, brakes and calipers all around for my 2013 Dodge Dart. I brought my vehicle in on a Thursday and had it back by the weekend which was extremely quick and I was thankful for that. They are very efficient and my vehicle now drives like new. I would recommend Daniel and his family run business to anyone for future repairs and diagnostic.

D&J Auto Repair provided fantastic service for my vehicle. Their quote for services was reasonable. Dan communicated the issues with my car very clearly. I was especially appreciative of them finishing the work on my car earlier than expected. I dropped my car off on a Friday with an initial expectation that the work would be done on Monday. On Saturday I received a call that the car was finished. Not only had they stayed later than close to finish my vehicle early, but they washed my rims and filled my washer solvent at no charge.

Had my power steering pump and lines replaced. Even though they were very busy, they managed squeeze mine in and repair in just a few days. After I got it back, steering has worked perfect.

They rent trucks to haul things in town.... what cracks me up is there trucks dont have a ball attachment... negative 4 star

We were stranded about 40 mins from home when the alternator went out. D and Js took the car in on a Friday around 4, they were able to get it done by noon the next day so we weren’t with out our vehicle too long. Great and kind service. I called D and J Auto Repair on a Saturday at 7:30am, Memorial Weekend and Dan picked up the phone. My brakes were scrapping and we were heading to Mackinaw Island for a couple days. Dan fit me in and had it done by noon. Great service and I would recommend anytime!!

My family went here twice because the car was not repaired correctly and had the same issue. We were charged around $400-450 for a replaced starter. After driving to Illinois, the car would not start. After having another mechanic look and diagnose the entire car he found they put a rebuilt faulty starter in the car. We had to buy a different ACTUAL brand new starter and get it replaced, there have been zero problem since. Waste of time and money. And was stranded in Illinois as a gas station because of them.

They fit me in last minute- even stayed after they closed briefly (I was running late), so they’re super patient. Found the issue quickly, resolved it quickly and at a reasonable price.Thank you!

I called 45 minutes before closing and they were able to get me in and identify the problem - and they fixed the car that same day - even though it was now after hours. They went above and beyond. One of my work vans had a wheel bearing go out on the freeway on a Saturday afternoon so I stopped at this shop to rent a truck. I noticed that they were also an auto repair shop so I asked if they could take a look. Even though they were closed for the day, the owner was kind enough to pull it in, diagnose the issues, get parts ordered/delivered from the local car parts shop and complete the repair. Two hours later, I was back on the road. Great service and pricing, would highly recommend and would use again in the future!

I rented a uhaul. They were so friendly. And the next day when I ran into medical problems and called letting them know I was going to be late returning the truck they were very understanding. I also forgot the blankets untill the next day. Again they were understanding of my situation. They didnt charge me extra. I appreciated their help. Also the truck was clean and in good working condition. Price was competitive. I would recommend their services for truck rental all day long.

I had taken a last minute trip from Tennessee to Michigan and around Frankenmuth it got bad. By the time I got to Auburn the sound was constant and it was clear that it was not a bandaid solution issue. D&J’s had stayed open late for me to get my van to them. Diagnosed it and repaired/replaced my alternator, coolant leak, a belt, and some line work in a matter of a day. I was able to get back home safely, and I can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond considering the situation I was in!

Had a flat on the freeway. The tow truck driver recommended D and J to fix the tire. They checked, it was unfixable, they recommended a tire shop and didnt charge me!

Had rusted exhaust manifold bolts, cracked manifold and rusted out oil dip stick tube...spoke with Dan to walk through the estimated costs for the repair and scheduled a time to drop off the vehicle. I dropped it off at 8am, had my car back by close of business the same day and his estimate was on target! Extremely reasonable rates and quick/quality work for difficult jobs. I consider myself pretty picky when it comes to mechanics but I can guarantee satisfaction based off my experience and will definitely be bringing my truck back for any job that surpasses my skill set. Highly recommend this shop!

I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Dan called me shortly after doing a free inspection and listed everything else needed with my car which was exactly what I had already known from my detailed inspection last year at my Nissan dealership. He couldn’t have been more honest or accurate. They were able to get everything finished the same day which was very convenient. They also did a test drive before I picked up the car which is very professional. He even followed up the next day to see if everything was working well, which it is. D&J Auto Repair has always done a good job and keep it at a fair price. They had to search for this one. Turns out a wire shorted and actually burned through on the starter. They replaced the wire, checked the battery and replaced the shock cylinder to hold up the hood for an extremely fair price.

I called D and J auto repair on tues. To see if they were able to put brakes and rotors on my car and they were able to do it the next day! Which was awesome! The tow truck driver was very nice, understanding, and quick. Then at the repair shop everyone was nice and made us feel welcome. We only had to wait about an hour but everything got fixed, the price was less than we expected, and we made it home. Thank you!

Check engine light came on in my sons car, fearing it could be a transmission problem we needed a quick diagnosis. We were able to get in the same day with repairs the following day (several other shops were 2-4 week wait). Turned out to be a relatively easy and inexpensive fix. Limited disruption to our schedule and honest/quick fix was very much appreciated.

It’s a solid garage. I took my house truck there to replace some rusted out brake lines. Got me right in. They were good at providing me with high and low end estimates. It came in on the low end. If I would have known that I would have had them do more work. Only down side is they forgot to tell me my truck was done.

This is the second time I’ve had D&J auto perform work on my 2011 van. This morning on the way in to work my muffler blew and started making a horrible noise. They were able to get me in right away, drive me back to work and within an hour I received a call that the work was done and at no charge! Other places would’ve charged me just to look at it! My van has come back running great twice now and I will be using them from now on for my moms truck as well when any issues arise. I’m glad I found a shop I can trust. Turn around time is great and the professionalism is top notch! I would highly recommend them!

Called D & J to get a part replaced they got me in within 30 minutes of my phone call. Dan replaced the part I brought with me in about an hour while I waited. The price was reasonable and I desperately needed to have my vehicle fixed asap. It doesnt get any better than that! They have always went out of there way to be as helpful as possible.

BEWARE. I would choose no stars. I asked tD and J to check my A/C checked and what came back was $900 to fix the A/C and another $900 for additional work that needed to be done for a total of $1,800. I took the quote to another mechanic and it cost me a total of $170. They walked me through everything D and J quoted and said it was not accurate. My A/C works great (after D&J quoted me $535 for a new compressor and the other issues did not exist. Their response was embarrassing to say the least.Attached are copies of the quote and what I paid. A/C works great.I saw the owners response and the A/C compressor is still working great. The other issue he responded to are vague guesses and based on the other shop were not valid. Wish there was a better outcome.

They’re no certified dealers, but they definitely know what they’re doing. I’m proxying from an Army base in Texas and have had work done on my 06 Acura J35 engine (weird car), and an older Oldsmobile 88. I got what I needed taken care of and D and J’s was able to overcome the hiccups and bumps involved, without charging me an arm and a leg. Thanks, from a U.S. Army soldier.

Honest fair pricing, my father is a mechanic in a different state and I sent him pictures of what was wrong. And he gave me an estimate on what to expect, they were on the low end of the estimate, and they got it in and out fast as possible. Everyone there was pleasant to do business with. Will definitely go back when ever I have car trouble. Also they texted me a few days after to check up, to make sure everything is working correctly. Which is a nice touch to add to their wonderful customer service.

D&J is a very honest repair shop that charges a fair price. These days that’s really hard to come by. I highly recommend them whether you have a foreign or domestic vehicle; I’ve taken both there and been very happy with the results.

Highly recommended! I was sent here from a friend and was very pleased. I originally went there for 1 fix and while there i asked about looking at some other issues. They were able to fix the original problem even after it turned into a bigger issue than it should of. Then able to address and fix one of the additional problems that I asked about and give me some advise and quote to get future work done at a great price. And all this was done at around closing time on a sunny Friday when most places are trying to send you on your way to close on time. This is a family ran business and it felt like you were part of it when there.

Love these guys! They’ve done work on both my vehicles: from basic oil changes and tire rotations on up to brakes, wheel bearings and power steering issues. They work quickly and their prices are very reasonable. They are always willing to drop me off at my office while they work on my vehicles or let me borrow a loaner car, which makes them very easy to work with. Highly recommended!
