I got a text the morning of the appointment letting me know exactly how far the technician was and when he’d arrive. Once Paul got to my house he was very respectful wearing a mask and put booties over his work boots. He was very informative about what we had going on with our furnace and got us signed up for the comfort care club. Paul fixed our furnace and installed a thermostat which he also gave a quick lesson on how to use. He was efficient, quick and cleaned up like he was never there. I’d definitely recommend this company and Paul to anyone around

The crew was top notch. Jericho and Scott were great and really knew their stuff. Jericho is a very friendly outgoing person who seems to truly love the work he does and the people he meets. Scott having been with the company for around 20 years shows his experience in the work he performs. We were very happy with the installation AStar just completed. Our entire experience with the staff especially Jason has been top notch. Our interactions with John, the apprentices and the office staff have also been friendly, courteous and responsive.

Not upfront at all with how they do their pricing. No itemized billing. Friendly quick service but felt like this could have been explained up front. Tech was here less than an hour replaced 1 part of our ac unit and cost 800. Was told they charge flat fee per job no matter how long they are there. Good tech and nice service on the phone, just wish the pricing was more clear.

After contacting a few other plumbing businesses, who were not able to offer emergency service, I contacted Astar because our hot water heating was leaking and we needed an emergency plumber. Luckily they offer emergency service and their technician Kent Dalman arrived at our home within a few hours of contacting Astar. He was able to replace our leaking hot water within a few hours. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and made sure that the hot water heater was working correctly prior to leaving our home. We are very pleased with the service that Kent and Astar provided, especially in an emergency. Cindy in Customer Service was extremely helpful and very nice. We highly recommend Astar.

Great experience through the whole process. Our install team led by Jose was fantastic. He was very professional and checked multiple times to make sure things were as planned and if we had any questions.

The lead Guy Jericho I wanted to adopt, Mark is reserved bit his laugh is jolly and Baby Boomer Scott is quiet but his wisdom and experience brings assuring comfort, don’t retire anytime soon Scott! After the Guys were in my home for two days I didn’t want them to leave 😢 Finally Jericho showed me how to use the thermostat, and I have the user manual for that and the boiler just to familiarize myself with everything. A water valve broke on our customers water tank inside there home. We called Astor Plumbing in Monroe New York on a Saturday. The gentleman on call Tom came from Astor Plumbing, he was Fantastic, knew what he was doing and his truck had all the parts needed. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful service provider. Jericho Male was very timely and patient with a good sense of humor 😊. His leadership skills were evident as well as his ability to support others. Mark, Jesus and Anthony were also helpful, took care while in my home and were also respectful. We hope Mark is well as he did not return the second day.Also, window units were put in to make the two day process in 90 degree humid weather more tolerable. Astar was the best choice we could have made. We recently had central air installed in our newly purchased home. From start to finish they were excellent! Beginning with the estimate, Jeff was professional, straight forward and personable. He walked us through the process and nothing came as a surprise to us. Once the installation actually began we had the pleasure of working with Nick and Esteban. We couldnt have asked for a better set of people to do this for us. We knew right away that this would be great as they both took the time to make our 8 month puppy feel comfortable with them being in the house for a few days. They were also incredibly respectful when it came to working from home, as they made sure my wife didnt have anything important while they were making noise. Upon completion they walked us through the important parts of the system that we will need to know. Overall this was an absolutely wonderful experience. We will be using them again and recommending them to anyone who asks.

*Sigh* Where to begin? Greg rode in like an extremely pragmatic knight in shining armor to rescue me from my ancient sewer line. Prior to calling Astar, I had tried a number of other plumbing services, who weren’t even returning my phone calls, let alone giving me an estimate on the job. Astar immediately took my call, set up an appointment to evaluate the situation, and promptly provided me with an estimate for the work. The customer service was A+ from word go. Greg was straight with me about the cost, and Jenny was amazingly helpful in walking me through the steps and coordinating the different contractors involved. When I ran into trouble finding a tree service, and was being told from everyone I know that all of the tree people were booked out for months, a quick word from Greg and I found someone who was able to help me out immediately and did an excellent job. I’m so grateful. Everyone was top notch, and I can’t believe how they managed to contain the job so as to minimize any damage to the existing landscaping. And they were all super nice to my dogs! Replaced second floor AC system.The three installers were quick, and efficient. They cleaned up so where they worked was just as clean as when they arrived. They explained what they were going to do, they did it, then explained operation and maintenance when thy were done. They placed tarps where they would be walking. Very happy with their work. I will use Astar when I am ready to replace the first floor AC.

Technician showed honesty and informed me that I should replace my dehumidifier unit, as that would be a better financial decision.

The plumber came on time and worked in a professional manner. He tried to find my water leak from my shower but did not see it leaking at this time.The plumber was very nice and told me if I see it leaking call them right away. Hopefully when he comes back in another week they will see where it’s leaking from, but if it’s not leaking at the time when he is here I guess there’s nothing he can do, but open some more sheet rock and look for some water leaks below the shower.

We started off rocky because of a missed/cancellation…but Thomas did come back the following week as promised and did a fantastic job connecting plumbing and cleaning out a line for us. Will definitely request him again.

John, Jesus and Anthony were very polite knowledgeable guys. They explained step by step all parts of the system and remote use. Astar was a bit more expensive than competitors but the service was okay.This is an update, Paul a tech has had to come back twice because after the unit is on for a while theres a drip onto my floor. I have the unit on overnight and not going to touch it, just to see what happens in the morning. Otherwise Paul explains and looks everything over.I keep trying to post but it only lets me update... I left the upstairs & downstairs on and when I got there the floor and sheetrock were drenched. Called again and Harry came over and looked at everything including the outside unit. Since the downstairs wall unit was frozen he put both on heat mode and waited. After some time he found a wire problem outside that had been labeled incorrectly and fix it right away. Waited again, explained what might have been happening and I think that might have done it. I hope this is the end of story till next years maintenance check up. Thanks Harry!

Astar was able to set up my account quickly since the previous homeowner had used them as well, so that saved me time. They were able to schedule my repair for a Saturday morning without an after-hours fee, which was great because I didnt have to miss work. Paul explained all my options, including different price points and future work that might be needed, and so far the system is working great! I only wish Id called sooner.

My outdoor plumbing, including my much-loved shower, got badly damaged last Winter because the water wasnt turned off. Gregg repaired and replaced everything, and upgraded the mixing valve and shower-head.Yes, I paid for it and it was worth every penny .Getting service in Sullivan County is problematic. Astar was a standout!I highly recommend them.

My 2 techs were Mark Douglas And Matthew Feeney They Were at my home installing my central air and installing all new duct work and they did a amazing job . Everyday they were at my home early and when it was time to go they made sure to clean up after themselves. My 2 techs made sure I understood everything and had rapid responses to all of my many questions . Astar is a company that has done work for me before and I’ve always had a great experience with their employees but my 2 AC tech went above and beyond to inform me of everything I needed to know about my new AC unit . Thank you Matt and Mark for your great work and experience .

Jason came to my home to provide me with an estimate for air conditioning. He was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. He provided me with great information and several options. My experience with Jason and his representation of the company was superb.

The rep that came to the house to repairs the AC was very professional, diagnosed the problem in less that 7 minutes and did the work in 37 minutes (from knock on the door to the payment for the work done). My issue is with billing, They are not upfront with the way in which they bill. When I called I was clear that it was not an emergency (lets get that out of the way) and I could wait. They young lady was very friendly and said that it did not matter and they had availability for the same day. I agreed on the day and she explained that there would be a $199 diagnostic charge that would be credited if they performed the work.Fast forward to completion of job. I was only offered options to pay for the work performed and I assumed that this was based on the cost of the part, service call and labor. WRONG...they have a set fee and no matter how much the part cost or the time they spend working on the issue, they will charge the same. I received a bill that did not show the breakdown of the the work done (cost of part, service call fee and labor), instead it reads Performance Enhancement System Rejuvenation $460. When I researched the part that was replaced, I found out that at its highest price point it would be $38 as it was a universal part hat was installed. I then called them to get and Itemized bill that explained all the charges and was told that they do not do that and instead they have one set fee for all jobs, wether 10 minutes or ten hours and regardless of the cost of the part. I find this difficult to understand but it is their policy, so BEWARE before you ask them to come over for a simple job. There is no transparency with their billing. Do your research and make sure that you have full knowledge of pricing before making appointment. Lesson learned, I will be more diligent before simply calling and making appointment based on reviews. Need to be aware of pricing policy and transparency in billing statement. $40 part + 37 total minutes of client contact and repair = $460

Harry is awesome, Astar does an amazing job and customer service is excellent. Replaced an old unit that was surging and not blowing air. They took care of every issue and worked around the clock to get it done.

Called Astar and they gave me an appointment for the next morning. They texted ahead with name and picture of service rep. Tom Connelly did a great job and a good estimate for another issue I have. He was professional and knowledgeable. Overall very satisfied.

The service man was very professional, very courteous and we felt totally comfortable with him doing the job which he seem to have done really well. We are however in the age of Covid and I do recommend two things if anybody wants to work with us. You have to be either fully vaccinated or do you need to come up to our house wearing a mask if you aren’t. I was very happy that he Complied and went back to his vehicle to retrieve a mask which he used for the rest of the visit here. I am just overly cautious and I think everybody else should be as well especially when you have a strange person coming into your house who you don’t know in this environment. Otherwise he gets a good grade and I recommend him for anybody that’s going to need Astars services

I had a water leak within the wall of my home . Mike Rivera’s experience and expertise rose above and beyond the occasion. He immediately identified the problem in no time at all. I have had multiple repairs completed by ASTAR and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend their service. Better than the rest.

Bruce showed up in the rain, worked in the rain, and fixed our AC in the rain. The original emergency service call had resulted in us waiting a protracted lead time for a part, so Bruce was sent to see if the problem could be addressed sooner via an alternate path. He had the system back in working order in about an hour. We were the benefactors of Bruce’s extensive experience, although I’m thinking he carries a bit of magic around with him on his truck. Well done.

Nick used a “camera snake” to locate roots growing into our sewer main, and arranged for a service that will allow us to put off digging up the driveway to fix it for at least a few years. He was polite, knowledgeable, and explained things thoroughly.

Astar was recommended to me by my mother. Shes been a care club member for a few years. I recently purchased a home and I was experiencing some water back up issues and figured we had a blockage. I contacted Astar and they were out to my home within 2 hours on a SUNDAY and the only reason it took that long was because the technician was coming from at least an hour and a half away. Tom Connolly was my technician and I will be requesting him for more services if I can. Tom was knowledgeable and straight to the point. Ive heard things can be too good to be true, but Astar is just that good. Hope this helps anyone that may be on the fence about using Astar for all your hvac and plumbing needs.

Nick was so nice! He explained the problem, fixed it promptly, was upfront about the cost, and explained how to prevent it from happening again. We had a deep blockage in the water pipes which caused flooding in our downstairs restroom. Cleaned up everything after he was done! Highly recommended!

They installed a new water softener, indirect water heater and a HotLink Plus circulation system. All work was done neatly and seemed to be of the first rank. Both John and Tom were quick to answer questions and told us to give the new HotLink system a few days to conform to our hot-water habits. Still, one hour after they had left we had water, heating up to hot within 30 seconds. It was a great experience.
