I have two young sons that were suffering from the effects of the pandemic on the Appo school system. They were going into 2nd and 5th grade and falling behind. My wife and I both work full time and couldn’t step in to fill the big void the lack of in person learning was causing.I researched a few options in the Middletown area and decided to go with the Tutoring Center. I have been impressed from the beginning. Mr. Murphy performed thorough one on one testing with each child. He constructed individual learning plans based on their need. I could tell instantly that he genuinely cared about educating. And my boys left the first day excited. And I was happy to find one on one tutoring using actual books, paper and pencils! Not a child glued to an IPad! They were getting their fill of an IPad with remote public school.Now, eight months later, both of my sons are making great progress. They love going to tutoring! And my wife and I sleep better at night feeling that we are not failing our kids.I highly recommend the Tutoring Center.

My son has been going here and he has dramatically improved in his reading skills! Everyone is super helpful and they keep the kids excited to attend. They are also flexible with make up sessions! I highly recommend the Middletown tutoring center!

We came to the Tutoring Center last year when our son was struggling with math. He was in 4th grade at the time but so far behind that he was beyond frustrated and starting to hate it.Our son took the assessment and we learned he was two grades behind. We started a regimen of 3 days a week tutoring. The center worked closely with his teachers and we were amazed at the progress hes made. He no longer hates math and he looks forward to his lessons.Weve since also started tutoring in reading and thats been amazing as well. The services arent cheap, but we think of it as an investment in our son. Worth every penny.

I couldnt be happier with The Tutoring Center! Just before the Covid nightmare began my daughter, who had been struggling with her math grades for quite awhile, took a free assessment at the center that revealed that she was about 1.5 years behind where she should be. We immediately started her on their math program, 3 times per week. Just last week she took another assessment (after 40 tutoring sessions), and has already improved significantly - even more than what was guaranteed when we signed her up. Further, her confidence has skyrocketed, which is spilling over into her reading as well. We were really forlorn about our daughters grades and how she would get caught up - The Tutoring Center saved her. Highly recommend to anyone who needs academic help.

The Tutoring Center in Middletown has done amazing work with my son. His reading and math skills have grown so much in the 4 months that he has been attending. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. They make learning fun. There is a very systematic approach to the learning and it shows in the student improvement rates. Everything is well explained and very detailed so you know exactly how your child is progressing. My son really enjoys going and his confidence for reading has grown so much. I strongly recommend checking out the programs they offer!

The time my children have spent at the Tutoring Center has been invaluable, especially during the recent changes to their education as a result of the pandemic. I cannot they the staff enough for how much they have assisted my children during these uncertain times and helped them remain focused.

If I could leave zero stars I would. We utilized the tutoring center for our daughters ap calculus class. The quality of the tutoring was mediocre at best. Half of my childs costly time was spent waiting for the instructor to figure out the problem before it could be taught to her. To make matters worse, we moved to Maryland and formally cancelled future sessions according to their timelines...which are rather unreasonable themselves. We still continue to get charged $350 a month for a service we cancelled months ago. We have been ignored after making contact and it looks like legal action may have to be taken. Do yourself a favor and go to the sylvan learning center across the street where they are significantly more professional.

We love the Tutoring Center. We have been bringing our son here for 3 years now! He has straight As, is confident and loves coming to enhance his learning! The best part is the fact that they listen to your concerns about what your child struggles with, and then they put a plan into action to help them improve!!! They have genuine interest in seeing your child succeed and are real partners in the learning experience for your child. It is worth every penny to see the confidence on our sons face!

Before starting I had an SAT score that I wasnt proud of. After spending 2 days a week this past summer I was able to raise to higher than I had originally expected. Everyone here was very kind and understanding and really helped me grow.

So I came from Ghana and was really worried because I had written the SAT before and had a score of 1000/2400 in the old SAT. My aunt recommended The Tutoring Center (Middletown,DE) to me and the teachers and staff there were very encouraging, helped me in every way they could, and have just been a blessing. In the new SAT, I shot up to 1290/1600. Its really gonna help me with my college plans, tuition, and has also prepped me to be confident in any exam I will write in the nearby future.

The Tutoring Center has already exceeded our expectations when it comes to our son. Hes only been attending for a couple of weeks and we can already see a change in him. I cant wait to see where hell be by the time he starts school this year.

My son needed help with reading and math and the Tutoring Center in Middletown has tailored a tutoring program that meets his specific needs and has gone above and beyond by meeting with his Charter School Teacher to ensure both classrooms are working together to meet his needs. If your child needs assistance, I strongly recommend you give them a try.

I have been going to the tutoring Center a for a few months. and my Grades have improved and my GPA is now a 3.8. they are wonderful people working there, dealing with all sorts of personalities. They make you feel like a family.I am really going to miss going there.

Because of the tutoring center I have increased my scores past my personal goal and I cant wait to go further. Hannah and Lynn have encouraged me to try my best through reading and math.

Both of my daughters currently attend The Tutoring Center. My oldest really needed help with her math skills and my youngest just needed a head start with kindergarten. Both of them are doing much better in school!! We love the staff and they have met new friends too!

My daughter was not grasping reading and phonics skills as quickly and as fluently as we had hoped at the beginning of 1st grade. We came to The Tutoring Center for help. After only a few short months she has blossomed! She is receiving an award for most improved in Reading from her classroom teacher. She has made so many friends there as an added bonus. She started her first chapter book this week! Please give them a try. They have a great staff!
